Working the last single crochet, and you will continue around to the beginning
I
Am going to show what I did here I?
forgot that I was making increases and just kept on working and
Didn't work the increases in my corners here
So I need to rip everything out and go back over here and work my increased stitches
This is something that happens to me from time to time when I get so involved in my work
I forget that I'm increasing and I just keep going on and don't work my increase to just get around the beginning and
Then sometimes I'll even continue around and then realize that I don't have all the stitches that I need to complete
the next round
How many of you get so involved with your work you forget?
What stitches you're doing and how many rounds have you had to rip out to correct your error I?
am back around to the beginning and
I'm going to double check just to make sure I have only increases
And it does look like I have them complete
I also recommend
Counting your chain three loops from time to time to make sure that you have the exact amount to make sure there's six on round
eleven
One two three four five six from time to time
I will miss a loop and then I'll get all the way down to the point and realize I missed a loop
Counting your chain three loops is something. I recommend you do from time to time
Just to make sure you have an accurate count so you don't have to rip out
I'm at the end of round 11 joining with the first
Stitch thread over pull through and we will be slip stitching into the chain to space
We are set up now for round twelve
Work a chain one

We are back around to the beginning of around twelve joining
With the very first stitch thread over pull through pull through the loop on the hook
working a slip stitch over into the chain two space
This is what we've completed through round twelve
I will also mention again that it does pull up and pucker a little bit
And I don't know if you can you'll be able to see right here this part
Here is puckering a little bit, and that's normal with doilies once you get them complete you will block them
Or even just wet them and let them air dry and then you can finger press them into shape and they will hold their shape
So there's different ways that you can stretch the thread out. It's forgiving and flexible and will stretch out and lay flat
Around 13 we will start with a chain one
work two double crochet chain
Two two double crochet
Work a chain three
We will be working five double crochet around the chain three and I'm working right around the chain working five double crochet, that's one two

Have completed the doily
I
Also want to point out that you can work the doily with different sized crochet hooks
This one was made with a size 3 steel crochet hook
and you can see the difference in size here the doily in the tutorial was a size 5
This one is a size 3 and you can see the difference in size when we aligned them up here at the center
So changing the size of the hook does make quite a bit of difference in some cases
Thank you so much for watching
I am including two more lace style tutorials the annotation will take you to each
