Hey, what's up guys so today I'm gonna be doing a live video for you guys on Amazon FBA product research
How you can go about doing product research so if you are new to this channel
I do have a few other videos that I show you how to do a lot of product research for Amazon FBA
But this is gonna be an updated one for jungle scout so without further ado
Let's get started on today's video for your life
product research using the product research tool jungle scout
So as many of you know you have the jungle scalp product database here and beast on which market
Please you want to sell on you can go ahead and change that here
So you have the US Canada Germany so on and so forth?
And underneath that you have the categories so I picked a few categories that I personally enjoy doing which is camera for cell phones accessories
Electronics with electronics you might you know want to stay away from it especially if you're a beginner however
You know if you know you do want to make a little bit more profit margin for your items
Just you know be be would be a little bit careful with it
So you know if you are selling a product that does have batteries, or you know whatever the case may be you might require
What's called an SDS which is the safety data sheet or an exemption sheet?
So make sure to get that from yourself partake and usually because for you
And I it's really easy to get but you know again some products that you do find in this category you can make upwards of
You know 60 70 percent net profit margin and in this video
I'm gonna show you guys how easy it is to make an extra twenty thirty thousand forty thousand you know profit per month
using Amazon FBA
So let's let's get started you know with the filters for jungle Scout so
The price filter for jungle Scouts, you know usually you want it to be about fifteen dollars under fifty dollars
So I've just said you know a number just in between it again some people might say fourteen eighty
But you know I'm comfortable with taking a look at a few
you know products within this range of fifteen eighty two forty eight ninety seven the
Net amount you can just leave it blank same with the rack the estimated sales
That's just me at 300 units a month which works out about 10 units per day. I think that's a good
You know good kind of number to go based your number off of and now basically
you know if you order a
You know a quantity of
500 units for a product that means that you'll be able to sell out within a month and a half
So I think that's a really good turnover for you to have for your Amazon FBA while doing product research
using jungle scout
The next item you have the estimated revenue so again
you wanna make sure that the product that you're doing does have demand and
Five thousand is a good number to go off of so five thousand dollars minimum
And the maximum you can just let it be reviews try not to go anything over 400
You know a lot of people you'll see on other channels say key between 100 to 200 a lot of other Amazon FBA gurus
But you know if you can
optimize your
Product listing you can still compete with people will have 400 reviews no problem
Especially if you can start getting those reviews in right after bad by exchanging reviews
Are you know joining if you website that you can purchase reviews from and other facebook groups are using Amazon FBA
We know with as little as twenty. You know ten to 20 reviews for a new product
You can easily compete with people with 400 reviews especially if you have an optimized
Product listing so rating let's leave it the way it is wait try to not go anything
over and beyond one and a half pounds
it does tend to get really expensive and the whole goal with Amazon FPS for us to be able to order the products and
Get it shipped to Amazon FBA
Warehouse within a week to two weeks max so a number of sellers if you you know want a product
That's not to saturate you can go and put that here
But I usually don't same with the distinct with quality so once you're done. Go ahead and click search
Alright, so you know these are the most popular products that are showing up here
So obviously you know you can tell that these first few products kind of you know have
Really inflated numbers and reason it's Valentine's Day
And you know a lot of people are buying it for their loved ones
So you know you always want any for that whatever product that you're ordering you check it on Google Trends
And I'm gonna show you guys today how to go about doing
product research on Amazon FBA
The proper way that you know you don't see a lot of people showing you so I'm gonna show you exactly what tools to use
And when you want to use it, and how they apply in you finding profitable products to sell on Amazon FBA
so
This product looks really good. Let's take a look at it as you can see here
this product weighs half a pound, it's
being sold for
$21.99 the fees are 629 and you're netting
1570 so this one's under selling seventy thousand dollars a month
estimated revenue or thirty-two hundred units with only
Ninety five reviews which is amazing?
Alright guys, so now let's check out the listing here are for this specific seller
That's doing
70,000 a month selling just this one product so he has
Ninety-five reviews the first thing that you want to check for is the review reading so as you can see a majority of the reviews
Over 80% are five-star which is a very good sign means that this product is very high quality
and if you are going to source a similar product make sure that
you know and you're getting it from a similar supplier selling the same product because the last thing that you guys want experience with an
electronical
Item is
Getting those returns coming in so that's the last thing you want experience make sure that the product that you're selling
Does tend to have high review reading for it the next thing is the price point 22 dollars which is amazing?
