Lenovo Legion Y720 loaded with GTX GeForce 1060 - Duration: 4:19.
Hello Guys, Welcome back here I am reviewing the Legion
Series by Lenovo that is Lenovo Legion Y720.
Now Legion Y720 was showcased in CES 2017 and it is cheap laptop that is loaded with
high end graphics card Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060.
Now screen size is 15.6" FHD IPS Anti Glare screen that support both 1080 and 4K and you
increase or decrease the brightness of the screen.
Outer laptop surface is Aluminium Matt finish and is prone to finger print and touch marks.
The monitor hinge is superb and open up the monitor neatly.
Now Lenovo Legion Y720 is provided with a software called Lenovo Nerve Center using
which you can control certain parameters of the laptop like RBG backlit and extreme cooling.
You can control these parameter using short keys as well but Lenovo Nerve Center gives
you more detail options.
While using extreme cooling the laptop become loud but does the excellent cooling work for
you that can be helpful when you don't have access to external cooling like AC or external
cooling fan.
The laptop is very thin weighs about 3.2 kilograms and proved with lots of ports though the SD
card reader is missing but you can buy and use external card readers.
Various next generation ports are provided like thunderbolt 3 and USB C about which I
will talk in a minute.
The keyboard is plastic and provided with RBG Backlit which can be configured in the
Lenovo Nerve Center.
Lenovo Legion 720 comes with JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos making the sound quality
one of kind experience.
On one side there is charging port, Ethernet port, USB and audio jack while on the other
there is HDMI port, two USB port, thunderbolt 3 and USB C port.
Hard disk is provided with 512 SSD and 1 Terabit of data.
Track pad provided has little lagging issue.
Battery is 1 Lithium Polymer batteries and provide 4 hours of battery backup.
GTX 1060 and 16 GB RAM provides smooth gameplay of up to 105 fps for games like fortnite,
Overwatch etc.
You can lower the graphic settings and still play games like PUB G, Battleground etc.
The closer competitor of this laptop in the market are Acer Helios 300, HP Omen etc.
But overall Lenovo Legion Y720 has better built quality.
