Volvo Trucks - 'A massive journey to make' - Volvo Ocean Race - Duration: 2:24.Almost hit D-Day for Persico
for completion of boat no.8 – it's about to leave and it actually gets loaded
you can just see the truck out there
on a massive journey to make it to Lisbon, Portugal where we will finish all the painting and the fit out
it has been five months of some pretty serious toil here
getting to the end of the party at Persico Marine and standing under the team AkzoNobel boat, she's all packed and ready to go
a big journey to Lisbon
on the truck all the way
through the middle of Europe to Rotterdam where she will go on the ferry
and, hopefully, arrive in a weeks time
in Lisbon
it's 12 o'clock, time to leave
every load is new
in all the 26 years, every day is a new day
every transport is a new transport
different height, width, weight
you got to improvise every time
first how to load
how to get it there
all the special things
it's not normal
it's not going from A to B
to carry out a move like this there's an awful lot of planning that goes into it in advance
we are doing a move
of over-sized cargo across many countries
so in the process of doing that
you need to work with the hauliers
all the permits and permissions are in place
and some of those permits in some countries
take months to actually get in stated
and get signed off, so you need to
have the whole process planned out
work very closely with a lot of people
Volvo Ocean Race is the biggest logistics challenge
you can have on the road
music events or other sports events
but you know what if it was easy the Volvo Ocean Race wouldn't need GAC Pindar
this trip was planned for seven days
it took six days longer
but we did it
that's the main part
Volvo boat no.8 is also here

And the best PlayStation Vita Multiplayer game
is Soul Sacrifice: Delta
The ability to sacrifice a part of your body in exchange for power is the reason why this
game was a success.
Delta is an extended version of 2013's game for the PS Vita.

Face off with humongous beasts in twisted magical memories and use the power of your
'sacrificial body parts' to grant yourself an edge in battle.
It's third-person action RPG is similar to CAPCOM's Monster Hunter franchise.
But enough about that, the game's multiplayer is where Soul Sacrifice Delta shines.
Gather your friends locally or online to aid you in your phantom quests.
In your effort to quell evil, your teammates can die too.
It is your choice to take their body and power yourself up, or bring them back to life by
giving a portion of your body.

Alexandra Daddario On Her Bikini Scenes With Zac Efron In 'Baywatch' | TODAY - Duration: 4:20.>>> ALEXANDRIA DADDARIO KNOWS HOW TO GET PULSES RACING.
SHE HAD EVERYONE PUMPED UP WHEN SHE PLAYED LISA ON "TRUE
DETECTIVE" AND WHAT ABOUT HER ROLE AS BLAKE IN THE BLOCKBUSTER
"SAN ANDREAS." >> NOW SHE'S IN "BAYWATCH" WHO
CAUGHT THE EYE OF ZAC EFRON. TAKE A LOOK.
>> WHAT ARE YOU WEARING? WHERE ARE YOUR SLEEVES.
>> I KNOW WHERE IT IS. >> UNDER THE BOAT?
PLEASE DON'T DIE. >> DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD KISS?
I THINK WE SHOULD KISS. OTHERWISE, WE MAY NEVER KNOW
WHAT IT'S LIKE. >> MAYBE WE SHOULD TALK ABOUT IT
LATER. >> WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
>> WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? >> PLAYING HARD TO GET.
>> IT USUALLY WORKS. AND IT WAS IN THE SCRIPT SO YOU
HAD TO SAY IT. >> PLAYING OPPOSITE ZAC EFRON
COULDN'T HAVE BEEN TOO SHABBY. IT WAS MY FIRST TIME MEETING
HIM. I HAD A CHEMISTRY TEST BEFORE I
BOOKED THE ROLE SO I HAD TO DO A BUNCH OF SCENES WITH HIM ALL IN
MY BIKINI. >> AND WHAT WAS HE IN?
A SUIT? >> I THINK HE PROBABLY WAS
SHIRTLESS ACTUALLY. WE HAD GREAT CHEMISTRY.
