Voters across the political spectrum, Republicans, Democrats and everything in between agree

that corporate money is destroying our democracy, and they want that money gone.

Late last week, a judge didn't get rid of political money, but he did decide that these

donors can't remain anonymous any longer and that Americans have a right to know who's

buying their elected officials.

Joining me to talk about this and other major stories is Farron Cousins, executive editor

of The Trial Lawyer Magazine.

Farron, important story, the problem is it's just started its way up the appellate process.

Yeah.

What bothers me most about this story is this should've been decided in 2012 when Karl Rove.

These aren't my words, but Karl Rove was broadly known as the turd blossom.

The turd blossom had a plan and his plan was to get secret money into elections where we

don't know where the money came from.

That was tested.

FEC says yeah, that's fine.

This is back in 2012.

The election commission says no problem here.

We're going to allow it.

Pick it up from there.

Well, the group, CREW, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, back in 2012 when

Karl Rove was doing this Crossroads GPS and the other Crossroads groups, they filed a

complaint, challenged this, and it took six years for this thing to finally come to a

trial really.

The judge last week said you know what, this is correct.

You have to disclose who is donating to your group because you're using your group to essentially

fund politicians, you're funding these political ads.

We have to have some kind of transparency in this country.

Yeah.

If they donate more than $200 in dark money to any group out there, we have a right to

know who they are.

And that's huge.

What they're worried about, obviously you're a corporation like Exxon and you're giving

money to some political hack who votes for you all the time.

Exxon is worried you're now going to target that political hack.

There's going to be ads where you see his picture, these pictures up on a screen telling

the story about how they're pumping money into elections to buy politicians.

That's what they're afraid of.

CREW, to their credit, said you know, there's one way to stop all that and that is kind

of politics in sunshine.

Let's shed a light on it.

Let's see what's really happening.

What do you think the effect of this is, the net effect?

Well, I think right now, as you mentioned, this thing is going to be appealed all the

way to the Supreme Court.

There's no question about that.

Right now, this is good, especially heading into the midterms.

We need to know what these little super PACs who run these ads on behalf of candidates,

we need to know who's funding this, which corporations, which power players out there

are really pulling the strings.

In the next couple months, as long as this doesn't get an emergency appeal up to the

Supreme Court and get overturned, we could see a little bit more transparency.

As you said, it's not going to stop this corporate money, but at least now we know when we see

an ad and it says funded by Crossroads GPS.

Well, who is funding Crossroads GPS?

We don't just need to know that they paid for it.

We need to know who is paying them.

Okay.

Reality check.

Okay.

Reality check.

We got Kavanaugh probably going to come into the Supreme Court.

It's going to be a super majority of conservatives.

By the time this is all over, Ginsberg says I'm holding on for another five years.

Ginsberg ain't going to be there for five more years.

I can just tell you that.

He's looking at this super majority.

Case like this comes up, we look at Citizens United again, don't we?

Isn't this just a repeat?

Citizens United says you can give as much money away as you want.

Now, this case says yeah you can do that, but it can't be in secret.

Supremes will take that and they'll say no, it's okay to do it in secret.

That's my call.

isn't limiting how corporations can give, we may see a couple of the people who've occasionally

surprised us.

gonna be a three-part video the first part of this video is gonna be talking

about the universal attributes that you want every single one of your products

to have right because I can't show you the exact product that you should sell

and that's gonna make you the most money $100 plus per day I can show you how to

do it but you still have to add your own creativity and your own experience to

this guy's and so I'm gonna give a lot of examples but I'm gonna teach you how

to do it in your own way so that you can go out and crush this right so part 1 is

