Google's Android 80 Oreo is finally here after many rounds of testing. The Android O features revealed by Google give a clear picture of how mobile devices will look like in 2017 and beyond.
Android's ecosystem is growing, especially with the advent of several devices including Android-powered smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks and smart speaker Google Home. What Google lacks is a perfect synchronization.

Picture-in-Picture.
This is one of the biggest steps by Google and it will be making a huge impact on the company's product line. Picture-in-Picture mode makes Android more productive in nature.
The feature enables a multitasking by allowing you to use two apps at once. In the company's official blog, Google highlights how the user is able to enjoy video chat while accessing other features of the device.
This is not a new concept, but it's new for the platform.
In simple terms, you can use applications like Google Maps, Duo and video in Chrome in picture-in-picture mode, and even after closing the app with the home button, the app will pop-out in a window so you can multitask.
Autofill. A large number of password managers available on Play Store, and there are many for desktops as well.
When it comes to managing passwords on Android, such applications don't always work accurately and most of the time users have to simply copy and paste their passwords in the required fields. The new Android 80 Oreo brings a dedicated Autofill feature.
Once you're done setting up your phone to support this feature, every time you open an app that requires login fields to be filled, Android Oreo will automatically retrieve the password from the database and you can simply authenticate the login with your pin or fingerprint.
If you're using any of the well-known applications for password management, fortunately, Oreo will allow third party developers to use the Autofill API for application development. Wide-gamut color for apps:.
Display quality is increasingly being improved in the smartphone and tablets. The support for color profiles largely depends on the device's manufacturer. Some of the recently launched device support wide-gamut color and many third party applications get benefitted due to this.
Now, with the arrival of Android 80 Oreo, this feature is coming to the smartphones. An average user wouldn't care much about it, but professional photographers and graphics designers who develop or use imaging applications will be enjoying it.
The feature is device specific, so the devices with wide-gamut color display capabilities will be able to get Oreo's support for embedded color profiles including AdobeRGB, Pro Photo RGB, and DCI-P3.
Google's Android Oreo is little away from show-off, but it brings many things the Android ecosystem needed. The company has taken care of both the necessities and innovation with the latest update.
Regarding its release, Google says: "by the end of this year" a majority of handsets will get Android 80 Oreo.
The companies including Essential, HMD Global Home of Nokia Phones, General Mobile, Huawei, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, HTC, OnePlus, Samsung, Sony, and Sharp are scheduled to release updates or launch devices with Oreo.