HE'S A GREAT ACTOR AND HE'S REALLY FUNNY SO IT WAS A JOY TO
WORK WITH HIM. >> HAD YOU SEEN -- BECAUSE
"BAYWATCH" IS A GREAT -- EVERYONE KNOWS PAMELA ANDERSON
AND WHY AM I BLANKING. >> DAVID HASSLEHOFF.
>> AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHERS. >> DID YOU ASK IF YOU COULD GO
BACK AND WATCH? >> YES.
WE WENT BACK AND WATCHED. I THINK WE TOOK THIS MOVIE AND
WE TOOK WHAT EVERYONE LOVED ABOUT IT IN THE '90s AND SORT OF
PAID HOMAGE TO IT AND SORT OF TURNED IT UP.
>> ARE THERE ANY SCENES WHY
YOU'RE NOT ON THE BEACH AND ACTUALLY IN CLOTHES?
>> YES. BY THE TIME YOU GET TO A SCENE
WHERE YOU GET TO WEAR CLOTHES AND BE INSIDE IT WAS LIKE THE
BEST DAY AFTER AND IT WAS SUCH A CHANGE OF PACE.
>> ARE YOU EVER AT ALL INSECURE WHEN YOU HAVE TO BE OUT AND
ABOUT THAT WAY? >> SURE.
YEAH. I THINK LIKE ANYBODY ELSE, YOU
GET INSECURE OR YOU GET SELF CONSCIOUS AND THAT KIND OF
THING, BUT I'VE GOTTEN -- I'M IN MY 30s NOW SO I THINK YOU GET TO
A POINT WHERE YOU FEEL MORE CONFIDENCE AND YOU'RE, LIKE,
OKAY, I'M VERY PROUD OF WHERE I AM AND YOU STOP FEELING AS
NEGATIVE ABOUT YOURSELF. BUT YOU STILL FEEL SEL
CONSCIOUS. >> AND IF YOU'VE GOT SCENES
COMING UP AND YOU'RE STARVING, WHAT DO YOU DO?
>> THAT'S ONE OF THE DIFFICULT THINGS IS WHAT DO YOU DO?
>> BUT THE CREW IS CHOWING DOWN ON ALL THIS GREAT FOOD.
>> RIGHT. AND WE WERE ON THE BEACH SO THE
SNACKS, WOULD BE LIKE ICE CREAM. YOU EAT BUT YOU TRY TO EAT
HEALTHIER BUT IT'S NOT THE EASIEST THING.
>> AND WORKING WITH THE ROCK. >> I'M VERY LUCKY.
HE'S ONE OF THESE GUYS. HE'S EXACTLY WHAT HE PORTRAYS
HIMSELF TO BE TO EVERYONE. HE WANTS EVERYTHING THAT HE'S IN
TO BE AS GREAT AS POSSIBLE, SO YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU'RE GOING
TO GO WORK ON A FILM WITH HIM, IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT.
BECAUSE HE'S GOING TO PUT EVERYTHING INTO IT THAT HE CAN
AND EVERYBODY AROUND HIM IS GOING TO WORK AS HARD AS HE
WORKS OR ALMOST. >> IT TRICKLES DOWN FROM THE
TOP. >> EXACTLY.
SO I THINK THAT WAS ONE OF THE THINGS ABOUT "BAYWATCH" THAT
MADE ME WANT TO DO

How Your Brain Helps You Lie To Yourself - Duration: 4:10.Information wants to be free!
But if that free information is a calorie count for my favorite donut, then lock it
up! Lock it up!
You know what i mean?
We are living in the ultimate age of information … you're watching this video because you
have access to an awesome portal of collective knowledge called the internet.
And having more information can often help us make better choices.
Which is all well and good except for the fact that humans are not always information
seekers.
Sometimes we even avoid information that could help us!
For instance, you probably have an idea about how much money you've spent lately, but
you might avoid actually looking at your bank account so you don't see the exact amounts
you splurged on a new purse. The information is riiight there, but you just don't want
to know.
And not knowing might have consequences.
This psychological phenomenon is called "active information avoidance."
You're actively avoiding information when these three things happen: you know the information
exists, it could be costly to avoid, but you still go out of your way to ignore it.
A recent paper from Carnegie Mellon University found that people have a wide variety of strategies
to avoid information and they do it to protect themselves...And this seems like a no-brainer,
people avoid information that might be painful to receive.