going to be the universal attributes that you want all products to have part

2 is going to be some really awesome super secret ways that I personally do

product research to find these types of ridiculously profitable products and

then part 3 is going to be teaching you how to set up a fully optimized mobile

and desktop website and how to actually be able to accept payments on so you can

get paid so you can make that coveted $1.00 per day as a kid or a beginner or

whatever you are we're gonna do this with literally zero money to start guys

so let's get directly into this first thing that we

are going to talk about is the universal attributes we want all of the products

no matter where you find them how you find them to have right number one is

perceived value so what is something with perceived value a perfect example

is diamonds right diamonds in real life in the real world right are not actually

that expensive but you know the diamond conglomerates you know artificially kind

of manipulate the supply to make more demand and that's you know topic for

another conversation but the moral of the story guys is a diamond seems

valuable but in reality it's not actually that valuable it's not that

difficult monetarily to produce right to these diamond companies the huge ones to

Beers right it probably cost them $1.00 to actually go out and mine that diamond

that they're selling for $1000 I mean you have that type of massive

differential between what you pay and what your end consumer pays that is what

the massive profit margin is and that is how you actually become profitable doing

this whole econ thing right so perceived value is a beautiful thing that you want

all of your products that have right number two is light and non-breakable

and the reason for this guy's is because you don't want to have a lot of your

products you know ship out to your customer and get broken in transit and

arrive at their door broken you don't want to pay you to absorb it it fees for

shipping and things like that it just trust me when I tell you that light and

non-breakable generally is a good thing and it's just something that you want

your products to have right and these aren't like just steadfast rules if you

find an amazing product and maybe it's not that light or maybe it's not the

most non breakable thing in the world there's ways to get around it right like

extra bubble wrap and foam and things like that so don't let me like

completely kill a beautiful awesome idea that you have just because it doesn't

fit one of these three fins these are a general guidance then you have to use

your own creativity and your own mind and your own kind of experiences and

your own product research to find these beautiful products so number three is

proven trending popular right now because the thing about drop shipping

guys and the thing about Shopify the thing about you know making 100 hours

per day and doing it quickly is not you don't have to go find a brand new

product that no one's ever bought before you don't have to go find a brand new

product it doesn't have demand yet right that's that's not the way you should be

looking at this you should be looking at this like finding a awesome product

that's already proven right it's already popular it's already trending it already

has social proof and what by social proof is people are sharing it

on social media people are commenting on it people are saving it in pinchers

people are literally proving that they are interested in it in a massive way

via social proof so you don't have to guess when you remove the guessing from

this whole process that is how you make money immediately quickly and that is

how you make money with no money to start all right guys so product research

method number one and now that the Sun is fully in my eyes let's get it

directly into it and remember like Yoda says do or do not there is no try so

let's get into it the first method that I want to talk about guys is a method

using Google Google is an incredibly powerful tool that people actually don't

use as often as they should with Shopify with how you know how to make $100 per

day if you understand Google fully and how to use all the little tips and

tactics and tricks with Google you pretty much don't need any other actual

product research tool but a lot of people just don't know how to use Google

correctly so for the people that have used Shopify before Shopify is one of

the most popular e-commerce platforms and how they set up their link structure

on the link structure the literal URL structure of their websites is they have

like a back end that's called dot my Shopify com they doesn't always show up

right so what you can do is you can go into Google right and just literally

type my Shopify dot-com and then add a plus here right and then watch this

magic happen so let look literally I could type anything here I could type

jewelry or diamonds or whatever I want right but the beautiful thing is Google

will literally autofill these for me and show me by letter what the most popular

search queries are and let me show you exactly what I mean so if I type

literally just the letter A here it's going to show me what the most popular

things are that people are searching for related to this query right so people

are searching for accessories anime apparel right B beauty baby

backpack bags bracelets bikinis Beach basketball bikes black write all of

these different things clothing cooking camping like let's just

choose yeah so let's just use cats here and let's take a look at one of these

sites because what we can do here is we can actually like learn a lot of stuff

about you know what's going on with the Shopify store so if I click in here

right there's a lot of different stuff our story accessories clothing cell

phone case is home decor right they have a lot of

different stuff here but there's another fun little hack that I like to use again

