Bruce Wayne Meets Aquaman | Justice League (2017) Movie Clip - Duration: 5:01.

I'm asking for your help.

I believe there is a stranger who comes to this village from the sea.

He comes in the winter when the people are hungry and brings fish.

He comes on the king tide.

That was last night.

Icebergs in the harbor, four months since the last ship got through.

Well, this stranger doesn't come by ship.

There are enemies coming from far away.

I need warriors.

I'm building an alliance to defend ourselves.

Look, I'll give you $25,000 to talk to this man right now.

Outside.

Tell me what those three boxes are and I'll make it $30,000.

You should get out.

Can you at least point me to Atlantis?

Arthur Curry.

Also known as Protector of the Oceans.

The Aquaman.

I hear you can talk to fish.

So let me get this straight.

You do it dressed like a bat? Like an actual bat?

It's worked for 20 years in Gotham.

Oh, that shithole.

When the fight comes, we'll need you.

- Don't count on it, Batman. - Why not?

'Cause I don't like you coming here,

digging into my business and getting into my life.

People from Atlantis tell me, "Do this."

Now you say, "Do that."

- I wanna be left alone. - Is that why you help

these people out here in the middle of nowhere?

'Cause you can just leave?

I help them 'cause no one else does.

If you want to protect them, you need to work with me.

"Strong man is strongest alone."

You ever heard that?

That's not a saying.

That's the opposite of what the saying is.

Yeah.

Doesn't mean I'm wrong.

You ever hear of Superman?

He died fighting next to me.

My point exactly.

What's in the three boxes?

It's ancient history.

What is it?

Mankind's melting the polar ice caps,

destroying the ecosystem. They got it coming?

Hey, I don't mind if the oceans rise.

How about if they boil?

Dressed like a bat.

You're out of your mind, Bruce Wayne.

Doesn't mean I'm wrong.

So you say you have no way of reconnecting with this Aquaman?

Oh, I put a tracking device in his coat, but he left without it.

May, in fact, not have been his coat.

Those squares from Luthor's notes.

I think they must be containers of some kind.

Of what?

I don't know. Money. Power.

Something worth starting a war over.

Well, we've had luck with one person on the team list.

Barry Allen of Central City.

He's completely off the grid.

Squatting, I think. Moves suddenly and often.

Disappearing act.

But he does visit his father.

In prison for murdering his mother.

Jesus.

Young Barry always protested his father's innocence.

But he was nine and nobody listened to him.

We have somebody at the prison?

Oh, yeah. We'll find the address.

What about, uh, Diana?

Well, you have her number.

What, you could've called her.

Oh! Perhaps I should fly to Paris with a handwritten note.

"Will you be Bruce's teammate? Check yes or no."

I'm only interested in her skill set.

- I'm sure you are. - Can we?

Ah, well, facial recognition's a bit dodgy on this one.

But they've got a partial match.

A Victor Stone.

Genius IQ, football scholarship to GCU, and deceased.

Figures.

Fairy tales and ghost stories.

One misses the days when one's biggest concerns were exploding wind-up penguins.

The simple life.

I don't recognize this world.

I don't have to recognize it.

I just have to save it.

Texas School Just Made Staggering Change After Florida Shooting That Has People Furious - Duration: 5:32.

Texas School Just Made Staggering Change After Florida Shooting That Has People Furious.

As yet another horrific school shooting took the lives of 17 innocent people in Parkland,

Florida there are many self-protection and Second Amendment advocates that believe the

best offense is a good defense.

Simply put, the best way to defend our children in their schools is to do away with so-called

"gun free zones" and place concealed firearms in the hands of highly trained teachers in

an effort to give students and teachers.

Many believe this is the best opportunity that our children and loved ones will have

should madmen choose to strike again.

As a result, one West Texas school district has put that theory to test and the results

are exactly as expected much to the chagrin of gun control advocates and leftist looneys

everywhere –

According to local news affiliate NewsChannel10.com –

Claude Independent School District has several staff members that carry concealed weapons

on school grounds.

A sign in front of Claude ISD campuses shows that the district has multiple staff members

who carry concealed weapons.

Parents who have children at the school say they feel very safe and comfortable knowing

their staff are armed and ready to protect them if they have to.

"It makes me feel really, really safe that we have staff on hand if anything happened,"

said mother of a Claude ISD student Sarah Hughes.

"It brings me peace of mind."

Since at least 2016, the district has had staff members who carry concealed weapons.

In case of an active shooter, Claude ISD Superintendent Brock Cartwright, says they feel they can

keep the school safe.