We don't want to know how many calories are in that hot fudge sundae because we want
it and it looks amazing.
We don't want to know it's 1,000 calories because knowing that number might deter us
from having it.
Might.
Avoiding the calorie counts in a dessert happens, we all do it because we need to live a little
... but what are the consequences of avoiding something more serious… like medical issues?
Another study looked at people who were at risk for Huntington's Disease, a fatal brain
disorder, and found that a large fraction of people avoided getting tested.
Carnegie Mellon researchers called this: an optimism bubble.
Basically, people won't get tested because they want to live their lives without fear
or consequence; they don't want their bubble bursted.
This is why people don't get tested for cancer, why people don't follow the news
-- they want to live in a optimism bubble!
But… living there isn't living in reality -- think about sexually transmitted infections.
If i'm living in my optimism bubble, I could be infecting others.
And speaking of bubbles -- this extends to how we reinterpret information that counters
our beliefs.
For example, there's a growing body of scientific research that is widely available disproving
the link between vaccines and autism.
And yet, a bunch of unscientific websites linking the two are cited by people who already
believe vaccines cause autism. So even if the data is right there, it will be discounted
if it goes against what people want to believe.
Active Information Avoidance is a psychological protection strategy because we've spent
months or years building brain pathways and patterns of behavior around our worldview.
Changing those pathways takes energy and work -- it causes stress, and uncertainty!
Avoiding it is so much easier (though not necessarily better).
So what should we do about this?
How do we break out of being active information avoiders?
Well, according to the researchers at Carnegie Mellon, if you want to change someone's
mind make a personal relationship with them first!
If you form a meaningful relationship with a friend you could maybe remind them to get their prostate checked
for cancer, or breast cancer checks. You could remind them to keep tabs on their finances
Or, maybe not to eat that sundae.
If you know you're avoiding information -- maybe try and work a little hard to, well,
not.
For example, you might try and avoid information about why New York has the best bagels.
Water?
Location?
Tradition?
It's a debate.
I LOVE bagels.Thrillist just launched a brand new show Food/Groups.
My buddy Dave hits up a cast of food experts as they hunt down a dish that's authentically
tied to a different neighborhood, nationality, or lifestyle.
Check out his bagel adventure here I love Essa, that place.
Omg.
But let's say you're in an argument, and you want to convince your friend you're
right -- science has the best way to do that!
In this video over here.
What information do you definitely avoid?

Top 10 European Empires - Duration: 7:45.Top 10 European
Empires
10.
The Celtic Empire
The Celts were an ethnolinguistic group of tribal societies in the Iron Age and Medieval
Europe that spoke Celtic languages while having similar culture throughout western Europe.
Though predominant in the British Isles (United Kingdom and Ireland), their reach also extended
over what is now modern-day Portugal, Spain, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany and Italy.
The Celts first appeared in Central Europe around 1,200 B.C.; from there they moved westward.
Their expansion was aided by their weaponry and brutal battle techniques.
Classical writers such as Strabo and Dionysius described them as "wild beasts."
In Book XIV of Roman Antiquities, Dionysius described their fighting as, "… being
in large measure that of wild beasts and frenzied, was an erratic procedure, quite lacking in
military science.
Thus, at one moment they would raise their swords aloft and smite after the manner of
wild boars, throwing the whole weight of their bodies into the blow like hewers of wood or
men digging with mattocks, and again they would deliver crosswise blows aimed at no
target, as if they intended to cut to pieces the entire bodies of their adversaries, protective
armour and all."
The Celts also had a strong art culture and later, despite their hedonistic appearance,
adapted Christianity to replace their Paganism.
9.
The Viking Empire
The Vikings were Norse seafarers who, from the late 8th to middle 11th centuries, would
travel away from their homeland to trade, explore and sometimes raid areas of Europe,
Asia and the North Atlantic islands.
Although the Vikings did not conquer mainland Europe like the Celts did, they did travel
to the Middle East and Russia and even traded with China.
There is strong evidence that they even reached North America and had settlements in the modern
Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Along with their ability to expand, the Vikings were also known for their brutish warfare
and violence as motivated by their Norse religion.