that's taking advantage of how Shopify sets up their URL structure because they

use the same URL structure and the same back-end

for all of their different websites on their platform and so literally there's

this little hack this link that you can add to the end of pretty much any

Shopify store if they set it up custom then you can't do this but most Shopify

stores you can add this slash collection slash all question marks sort underscore

buy equals best selling so I'm gonna copy this and if you want to write this

down you know feel free to pause the video and write it down really quick and

what we're gonna do is go to the same website that we just looked at right and

we're gonna paste this right here and now instead of having to go through all

the different products and make guesses about what their best selling products

are right we can literally just press enter and voila

here we see that their best selling products here our anti-slip kitty squad

Matt and the cat sunglasses and a cat whatever this is their thermos mug right

and so here we see browse by sort by best selling so we basically hacked this

site to force it to show us their best selling products and this works for

pretty much any Shopify site so again we could come back in here and we could

type in anything right we can literally type d-dogs

e electronics elephant essential oils literally pretty much infinite options

here and so again don't copy what I'm doing exactly you know go A to Z and if

something catches your mind and something catches your eye excuse me

start to look at those products and start to you know apply again this I'm

little hack to see what their best selling products are and then you can

actually go to all the Express and see if you can find it for cheaper so you

can actually start to estimate what these people are making from each sale

and since I love you guys I'm gonna show you exactly how to do that so it's like

one other quick look at this site we'll just choose their best seller here and

this is another extremely fun hack you know that just you guys know this is

gonna be a shameless plug but the Shopify ninja master class has the

craziest hacks you ever seen this is just scratching the surface but let's

killing it on ecommerce so what you can do here guys is you can actually

right-click and search search Google for image right so this is actually an image

search so if we click here right I'd be willing to bet that there is literally

this exact picture on Aliexpress and all the Express is where you actually find

these products for super cheap in China so let's actually look at this so we see

Amazon zazzle cats for life and Aliexpress right here and we see that

the price in the USA it looks like is five forty seven and let's see how much

it actually cost to ship this piece and we see that it actually does have

completely free shipping a packet which is the fastest form of shipping again

twelve to twenty days so it's free shipping so 559 is probably gonna be the

price that we're gonna pay to ship this to the USA plus again zero dollars for

shipping and they are selling it for twenty six twenty six ninety so if we do

twenty six ninety minus and then we have the five fifty nine here - five fifty

nine and we're gonna estimate you know between three and five dollars I'm for

paid traffic because you actually have to run ads to get people to come to your

site so we'll just call that five dollars which is pretty conservative -

five means that they are profiting sixteen dollars and 31 cents on each

sale of this anti-slip kiddie mat right and then if we divide it with a sixteen

point three one so if we do a hundred dollars per day divided by sixteen point

dope about of my sixteen point three one we see that we only have to sell six of

these per day to make one hundred dollars per day as a kid as a beginner

you know as someone who's completely broke and just starting out guys and

this is literally a step-by-step tutorial of how exactly you do this how

to know how much shipping is how to estimate add cost right how to know how

much your cost of goods sold are how to find this product on all the express

literally by doing a reverse google image search so again guys I always

bring it to you 100% live 100% zero steps skipped a to see everything that

you need no hidden anything right I talked about shipping I talked about add

cost talks about yeah cost to buy this product I showed you

exactly how to search it by doing a reverse image search directly from their

best sellers using another hack so that is product research method number one

let's fly through these next two because I love Pinterest and I use it all time

so let's actually type in jewelry here and what we see guys is we can actually

go into any of these right and we can literally see how many times these are

being saved right and so literally it's showing that you know easy crawl it

saved it 140 1000 times that particular necklace has been saved so let's look

for something that's interesting right because like we don't want just a

generic necklace we want something that we can actually target on Facebook right

so if somebody likes astronomy and somebody likes necklaces and somebody

you know has somebody that's that's coming up in the near future that has

like you know an anniversary present all of which are things you can target on on