"Mainly if we can locate the person and try to keep us safe at the same time," said

Cartwright.

"When the DPS and officials get here, we back off."

Staff members who carry are required to practice at a shooting range once a month.

They also train with the Armstrong County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Public

Safety.

Parents say they feel very safe sending their kids to school with this type of preparedness.

"I don't know who carries, but I do know that if they've taken that dedication, they're

going to do everything in their power to keep our kids safe, even if they're in harm's

way," said Hughes.

"So what can you ask for more than that?"

Students say they feel safer on campus knowing their staff is armed, and despite the tragedy

in Florida, they have no nerves coming to school.

Democrats historically have called for more gun control and definitely don't want teachers

to have them because that would solve the school shooting problem.

What would Dems campaign on & screech about then?

The CDC reports that in the last ten or so years some 57,000 school-aged children have

chosen to commit suicide.

Counted among those numbers are murder suicides also in many cases referred to as mass shootings.

We do not have a shooting problem in this country.

What we do have is a significant problem with an increasing number of young people that

are choosing death over life, and occasionally deciding to choose death for others on their

way out of this life.

Many believe, myself included, that we do not have a shooting problem, what America

has is a broken people problem.

One of many "enemies" the destruction of the family unit and the complete eradication

of God from homes, schools, etc. is an even greater one.

Which means until we address the problem of broken people, mass murder and school shootings

are going to continue, and as society continues to break down, they will happen with increasing

frequency.

However, if you plan to commit mass murder in a school, Claude Independent School District

in West Texas would be a school to avoid.

More from KFDA-TV

Outside of Claude's school buildings is a newly placed sign that reads in big red

print: "ATTENTION: PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE STAFF AT CLAUDE ISD IS ARMED AND MAY USE

WHATEVER FORCE NECESSARY TO PROTECT OUR STUDENTS."

The installation of the new sign comes after the school board decided to allow concealed

carry on campus.

Superintendent Jeff Byrd says the safety of the children is the reason why the school

decided to put up the sign and allow campus carry for the staff.

"Any employee at Claude ISD, any teacher, I feel firmly they would give their life to

save a child.

Our job is to make sure the kids are safe, that they are comfortable and secure," Byrd

said.

Byrd says the sign is not meant to be a threat but to be proactive, and he compares it to

'Beware of Dog' and home security signs.

"Statistics will show that most of the shootings that have occurred in public school have been

somewhat a copycat situation," Byrd said.

"The goal of the perpetrators is to out-do the last shooting and statistics have shown

people with warning signs are being proactive and preventative, the only reason the sign

is there is to prevent somebody from coming in."

The town of Claude does not have a traditional city police department, so school officials

want to provide a safe environment for its students.

School and town officials do however work closely with the Armstrong County Sheriff's

Department and state troopers and have established security plans for the school.

"If there were a perpetrator that entered our building we would be able to hold of the

building until the professionals got here," Byrd said.

Claude ISD has security cameras throughout the school buildings and a lock-door system

for the elementary school.

School officials are working on installing a lock code door for the high school and expect

it to be in place soon.

5 BRILLIANT Mind Hacks That Will CHANGE Your Life - Duration: 4:31.

Do you feel like you can never finish anything on your to-do list and are constantly in a

race against time?

Whether in school, work, or life, the list of things we need to get done always seems

to be never-ending, and almost impossible with the tiny amount of time we have.

Unfortunately, the 21st-century 'forces' us to live a fast-paced life where time has

become an increasingly scarce resource.

But don't worry.

Here are some easy and scientifically-backed tips to help you boost your productivity and

maximize your time.

One, always start with a plan Planning is an extremely important element

of success, and that's something every expert in productivity can confirm.

Without the discipline of a carefully designed plan, productivity tends to drop drastically.

Every management, leadership, or personal development training highlights the benefits

of planning.

Planning is a powerful tool that will help you understand exactly what you need to do

and prioritize your goals without feeling stressed.

When you begin a new project, planning is what gives your work direction.

You can use planning apps like To-Doist and Evernote, or a good old-fashioned planner.

Make sure to one, set your primary goal, two, break it down into milestones, and three,

set clear deadlines for every milestone.

Two, give yourself ten mindful minutes each day

In the chaos of tight deadlines and long office hours, we often forget to live in the present

and enjoy ourselves.

We get so stressed that it often results in a severe drop in productivity.

Fortunately, a recent study published in Frontiers in Psychology revealed that mindfulness could

reduce stress, improve well-being, and even boost productivity.

