It's time to get stylin' with Sunny Day Style Files.
Hi, it's me, Sunny.
Want to take a look inside the Style Files?
You're going to need a brush, a teasing comb, hair
clips, hair elastics, hair pins, and tinsel
to create a Star Braid.
Let's get started.
Start by brushing your hair to make sure there are no tangles.
This style works best on damp hair.
Using the tail of a teasing comb,
part your hair into five ponytails,
one above your left ear, one above your right ear,
one at the top of your head, and two near the top of your neck.
Secure all these ponytails with hair elastics.
These will be the points of your awesome Star Braid.
Starting with the top, split your ponytail
into two sections.
Take one section and split that into three equal pieces.
Take the outside piece, bring it over the middle piece
and pull it through.
Then take the other outside piece,
bring it over the middle piece and pull it through.
Keep going until your braid reaches a low ponytail.
Use a hair elastic to hold your braid in place.
Now braid the other section.
Take the ponytail on the right side
and split that into two sections.
Take one section and start braiding.
Then braid the other section.
Hey, great braiding!
Take one braid from your right side
and combine it into the left-side ponytail
with a hair elastic.
Then take the other braid and combine it
into the left-side low ponytail.
Don't forget an elastic to hold it in place.
Now take the left-side ponytail, braid it
and place it across your head.
Combine it into the right-side low ponytail.
Wow.
I can see a star forming.
Use hair elastics to combine the two
braids from the top of your head into the bottom ponytails.
Now it's time to braid them.
Use hairpins to keep your star nice and neat.
Try attaching tinsel to pins and placing it at the bottom points
of the star.
Cool!
Now you look just like a shooting star.
Wow, you shine, girl.
The Star Braid, that's definitely
one for the Style Files.
Keep smilin', keep stylin'.