Facebook you can target people on Facebook for this might be a good one

right because like if they like the Sun and the moon and astronomy and necklaces

then they might be interested in a necklace that has astronomy and the Sun

and the moon on it you know what I mean so 14,000 people like this and again

this is what I mean by social proof guys people are true are proving that they're

interested in it so let's just take an example here of one that looks

interesting so let's just take an example here we'll do this one so we see

41,000 pin so 41,000 people went out of their way to actually save this right

and so what the heck is this a terrarium necklaces preserved tiny pieces of

nature you can always carry with you right so this is this is great this is

not only sentimental right you can put whatever you want in it like little

pieces of nature beautiful it's definitely very unique I've never seen

this before so let's actually use our same fun

little hack here search Google for image all right and let's type in all we see

if we see it okay so we don't see all the Express here but it does give us the

keywords up here because somebody named this actual JPEG the image that they

used they named it terrarium necklace so

let's go here let's go into all the Express and let's type in terrarium

necklace and voila we see a bunch of terrarium necklaces here cuz good old

all express always has written everything so let's type in so what I

just did in here guys is I sorted it by orders right because it sorts it by

for best match but if you actually sort by orders it shows you a lot more data

right we don't want to guess about anything we want data we want social

proof and what this is telling us is 441 people have ordered this little you know

Rose terrarium necklace again it's a dollar ten to actually buy this with a

dollar 87 to ship it right so it's less than three dollars completely total

costs so if you're selling it for 14.95 right 15 dollars and it cost three you

have 12 dollars of margin right if we if we put $5 or $3 which is which is

realistic to be able to sell one of these aren't with a facebook ad right

that's still almost ten dollars per day or $10 profit per sale so you have to

sell ten of these in one day which is very easy to do with the scale of

Facebook ads and again the Shopify ninja master class shameless plug teaches you

like to use Pinterest again reverse image search to find these exact

products on on all Express and even if it's not here in the results you can

just take the keywords and search for it so that is product research method

number two but we're not quite done yet so let's come back to the home page here

of all the Express and oops I just like the URL bar to be clean so if now we're

at the kind of home page of all the Express right so what I'm gonna do guys

and this is actually a new feature you can see the little new right here um

this is kind of the same thing as like Lightning Deals on Amazon but this is a

really cool new feature because you can actually you can actually filter it by

different category so literally again we never like to guess guys social proof if

people are buying these and you can see the amount claimed then you know that

people are interested in these things right and these are literally again you

know limited time 30-day best prices recommendations and we can go through

one at a time view health and beauty right

epi roller smooth Bend 60 sold 54 percent off 30 percent claim right we

want to look for some stuff that has a lot of things claimed right like and you

know this is necessarily sexy nail repair essence

serum fungal nail treatment remover but a lot of times guys things that aren't

sexy cell because I don't you know if I had a fungus on my toenail I wouldn't

want to go in and talk to a cashier and have to like show them and they're like

you know they're imagining and picturing my fungus toenail I'd rather just buy it