Mindfulness is a practice and mental state we consciously choose to live in; to observe

our thoughts and emotions, and to be in contact with our body.

Simple actions such as walking barefoot on the beach, dancing, exercising, breathing,

and basically any activity that keeps us anchored in the present moment counts as mindfulness.

It's all about being present and fully aware of what you're doing at a given moment;

to let go of judgments and accept each thought, emotion, and sensation as part of the "here

and now."

As Andy Puddicombe – founder of Headspace – said in his famous TED Talk, "all it

takes is ten mindful minutes."

Three, avoid online multitasking Have you ever opened a work e-mail only to

find yourself distracted by a Facebook notification which takes you to a video or two, then a

blog post...then before you know it, two hours have passed?

In broad lines, online multitasking refers to our tendency to jump from one site to another,

until our focus is completely ruined, and productivity goes down the drain.

According to a 2016 study, online multitasking is among the biggest productivity killers.

Just as in the case of "normal" multitasking, online multitasking can be kept in check by

not letting small tasks interrupt big ones.

You can use apps like ColdTurkey to block websites that you don't need, or turn off

your phone or social media notifications for a few hours when you really need to focus.

Four, remember to take a break.

It may sound like the oldest trick in the book, but regular breaks are among the most

effective productivity boosters.

In fact, a 2011 study revealed that brief and rare mental breaks could increase focus,

which in turn leads to higher productivity.

Nowadays, many people tend to skip breaks just to get more things done.

In other words, they think that by not taking any breaks, they will dedicate more time to

work which will, in theory, lead to better results.

Unfortunately, when we put that much pressure on ourselves, productivity tends to drop significantly.

You can use the Pomodoro technique to break down your work time into specific intervals

that are separated by short breaks.

Five, get out of your chair!

Nowadays, a lot of people have jobs that involve spending hours sitting in front of a computer.

This can be extremely unhealthy for both the body and mind and over time cause serious

health problems.

In a study that investigated the effects of installing stand-capable desks in the workplace,

researchers concluded that giving employees the opportunity to get off their chairs can

be very beneficial.

Instead of spending your break sitting at your desk and scrolling through your phone,

you could go for a short walk or do some light stretches.

Not only will your body will feel less tense, but your eyes and mind will benefit from that

well-deserved break away from technology.

To sum up, if you're looking to become more productive, the five tips listed above are

a helpful starting point.

Everyone aims for high productivity.

Everyone wants to get things done and achieve top results as quickly as possible.

Just remember that a healthy mind is a productive mind.

Replicating fully accessible & inclusive playgrounds throughout the country | Innov. Practice 2018 - Duration: 5:49.

Jean Judes, Executive Director of Beit Issie Shapiro (BIS), Israel, will be presenting Friendship Park – an accessible and inclusive playground model.

There are three girls – Karen who uses a hearing aid, Dana who is typically-developing, and May who uses a wheelchair. Imagine that you are 4 years old and answer 3 simple questions:

1. Who would you like to play with?2. Which child is smart?3. Which child gets dirty?

Our circles approach is based on the belief that to make an inclusive society, one has to look at the person with disabilities, as well as at the person's interactions with his/her family, community and society, within

the cultural, social and economic context. Any community-based change requires us to intervene on all these levels.

In 2013, BIS launched a study to examine young children's attitudes toward children with disabilities. We found that children had more positive attitudes towards children without disabilities and more

negative attitudes towards children with disabilities. However, we learned that their perceptions are not a core problem and are completely addressable.

We turned to our municipality, which provided land in the public community park, in order to develop the first accessible playground in Israel. We forged vast and diverse partnerships, including people with

disabilities, their families, architects, garden designers, professionals, local politicians, etc.

An accessible playground is not only about the children, but also about parents, grandparents and caregivers with disabilities. Bella Tzur couldn't go to the park as a child, or as a parent with 4 children. Now

after 50 years, she is able to go to the playground with her grandchild.

It was clear that a physically accessible playground is not enough – in order to ensure an inclusive community, social accessibility must also be addressed. BIS designed educational programs in kindergartens

and schools to address the perceptions of the children we researched, and to change the attitudes of their teachers and parents.

In partnership with Sesame St. Israel and Sesame Workshop, a muppet using a wheelchair was created, and is depicted as a smart, capable individual and a natural part of the in-group. With the help of

Sesame Street, we developed workshops for children in kindergartens and schools, and portrayed our messages in the playground.