One war tactic even consisted of deploying troops who had ingested hallucinogenic mushrooms
or massive amounts of alcohol.
8.
The Spanish Empire
The Spanish Empire began during the Age of Exploration in 1496 and would reach its peak
as the foremost global power under the House of Habsburg.
In the 16th century, Spain was exploring and colonizing half of North and South America,
parts of Africa and even some islands in the Pacific Ocean.
The Spaniards were an uncontested naval power until King Phillip II sent his Spanish Armada
to invade England in 1588; its crushing defeat by the English paved the way for English expansion
and colonialism.
7.
The Portuguese Empire
Although it started as a small and relatively insignificant European country, Portugal would
go on to have one of the largest and richest empires; its colonies including Brazil, coastal
regions of Africa and trading posts in Asia.
Known more as traders than war farers, the trade route from Portugal to India, founded
by Vasco da Gama in 1498, introduced spices and other exotic new foods to Europe.
In 1580, Philip II of Spain inherited the Portuguese crown, thereby beginning a 60-year
union between Portugal between the two countries.
6.
The French Colonial Empire
For nearly 1,000 years, France has had a long-standing rivalry with England.
Naturally this rivalry extended to their colonies as well, especially during the American Revolution.
Though the French did establish colonies in the Caribbean, India and North America, after
the sale of Louisiana (though named Louisiana, the territory was actually comprised of 15
modern-day U.S. states) to the U.S. in 1803 and the conquest of Algier in 1830, they concentrated
primarily on their colonies in northwestern Africa, Madagascar, French Guiana and select
areas in southeastern Asia.
By World War II, the French colonial empire, including France, had a population of 110
million.
5.
The Byzantine Empire
The Byzantine Empire was the continuation of the eastern half of the Roman Empire and
lasted between 330 and 1453, with a gap from 1204 to 1261.
Its capital was Constantinople, or modern-day Istanbul, Turkey.
For most of its existence, this empire was the most powerful economic, cultural and military
force in Europe.
It eventually fell to the Ottoman Turks.
4.
The Russian Empire
The Russian Empire, which existed from 1721 until it was overthrown by the Bolsheviks
in 1917, stretched over three continents and was only surpassed in size by the British
and Mongol empires.
At its peak, it was comprised of present-day Russia, Mongolia, Alaska and other territories
around the Eurasian Peninsula.
The expansion of the Russian Empire also allowed for the spread of Eastern Orthodox Christianity.
In this article it is ranked over the French Empire because it was the Russians who thwarted
Napoleon's plans to take over and control all of Europe.
3.
The Third Reich
This empire, although controversial and hated, was responsible for World War II and is still
fresh in our minds.
Known as Nazi Germany, or the Third Reich, and ruled by Adolph Hitler, it only lasted
from 1933 to 1945.
It was a fascist totalitarian state that controlled almost all aspects of life.
Particularly keen on promoting racism and especially anti-Semitism, Hitler and the Nazis
believed Aryans to be the master race.
Jews and others deemed not up to Hitler's expectations and standards were persecuted
and/or murdered.
Nazi Germany occupied most of central Europe, with much of the rest being under the control
of their allied "puppet states."
The Nazis eventually lost the war, and their empire was lost along with it.
2.
The Holy Roman Empire
The Holy Roman Empire lasted from the Middle Ages until its dissolution in 1806.
It was multi-ethnic and was comprised of the territories of Germany, Italy, Bohemia and
Burgundy.
The emperor was traditionally elected and then crowned by the Pope.
Throughout its early history, Catholicism was the main religion in its territories,
but with the Reformation, new Protestant churches, such as Lutheranism an Calvinism, were introduced.
After its defeat by Napoleon at the Battle of Austerlitz, it was dissolved.
1.
The British Empire
The British Empire was "the empire on which the sun never sets."
It had colonies in North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, southern Asia, Australia,
New Zealand and even Antarctica.
At its height, it covered more than 33,700,000 km2 (13,012,000 sq. mi), almost a quarter
of the Earth's total land area.
The British had rivalries with the French, the Irish and the Dutch.