on the Internet right and this is it this is three dollars and ninety nine

cents I would if I had toenail fungus I'd probably pay twenty thirty forty

dollars for that I don't know and so you know sometimes the non sexy stuff sells

guys and if nothing else is an amazing way to just do product research I would

never in a million years even think to sell a fungal toenail kit right or like

a ceramic nail drill or any of this stuff or like specifically this one wow

that's creepy yeah so so that's just kind of how you use the flash deals and

what I like to look for is a high percentage of claim right in a low

percentage of time so these are you know happen I think daily you can see the

up-and-coming ones right like it's this one starts in five hours and 14 minutes

so what I like to do is look for the way I refreshed it right as the new one

starts right and whichever of these is selling out the fastest it really means

a lot to me because again it's proven real data and you can see that people

have interest in that and then you can actually go ahead and go try to sell

those same products on yourself and again it's just amazing it's amazing way

to have this social proof and to have the real sales in front of you which is

an amazing when I'm saying amazing a lot which is an awesome way to be able to

actually you know know before you invest this time and energy that these things

are actually going to sell so the last thing that I want to talk about really

quickly product research is something that I've used for a long time guys

which is Google Alerts if you don't know about Google Alerts

know about it because it's an incredibly powerful tool that I've used to make a

ton of money for literally probably ten years now in a variety of different ways

so what you can do guys is you can come in here google.com slash alerts and you

can type anything the reason that I have quotes around it is because now it's

gonna do blow is going to scan the entire internet right for the exact

phrase sold out gifts and sold out gifts is one of the best ways that I've

personally used to be able to find a ton of really cool trending popular

you know awesome new products to be able to sell right and you can you can do a

lot of different stuff here you can write trending gifts you can write

popular gifts right you can write a lot of different stuff and you could write

trending gifts you know for Dad trending gifts and then you could say dog right

and it's going to go out there and it's gonna look at it's gonna look at the

entire internet and it's gonna show you google is literally going to you know

you can do it as it happens once per day once per week I do at most once per day

right sources I do automatic language again English that's the language I

speak if I was selling in the United the United Kingdom I would choose UK here if

I was selling in the US I choose US Australia Australia Canada Canada etc

right so I just use the United States here and then I let Google actually tell

me only the best results Google is the best aggregator of information in the

entire world and now directly delivered straight to my inbox my Google Gmail

right I get literally the best results from all around the internet and my

personal favorite guys is sold out gifts and then again you can add anything you

want here dog you could write you know cat you could write all different types

of stuff here or you can just go general and then it's literally going to show

you all of the different cool results from all around the entire Internet in

one summarised beautiful way and you can just go through that takes you five

minutes and sometimes you stumble upon a gem that Google shows you before the

market knows about it and that is how you make 100 dollars per day as a kid as

a beginner as whatever guy's understanding and how to use these

beautiful tools and then going out there and applying it because the truth is

guys if you're still watching this you're probably the 1% right because

only 1% of people are probably going to watch this full video and only 1% of

that 1% is actually going to go out there and do something about it right

the only 1% of the people watching this video are gonna take action join my

$1,000 Half Dollar Hunt - Silver and More! - Duration: 7:56.

hey everybody its Rob the Rob finds treasure and I've got two boxes that I'm

gonna hunt of half dollars today one thousand dollars these are the NF string

and Sons rolls I haven't had a lot of luck lately so I figured I would hunt

these two I got two from my grocery store bank and they're Loomis wrapped rolls and

there's actually a mixed up box of both we have the yellow and olive green

rolls which I love so I went ahead and checked all the boxes for Enders there's

no silver enders in these ones but this top box has a 67 silver ender and these

are from the same Bank so I figured I'd save these for a live stream since we

have guaranteed silver and I'd rather give some silver away than just find it

for myself but don't get me wrong I am hoping

there's silver in the two boxes that I have here again no Enders it's been a

tough time with me with NF string and Sons lately and with silver in general

lately so because of that I'm hoping I find something cool in here I've

actually picked up the pace on finding some double dies and actually finding

some nice coins as well as some NIFC's but Silver's been tough so

we're gonna go through these two boxes hopefully I find something worth showing

and if I do I'll loop you in along the way let's start this hunt with this roll

right here okay guys we're on roll 12 and you know what it's a good thing I

had a bad tear job look at this I started to tear it I thought I'll fix

that in a second but I catch a glimpse of something silvery as I was tearing

and thought you know what let's run with this let's see what this is while I have