It's over the 20 over the fifteen dollar minimum
Price point that you want to be at and the reason that I like to be organized so you have enough profit margin per unit
So you can spend on advertising?
You know what if it's PPC Facebook Ads or?
External charter to be bring in as well as you know be able to do some giveaways and not have it affect your
profits a whole bunch
So I hope that makes sense so for example if you're silent seeing that the seller is selling
20 units a day or left school in this case the seller is selling
3,000 units a month so we want to go ahead and kind of divide that so that works out to be about a hundred
units a day
so you want to be able to give away or
somehow
Match the sales porosity of the top sellers on the first page so for example if you wanted to go and compete with this guy
organically you would either have to do PPC and achieve selling 100 us a day or a
combination of PPC and and outside traffic again
Combined with cable waste so you cannot achieve that 100 units and once
You're on the first page
You can drop the PPC and advertising if you want altogether because then you're gonna start getting that organic sales
And that's when you start making a ton of money
So you can easily make thirty thousand profit a month you know forty thousand profit a month once you're on the first page
Especially with the margins that you have for this product, so you know again
Let's go over the product listing and I'll tell you guys what you kind of want to
Pay attention to as you can see the product
Photography here that we have the images it's showing exactly how the product is to be used it shows again
She is working on her laptop this
Cell phone is right next to the charge of being charged
it shows the different mobile devices that can be used on and
As what comes you know in the packaging and so on so forth?
So the bullet points again shows the benefits of the product
How you know if what it's compatible with what comes with it and the description box?
again
This other has their images up here as well as a product description that shows all the benefits
And why you want to buy and purchase this product so now guys I want to show you a really cool trick
You know if you are trying to track this part
And you found it that it is a viable and good product for you to be selling on amazon FBA
So the best way to do it just so you can compare your numbers with jungle Scout
This is very important, so just because that jungle Scout shows that the seller is selling seventy thousand
You don't want to go off of the estimated revenue remember that this is estimated revenue
It is not true value of the seals that each other is doing so you want to always be able to track the products yourself
Manually using the i99 and the way that you do that is you go and add the quantity to the max
So in this case you want to go to cart
Change the quantity from to 999
It shows you the inventory that the seller has available which in this case is eight hundred and ten units
so two more on the exact same time you want to go and do the same process all over again so at
$9.99 and if you see it goes from eight hundred and ten to seven hundred or
Seven hundred and ten then you know that the monthly
Estimated unit seals that he's doing three thousand
Which works out to about one hundred units a day is accurate and that's what you want to check for here
That way before you even order your product you have a very good idea of how much you can expect yourself
with similar reviews
Selling the same product, which is very important now. I want to go over what happens if the seller has actually put a
restriction on how many units you can purchase and
Most others who know what they're doing have done this and it's very important that you you as well
So if you can only purchase for example ten units at a time, and you can't find your competitors
inventory what you want to do is go back to the product page and
I use a tool which is an extension that attaches to your Chrome, and it's called Kiba

Alright guys, so as you can see this is the sales rank for this other a
Higher sales rank means that the product has not been selling well
and here is the price point that you have I know this can be a
Little bit tricky and confusing for you to use at first
But once you start using it you'll be able to you know pick up signs right off the bat
So the sales rank is increasing here. This is initially when the seller introduced this product to either
south-south account
here
it's decreasing so this is when the seller actually starting to do a ton of volume and as you can see he's
constantly at the 3,000 rank
1900 so he's been something fairly consistent
This is an amazing series running to have so a lower sales rank is a very good signing
Is that the seller is actually selling the quantity that jungle Scout says it is and the seller is making a ton of money?
With this product again if you want to find out exactly what that number is and you don't compare it with competitors

Ever since you sold it and with this you can kind of be able to tell if your product is becoming saturated
If your seller is doing as well as what your product research tool on Amazon FBA
Tells you that is so make sure that you check it out again
You can turn off the other things if you want to only take a look at the sales rank
But you can also see what the product is selling when its new so you can kind of play around with this
But it's all very straightforward
So make sure that you skip off
and
I'll take you guys one step further in this case if we actually
Decided to go ahead with this product, so what you want to do is wanna
See what's the broadest keyword that relates to your product head on to Alibaba?