After World War II, Britain began a policy of decolonization, and the end of the Empire
as such came in 1997, when Hong Kong was returned
to China.

Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 134 - Duration: 6:07.WARNING: This video may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.
Hello tankers!
In today's episode,
we'll be updating you on our current development news,
and telling you more about the matchmaking system.
We'll also be sharing with you some Tanki life hacks.
We get a lot of questions about the mobile version of Tanki Online,
and requests to talk about it in more detail.
Actually, there isn't much to talk about yet.
We've decided on the controls, but these can still be changed during testing.
As we said a few episodes ago,
there are two things we need to do before we launch the mobile version.
We need to switch the game to HTML5, and implement the new matchmaking system.
We've already made a lot of progress in the development of HTML5.
The game's lobby, which includes the game chat,
battle list, garage, friends list and more, is almost ready.
Now, we need to test it, find any potential problems,
and solve them, and that part of the work will be done.
But of course, everyone's favorite thing about Tanki, is the battles.
Right now, it's possible to enter a battle and drive a tank.
The physics are working well, and so are the visuals.
So you might be asking, "What are you waiting for? Just release it!" But no.
First we need to re-create the logic of all the turrets and team battle modes
TDM, Flags and Points.
These are two huge pieces of work.
After that, we'll be doing smaller things such as changing equipment,
spectator mode, nickname indicator, health bar, supplies icons and lots of other things.
The next topic is the matchmaking system.
This week we ran the first tests for the system.
We noted the amount of time it takes to find a battle
and very often, it's literally JUST seconds.
On the live stream that we had on the 12th of May,
Semyon Strizhak talked in detail about the Matchmaking system.
Let's go into more detail about one particular point.
Once we've implemented the system, all random team battles will be 10 versus 10.
This means we'll need to modify a few maps.
For example, here is the new version of Highland.
It will include two new platforms for support tanks.
And here is how the Silence map will be changed.
As you can see, it's wider, and the red team's base will no longer be a corridor.
The original versions of Silence, Highland and Polygon,
will remain in the game, and will be available in Pro-battles.
We might give the option
to use the NEW versions of these maps in Pro battles too,
but we haven't decided yet.
The new bonus and discount cards that we told you about last week,
are now in the game.
As promised, there are now 8 cards, including the Double Crystal Card,
and they will be handed out to players in the same way as a DCC.
Supplies and paint cards will only offer discounts.
Gold boxes, Premium, and crystals cards
can offer either a discount that makes a bundle cheaper,
or a bonus that gives you more of the item, but for the same price.
All cards have a different discount.
For example, the discount card for paints, cuts the price by 50%!
And the Double crystal card, is still double.
This weekend will be full of great deals in the Shop.
This Saturday and Sunday,
product and supplies kits will have 30 to 40 percent discounts.
More importantly, all throughout Saturday,
we'll have double battle funds in non-pro battles, for 24 hours.
Enjoy!
We haven't had a lifehack in a while.
Here are a couple of interesting ones.
Watch and listen carefully.
You might learn something new.
The first life hack is a great tip for when you're creating a battle.
When you're choosing the map,
type in the first letter of the map you want to choose,
to get a list of all the maps starting with that letter.
If it doesn't work, change the language on your keyboard.
Not many players know this next life hack.
You can actually copy any nickname with a single click.
All you need to do, is hold the Control key on your keyboard,
and click on the nickname.
This will allow you to copy any nickname without making any mistakes.
Then just press Control + V on your keyboard to paste the nickname wherever you want.
Last week, instead of making a video, you had to create a funny picture
using a screenshot from last week's episode of the V-LOG.
Let's see the best entry of the contest.
The winner has already received a prize of 50 thousand crystals.
There were also a number of other entries that we liked,
so their authors get 20 thousand crystals each.
For next week, you have to shoot a video as usual.
The theme is "Moon parkour", BUT NOT on Moon Silence.
Use the standard Green paint.
That's it for today.
Make sure you find the final code,
and don't miss the next episode, as we'll be announcing the names of our winners,
and the plan for the Tanki birthday celebrations.
See ya!
Last week you had to guess
how many Twins shots would be visible in the game at the same time.
The correct answer is 4.
Here are our winners, and here's the next question.