you here let me go ahead and set the tripod up actually to see we know what

no we're not going to set the tripod up - let's just do this one-handed

this will make it a little tougher but we're gonna do it anyway well let's just

unroll it and see if that's silver first it's pretty shiny

so it's either painted a 90 percenter or some kind of commemorative or proof but

it looks almost too good to be true

and look at that I was just thinking I don't get a lot of 90%'ers I get a lot of

40%'ers if I get silver and this thing is beautiful Wow

and it's a Denver Mint so you can't get mad I was hunting this box cuz I didn't

think they'd be much in it and we get a 90 percenter while I have you here just

in case let's see if there's anything else in this roll it doesn't look like

it no but 12th roll in we've got a 90

percenter so either a sign of good things to come or just a lucky find

but either way we'll take a 90 percenter all day roll 31 roll popped open quickly

so I couldn't leave it wrap guys but I think we have another 40 percent of here

me do a little research this I can't recall if this is a silver clad or if

this is just silver ninety percent because it looks more than forty percent

but you never know let me do a little research and I'll be right back so I'm

pretty happy with this silver clad S mint mark 1976

it looks more than 40 percent silver but it's 40 percent silver still a great

score we'll put it up here next to the eight ninety percent silver and keep

hunting - we finished that first box a half dollars guys and you know what it was a

pretty good box we got an 89 philadelphia keeper coin

and a 71 denver keeper coin look at the NIFC's oh three ten eleven eleven

eleven a fourteen and a 16 so seven NIFC's and then of course the two finds

of the box was a 64 out of Denver 90 percenter and a 1976 San Francisco mint

40 percent silver clad can't get too mad at that got some silver got some keepers

got some NIFC's and that was just box one or could've been box two we never

know but now I'm gonna move onto box 2 either way and see if we find some more

of what we just found roll ten of box 2 guys and I missed an ender so I don't

know how I missed it in the car but we do have a 74 s proof pretty bad shape

probably need to wipe it down with some micro cloth see if I can clean it up but it's

the first good find of this box along with one nifc

so we're oft and running on box 2 found a find roll 14 and we found a counter

struck coin here looks like somebody put an x marks the spot where poor Kennedy

was assassinated it's a 72 D so I also checked it for the no FG and that's

what I first saw because it was I happen to flip it around and saw was a 72 I

flipped it back over and noticed that there are some damage right on the tail

feathers so then I flipped it over and that's when I noticed the x marks the

spot so it's one of the unique finds we'll pull it aside and we'll keep

hunting for more finds very next roll, roll 15 check this out

looks like we got a silver 1967 40%'er out of Philadelphia on the board with

our first silver of this box to go along with the proof and already 4 NIFC's plus

a counter struck coin so we're doing pretty well on these two boxes we've

still got lots of our rolls to go I knew when I found silver in this box because

they were shipped together or at least my pickup was together we had a good

chance of scoring some silver in the second box and remember for our live

stream we still have a sixty seven forty percent ender on that top box alright

let's look for more roll number 19 how you doing there little fella

looks like a Count Dracula holding a trick-or-treat bag I'm not familiar

with this cartoon character maybe you guys are it's a 72 can't see if it's a

d but it's got the FG still a unique find we'll set it aside that goes with

this guy okay box 2 of the half dollars is hunted and

ended up being a really good box we ended up with one silver 67

we got a 74 s proof a couple of uh odd finds and look at the NIFC's I think

there's 9 an 02, 07 an 08 a 10 two 11 a 12 a 13 a 14 and a 17 so that makes 16

NIFC's for the boxes to go along with three silvers and a proof hopefully you

Where Have I Been? (Update Video) - Duration: 3:16.

Hello, my name is Queline also known as kikikrazed

and it's been a long time since my last video.

Yeah, so I haven't posted since 2016

so I thought that I would make a little update video

to tell you guys where I've been.

Mostly, I've been making stuff for school.

In 10th grade, so about the time that I

stopped making these videos,

I made a video for school

about LGBT representation in media.

I put it on another channel that I use for school stuff

so I'll put a link in the description.

I also am in a film class at my school,

so I make films there.