And
Look for a similar part, so look at how quickly we found this guy's this is the exact same price, so it's selling between 185
to 250 for a piece with a minimum order of
10 pieces so let's head on to our
Amazon FBA calculator now just to see what's our profit margin for this specific product
So we want to go and copy
the ACE in here
Paste the East in here and what Amazon FBA calculator does is it picks up all the information?
from your competitors listing so you have the product that I mentioned you have the unit weight and
You have a chart here that you can plug in your numbers so we know that through
Alibaba this product maximum cost 254 so let's just be very conservative and use that number and
Let's say that it's going to cost us another
Just because it's a really lightweight product. Let's say it's gonna cost us another two dollars, which again will be in conservative
It's probably going to cost less, and we're selling this product for
$19.99
$21.99
So guys take a look at this you have 50% net profit margin
this seller is doing an estimated sales revenue of
$70,000 so with
$70,000 at 50% net profit margin and again remember these are
Conservative numbers if we actually order a bigger quantity and go off of 185 here
Your number is going to go from 50 to 54 percent so an additional 4% so with
$70,000 revenue you're making
$35,000 net profit with this product again once you're on page 1 you have no additional cost that you need to in court because
People will organically be purchasing your part, and that's exactly what you want happening so
For those of you who are watching this video make sure to track this product. It's actually a very good
especially with the reviews that this other has 95 reviews is absolutely amazing so

Negotiating with your supplier how the sample sent out your ad is check out the product
Make sure everything checks out and do it test order of 100 units
200 units once you start seeing it meek you know seems in the first initial few days
Start your next order now
You're more comfortable with boarding an additional 500 units because you know that you're making a ton of profit margin per unit
so let's close this and go to
Back to our jungle Scout product research tool and
See if we can find one or two really good products to do let's take a look at this one guys

200 reviews again not too bad you can compete with this guy very easy with this
Competitor even with 10 20 reviews as long as you have a good product listing his images
Don't look that bad
So it shows how the part is being used so guys
Make sure that has a minimum if you are going to compete with these
Competitors that your product listing looks as good as theirs if not better so again the next thing we want to look at for is
The reviews as you can see 80 percent or over 4 stars, which gives us a good
Indicator that this is a good quality product
so if you are going to trace it through, Alibaba make sure that you find a similar product from this apart and
let's
Again, let's check out our
friendly tool here Kiba
Ever since the seller introduced it in November
he kind of
Had a sales rank of 900 which is not bad. He brought it all the way down 280 which is amazing
I went all the way back and again
He's his price has been fairly flat. Which is a good sign
You don't want to kind of see big spikes up and down because that means that there is a little bit
competition or other problems with a product
So you see it be a start decreasing over time which is a very good sign?
so if you see the DSR is
Increasing and the sellers not being able to sell this is something that you want to stay away from
So again the first thing you guys want to do is go to the quantity
put it at max unit of
999 if you can't track it this other has a restriction take a look at key bar if you see a decreasing
BSR it means that the seller is providing very good
sales day over the end
This is how you can see so abs are of sales rank of 180 is a very good sign for this supplier
and you're looking at it over a three month period
So if you wanted to again look at it in a longer range frame
you can just go up here and change it weekly monthly or all which is 154 days and
Again, let's take a look at this product as well since
Some of you guys wanted know exactly how to go from beginning from 0 all the way to a hundred
when you're doing Amazon FBA
Product research are using jungle Scouts, so let's search for Bluetooth FM transmitter here
And see if we can find a similar
product
This kind of looks similar
As you can see we kind of gauging a level of interest for this product
And how much the price point is for each supplier, so you can see 8 to 10?