Our strategy for social change is to have a multi-layered holistic approach. Real change cannot occur just through service delivery, or just through legislation. Change happens through the complex

interchange of expectations, attitudes, services, knowledge and policy.

Following the research and the implementation of the educational programs in kindergartens and schools, we saw a massive change in the perceptions of children towards children with disabilities, as well as

a change in the attitudes of the teachers and parents. Imagine two years down the road – what would the change be?

BREAKING: Couple Who Florida Shooter Lived With Up Until Massacre Makes Shock Admission - Duration: 4:51.

BREAKING: Couple Who Florida Shooter Lived With Up Until Massacre Makes Shock Admission.

The Stoneman Douglas High School shooter was living with some family friends up until the

day he walked into his former school, he had been expelled from and opened fire in a fit

of rage which had been building for months, if not years.

19-year-old Nikolas Cruz had been taken in by the couple after his adoptive mother died

of pneumonia in November, according to The Palm Beach Post.

Her death left both him and his 17-year-old brother, set to turn 18 next week, as orphans.

Despite Nikolas being a legal adult, he wasn't a stable one, and apparently, neither was

his brother who was just taken into custody on Sunday afternoon from a separate foster

family's home and involuntarily admitted into a mental health facility.

Nikolas planned his horrific attack for months under James and Kimberly Snead's home, after

he was kicked out of his another caretaker's home for not giving up his gun, Palm Beach

Post reported.

The Sneads knew Cruz was collecting weapons in mass and addressed it with him by asking

that he just store them in a locked safe.

However, that's not all that happened in the horrifying months leading up to one of

the deadliest school shootings in our nation's history.

The Sneads just made a shock admission on live televisions that's answering some questions

the FBI apparently doesn't want anyone to know.

The Sneads are an accomplished, seemingly well-established pair who thought they were

doing the right thing for a teen who had nowhere to go and had suffered the loss of both his

father and his adoptive mother in a relatively short time.

The couple's teen son had urged his parents to take his friend in to help him out.

According to BizPacReview, James Snead, 48, is a decorated Army veteran and military intelligence

analyst and his 48-year-old wife, Kimberly Snead, is a neonatal intensive care nurse.

However, the couple insist that they "didn't know" about Cruz's dark side.

Speaking distraught and shocked, Kimberly told the reporter, "We had this monster

living under our roof and we didn't know.

We didn't see this side of him."

James second that sentiment saying, "Everything everybody seems to know, we didn't know.

It's as simple as that."

However, they described some really strange behavior of Cruz's they saw along the way

that should have led them to question this kid and perhaps look a little more into who

was living in their home.

Despite the extremely odd things they witnessed him do regularly, James said that he just

thought Cruz was a naïve teen, but it looks like the same could possibly now be said of

the couple who took him in.

BizPac Review reports:

Mr. Snead described Cruz as "very naïve.

He wasn't dumb, just naïve."

The young man reportedly had odd eating habits, such as putting chocolate chip cookies in

his steak and cheese sandwiches.

He typically went to bed at 8pm.

The Sneads also said Cruz didn't know how to cook, use a microwave, or do laundry when

he first moved in.

They told the Sun Sentinel he was extremely depressed about his mother's death.

Five days before the shooting, Kimberly Snead accompanied Cruz to a therapist's office.

He told her he was willing to receive therapy, but did not want medication.

The couple said they allowed Cruz to keep his guns in the house, but under strict rules.

The firearms were stored in a locked cabinet and the teenager had to ask permission to

take them out.

James Snead thought only he had the key to the cabinet, but now believes Cruz must have

obtained his own copy.

According to the Sneads, Cruz had only asked to take his guns out twice since November.

They said "yes" once and "no" once.

The couple didn't see the shooting suspect exhibit any signs of animal cruelty, of which

he has been accused by others.

The Snead family owns two dogs and seven cats.

At 2:30pm on Wednesday, the Sneads' panic-stricken son called James and told him of the shooting.

He and classmates had jumped a fence and escaped into a neighboring middle school.

It's easy for others not in the position that the Sneads were and are now in, to question

how they did things in their home.

They did have a rather passive approach to this teen they were housing out of compassion

for his situation, which was perhaps because he was distraught by his mother's recent

death and they didn't want to push him.

However, without him knowing, they could have and should have searched his social media,

as a preventive approach to protect themselves and their family – and ultimately an entire

school full of innocent people.

While it's not always the case that killers make their intentions known on social media,

it was evident in Cruz's scenario.

Also, a background check before or after letting him live with them would have also been effective.