I actually made one this past year that won

"Best in Animation" at a local film festival,

I'll put a link to that as well.

So yeah, I haven't stopped making things,

I just haven't been putting them on YouTube,

I've been putting them in other places

So, there's also some updates about my channel.

I made a lot of videos private because I just

didn't like them and I didn't like having them

up on my channel for everyone to see.

But I think the only video left with my face in it is

my Small YouTuber Tag from a while ago, so

that's another reason why I wanted to make this video--

so that wasn't the only video of myself.

Also can we talk about the like to dislike

ratio on that meme video?

I need someone to go dislike that right now, let's get to

100 dislikes, let's SMASH that dislike button!

So just in general on my channel I'm not gonna be

making, like, any specific kind of video

because I have a lot of interests.

Like, I like animation and I've

also been watching a lot of video essays

lately so I want to start doing something like that.

So I don't really know.

And I'm not going to be uploading

like, on a schedule, because I...

cant.

I don't have

the time,

ideas,

or motivation for that.

But yeah, hopefully there'll be some videos coming

coming soon.

Perseid meteor showers are visible every year between August 9 and 14, depending on the particular location of the stream.

It is one of the most spectacular and highly anticipated meteor showers of the year, and this year the shower will appear on a particularly clear night.

The Perseids occurs as Earth passes through the debris trail left by the Comet Swift-Tuttle, according to Space.com.

NASA reports that Comet Swift-Tuttle is the largest solar system object that repeatedly passes close to Earth, and it completes a full orbit every 133 years.

"The meteorites from the comet's trail appear to come from the constellation Perseus, which lends the shower its name," Space.com reports.

According to Dr Morgan Hollis of the Royal Astronomical Society, the shower will peak on the night between Sunday, August 12 and Monday, August 13.

 He said: "The best time to look will be on the night of August 12 when the sky is darkest, around midnight and in the early hours of the morning, at the peak of the shower.

Where & How to Watch The Meteor Shower.

According to Sky and Telescope, an astronomy magazine, viewers may be able to see around 60 meteors an hour during the peak and should be able to see some in the sky until the last week of August.

If you're in the Northern Hemisphere, you should be able to spot the Perseids rising in the northeastern sky.

"It's best to wait until 11 pm or later, when the constellation Perseus will be higher in the sky," according to Vox.

It may also take up to an hour for your eyes to fully adjust to the darkness to view the meteors, NASA reports.

Last year, there were reports that viewers may have a hard time seeing the meteor shower due to light from the moon, but this year the meteor shower falls on a night with a new moon, allowing for excellent viewing conditions, according to Space.

Find The Darkest Area Possible, Away From City Lights.

The shower is expected to be visible from across the country, but Space.com recommends viewers find the darkest place they can find to view the shower, to avoid light pollution from ruining the spectacle.

Traveling even a few miles away from bright, urban city centers can make a huge difference in the visibility of the Perseids shower.

"The impact doubles as you get 12 miles [19 kilometers] closer, from 62 miles to 50 miles [100 to 80 km], but it goes up by a factor of more than 5 as you near from 12 miles to 6 miles [10 km]," writer and natural navigator Tristan Gooley wrote in his book "The Lost Art of Reading Nature's Signs" in 2015.

For viewers in Idaho, the best place to watch the meteor shower will be from the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve, which became the nation's first gold-tier dark-sky reserve in December, 2017, according to Space.

Accuweather recommends viewers "Lay on your back and watch the whole sky, not just the radiant point, and avoid looking at your phone and other light sources," when viewing the meteor shower.

Space.com also recommends that users get to a dark destination early, as it takes approximately 30-60 minutes for your eyes to adjust to the dark.

Bring some bug spray, set up a comfortable chair or blanket, relax and wait for the celestial show.

However, if you would rather stay indoors during the shower's peak, the Virtual Telescope Project in Italy will be live streaming the 2018 Perseid meteor shower online.