Six to ten nine to ten, so let's say that the product cost nine bucks, and he's selling it for $26.99
So again we're gonna go to our Amazon FBA calculator
Let's copy a cent former competitor pasted here
Amazon pulls up the product dear description and
All the information for us to be able to accurately measure our profit margin
So we're selling it for $26.99
our purchase price is
$10 and
the weight of the product is
0.6 times, so let's see it costs us another
$3 a unit so as you can see you guys your profit margin for this specific product is
25% which is a lot more than the previous product that we found however
Let's take a look at the estimated revenue that the sellers do one hundred and sixty one thousand dollars
so one hundred sixty one thousand dollars a
25% net profit margin
Works out to being very close to the previous listing so make sure that you check out the revenue as well as your profit margin
Again this depends on how much investment you have for Amazon FBA, so you know a good
A good thing that you can do is start with a smaller product especially if you're on a budget
once you start growing your
you know growing your
investment into more and more profit and you can start reading listing some of that product profit into new products such as this one and
That's exactly how you guys can make an additional 30,000 , 40,000 , 50,000 profit
end of the month using Amazon FBA so it's very important that you guys always track that and
another
Very cool trick that I wanted to show you guys is a website that I use
for my parks which is 1688 com so what you guys can do here is go to Google and
go English to
Chinese
Let's copy the Bluetooth FM transmitter
So once you translate it
The Bluetooth FM transmitter into Chinese. Let's go back onto 1688 and
Search for it
And
The reason that I always do this guys is the people the sellers on Alibaba know that their
Customers are mostly people outside China, so whether you're in u.s.
In Europe or whatever the case may be so you haven't added margin that you pay for a product
But 1688 is a website similar to Alibaba
But it's for locals in China so they tend to get a lot better discount for their part
So let's for example take a look at this product here as you can see 30 you want
so if we go 30 you want to USD as
You can see the cost for this product is 473
So you're paying $10 a unit for this product when the actual true
Cost is 473 this gives you a levy that you can actually
be able to
negotiate with your supplier so anything you get between 473 and
$10 here is in your pocket so again very important that you guys check out 1688 calm
Let me show you how big of a difference it is if you guys were able to get this for
$5 so your profit margin goes from 25 percent to 44 percent now imagine that you were this seller and
You were making a hundred sixty one thousand dollars revenue at 44 percent
Net profit margin that means that you're making over seventy thousand profit a month off of one part
Which translates to close to a million dollars, so it's about eight hundred thousand profit a year just off of one part
So this is how powerful Amazon FBA is?
with the proper product research tools
And you know that's why you always want to use
You know product research tools like jungle Scott and bar at launch and properly track the products so make sure that whatever it is
You're investing your money in two turns
By putting back your ROI with you know at least 30 40 percent and updates very important that you guys find
Really profitable products especially if you're new to Amazon FBA
so again
This is a very good fine guys as you saw even though the product cost that we saw on Alibaba being at ten dollars
We found around 1688 for half of that amount which increased our net profit margin from 25 percent to 44 percent

amazing amazing price point that you want to be at at the same time so you can maximize your
Profits are selling that product, so let's close this and see if we can find one more product for today

$37,000 revenue reviews are positive
Product description is good the bullet points are good the pictures again resemble the product being used
Everything checks out again, so you guys want to be able to follow the same method that I showed you
Track it using I 99 to confirm the numbers if the seller has a restriction you have kiba
Again, you will see that price point is at thirty nine ninety nine to thirty four ninety nine
So you kind of want to average it out if you are selling here
again, this is what I told you guys that you want to kind of keep an eye on so if you had a be a
sales ranking at
5900 going down to eight hundred and then increasing again, and it's been you know fairly flat at five thousand
You kind of want to pay attention to this because you might either have too much competition or the seller is not able to run
consistently selling this product, so you want to dig a little bit deeper into this product in this situation and
Always always always guys if you can bundle a product Amazon already gives you a very good idea
What kind of other products the people who bought this product, but so you have an option to differentiate yourself, which is?
Extremely important when you're doing Amazon FBA product research because once you bundle your product your product is
completely
differentiated from your competitors and the chances of you making more money is a lot higher because people see your product as a
better product all together so
Very important you guys trying to you know bundle your product with what you think will increase your sales
end of the day very important guys so
Again make sure that you track this as well guys so what you can
Do is actually add these products that we found today to your product tracker, and you can actually?
track which products are
Selling well, and I'm gonna show you exactly what I mean, so if you guys take a look at this example here
Which is a euro go back back? You will see that the inventory hat is at 196 and
the estimated units all is eat per day, so John will stop does provide this for you and
Basically what you're doing when you're tracking and using the i99 is something very similar
So you a be able to track the inventory day over day for at?
minimum five to seven days so when you are talking to your supplier Bogdan you already know what price point you want to be at
how many units you can expect yourself you know on your first day and
Hopefully you have the proper market to be able to run as initially until you're on that first page and getting sales organically so guys
Make sure to apply all this stuff that I show you in this video, and if you do there is
Absolutely no doubt in my mind that you will be profitable selling on Amazon FBA
