Okay Elliot, what are you going to show us how to make in English and French today?
Elliot - A pizza!
And how do we say pizza dough in French?
Elliot - De la pâte à pizza.
Okay, we hope you join us for that and...
Elliot - Let's get started!
And these are the ingredients we are going to need.
This is some 'flour'.
And how do we say 'flour' in French Elliot?
Elliot - De la farine.
Okay, and what's this?
Elliot - De l'eau.
Okay and that is...
In English, what do we call that?
Elliot - Water.
Water, and we also have some salt.
How do we say that in French?
Elliot - Du sel.
Okay, and then we have olive oil.
How do we say olive oil in French?
Elliot - D'huile d'olive.
Okay, and then this here is called 'yeast', some instant yeast.
How do we say 'yeast' in French?
Elliot - De la levure.
What's this called?
This is a 'bowl'.
How do we say 'a bowl' in French?
Elliot - Un bol.
And we're going to put the flour into a 'measuring cup'.
How do we say a 'measuring cup'?
Elliot - Une tasse à mesurer.
How do we say a 'spoon' in French?
Elliot - Une cuillère.
Okay, lovely.
And do you want to measure out 250 grams of flour.
How do we say 'two hundred and fifty grams' in French?
Elliot - Deux cent cinquante grammes.
Okay, now we need '5 grams of yeast'.
Elliot - Cinq grammes de levure.
Mix that with the spoon.
And then we've got our salt here in a little bowl, and we'll take a few pinches of that.
There we go and then we want to mix that again.
And now we need 30 millilitres of olive oil.
Put all of that in.
How do we say '30 millilitres'?
Elliot - Trente millilitres.
Now the last thing we need is some water.
And for the water we need '150 millilitres'.
How do we say 'one hundred and fifty millilitres'?
Elliot - Cent cinquante millilitres.
There we go.
I'll pour that in and then you can start stirring.
Okay.
What you want to try and do is get all of the flour mixed in.
And then add more water as you need it.
Elliot - A bit more.
A bit more!
Like that there.
And then now we need to knead the dough.
Okay so we've just put the, the dough on the table.
And how do we say 'pizza dough' in French again Elliot?
Elliot - De la pâte à pizza.
Okay.
Elliot's turning it over and then pushing his hand into it.
Okay, shall I give it a couple of goes here?
About five minutes, 5 minutes of kneading.
Do you want to put a little flour at the the bottom of the bowl?
And then we'll put the dough in.
We're going to put a cloth on it and just a little touch of water.
So we'll put this in a dark place and we'll come back in an hour to see whether or not
our pizza dough has risen.
Elliot - Hello.
Hi again, we're back with our...
Elliot - Our pizza.
All risen there.
Do you want to put a little flour on the pizza tray?
Just to help it so it doesn't stick.
There.
Now we'll dump this out.
Do you want to help Elliot?
And there you go, ready to be layered with lots of juicy toppings.
That worked really well, didn't it?
Did you enjoy that?
Would you like to say goodbye Elliot?
Elliot - Bye!
Bye, and how do you say 'bye' in French?
Elliot - Au revoir!
Au revoir.