Podcast: Comorbid Arthritis in Older Adults with Chronic Conditions | Humana - Duration: 5:03.

Hello, this is Dr. Adrienne McFadden, Medical Director in the office of the Chief Medical

Officer at Humana.

Today, I am speaking with Dr. Chad Helmick, Medical Epidemiologist in the Arthritis Program

of the National Center for Chronic Disease, Prevention and Health Promotion at the Centers

for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Helmick and I will be discussing important findings published in the July 2017 issue

of Preventing Chronic Disease, reporting the impact of comorbid arthritis on health related

quality of life in adults age 65 years or older.

Humana and CDC collaborated on this study.

Chad, thank you so much for joining me.

Before we discuss the study and the findings of the study, can you just speak a little

bit about the importance of arthritis and it's prevalence in older adults?

Sure, arthritis is a very common condition that a lot of clinicians tend to under estimate

its effect.

Most adults with arthritis are under age 65, actually, but the highest rates of arthritis

occur among older adults.

Nearly one in three older adults are living with arthritis.

Now, this is important because arthritis is related to poor health related quality of

life in all adults, especially older adults.

It's one of the most common causes of disability and it can really affect the management of

some of the other chronic conditions that patients may have.

I noticed you mentioned health related quality of life.

This term may not be as familiar in the clinical space as it is in the public health arena.

Can you explain what the term means and how it is measured?

Yes, sure.

With the health related quality of life, as we use it, is really a summary measure of

an individual or a group's perceived physical or mental health.

So, we use what we call the CDC Healthy Days Measure.

That's a four question survey that assesses an individual's perceived physical health

and mental health in the past 30 days when asked about activity limitations.

So, we look at what's happening over the past 30 days to develop that summary measure of

health related quality of life.

The healthy days measures, I love that.

It seems like a term that's universally understood by physicians and public health professionals

and I would actually even venture to say, the general public.

How was the study designed?

Was it designed specifically around this healthy days survey?

Well, we were interested in trying to find out about health related quality of life among

people with these different chronic conditions.

So, the Healthy Days Measure was a very convenient way to do that.

What we did in this is we worked at CDC with you at Humana to develop a random sample of

nearly 59,000 people who filled out that healthy days survey.

And these were Medicare Advantage members, so they're all 65 and older.

These results were linked to administrative medical claims and enrollment data.

And then we compared what we saw between people with and without arthritis, both overall and

then by looking at five common comorbidities or other chronic conditions and these were

coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,

diabetes and hypertension.

Well, I don't know if I've ever told you this, but I'm a former soccer player and I've had

surgery on both of my knees, so I'm pretty sure arthritis is in my future.

I'm literally sitting on the edge of my seat to hear about the results of this study.

Sure, so 44 percent of our respondents, say 65 and older, had a diagnosis of arthritis

and 82 percent of them reported at least one of the five common chronic conditions that

we were looking at.

So, in our results, we found the people with arthritis reported significantly more unhealthy

days measures than those without arthritis.

It went on and looked at those with the five chronic conditions and we found that if they

also had arthritis, they had worse healthy days measures as well.

So, from my perspective, I really love hearing about research that can be put to practice.

How do you think this information can help physicians and other clinicians in their practices?

I think it helps you to target on something that is probably important to the people that

you're seeing, to their patients.

One of the things that can help is to actually think about arthritis when you're dealing

with these other conditions.

And think about introducing proven but under-used non-drug interventions, which patients generally

prefer.

So, these can include things like engaging in regular activity, physical activity like

walking, biking and swimming, it really helps maintain and improve strength and flexibility

and endurance and it reduces disability and reduces joint pain.

You can also refer patients to proven self-management programs so they can gain confidence and skills

on managing arthritis and their other conditions.

You can also talk to them about eating healthier to lose weight, which can help, and helping

to deal with any underlying depression or anxiety which can affect all these diseases.
