Statistics show that about 1 out of 5 American citizens suffer from some form of mental illness

every year.

These illnesses run the gamut from depression to Tourette's syndrome.

And with a market of more than 42 million people a year as their potential clients,

Big Pharma hasn't wasted any time creating countless pills they claim are going to solve

your mental health problems.

There are plenty of medications available that do provide relief for people suffering

from mental health problems, but there are also a wide variety of pills that have had

their efficacy overstated by drug companies who were just trying to cash in on the latest

blockbuster market that has opened up.

Abilify is an anti-psychotic medication manufactured and marketed by Otsuka Pharmaceutical and

Bristol Meyers Squibb.

It's used in the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, Tourette's syndrome, autism

and depression.

It's intended to help decrease hallucinations, disorganized thinking, mood swings, depressive

thoughts and tics.

There are numerous lawsuits pending involving their anti-psychotic medication Abilify that

clearly show the drug can cause impulse issues in adults, such as chaotic gambling, shopping,

binge eating and hypersexuality.

And with every one of those issues comes an entirely new set of problems for the people

that are taking the pill.

There have been reports of people losing everything by gambling away their homes, cars, and retirement

funds due to the effects of Abilify.

People are wrecking their home lives because of the side effects of Abilify.

What is so remarkable of all that is that the science appears to be absolutely solid

that Abilify is at the heart of the problem.

There's no guesswork here.

They've seen the statistics; they know the numbers.

According to the lawsuits that have been filed against Otsuka and Bristol Meyers Squibb,

the company was fully aware of how their medication adversely affected a person's impulse control

and they completely failed to warn the public about these dangers, even though they had

warned in Europe long before.

Documents point to the fact that the company had plenty of information to show the problems

here with the side effects related to Abilify.

They over-sold the effectiveness of the drug because and kept quiet about the risks because

they wanted a piece of the 42 million-customer market.

And they were wildly successful.

In 2014, Abilify was one of the best-selling medications in the United States, bringing

in more than $7 billion for Big Pharma.

In spite of all the dangers that have been emerging in the public arena with this medication

for more than 4 years, juvenile detention centers, if you can imagine, have been spending

hundreds of thousands of dollars each year buying stockpiles of Abilify so they can medicate

juvenile delinquents rather than taking the time to try rehabilitating them.

And these drugs are only increasing the frequency of the very behaviors that landed these children

in trouble in the first place.

This is the new normal for Big Pharma in America.

Vegan Cheesecake with Plum Compote | Nut-free + Soy-free + Gluten-free | Vegan Recipe - Duration: 8:27.

During last week's grocery shopping, we stumbled on some gorgeous yellow plums.

You might have seen them already on our Instagram feed.

These golden beauties were simply irresistible.

They were heavenly to eat on their own but I also wanted to use them in a recipe.

Today's recipe is a vegan cheesecake that is inspired from the Coconut, Lime and Pineapple

dessert that we had a while ago at the Café Chat l'Heureux in Montreal.

If you've missed this video, I'll link it up for you in the description.

I have added my own twist to it with a plum compote as topping instead of pineapples.

This recipe is nut-free, soy-free and gluten-free too.

On a sidenote, before we move on to the recipe, I have a small request.

If you would like to support this channel you can make a donation via our Paypal.

This will allow us to devote a little more time to the channel and post more frequently.

You can find the link to our Paypal in the description under this video or in our About

section on the channel page.

Also, you can subscribe to our newsletter, the link is in the description or in the top

right of the video.

You will not only be notified of new recipes each time we post them but also receive some

exclusive recipes that are not shared anywhere else, like this Tikka Masala Mixed Dal recipe

that we sent out recently.

Now, let's start with the recipe.

I am using millet as the base filling in this cheesecake.

Millet is quite an unsuspecting ingredient for a cheesecake but it provides a creamy

neutral base for tangy flavours to take the centre stage.

We'll start by cooking the millet.

As usual you'll find the printable recipe on our website.

Thoroughly rinse one cup of millet then add it to a saucepan with 3 1/2 cups of water.

Cover and simmer until most of the water is absorbed.

Stir occasionally.

When most of the water is absorbed, turn off the heat and cover the pan.

Set aside and let it cool.

Meanwhile prepare the crust.

I am using buckwheat flour for a gluten-free version.

You can also use a gluten-free flour blend or just regular all-purpose flour if you don't

particularly need the recipe to be gluten-free.

Combine all the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl, i.e. the flour, cornstarch

(omit the cornstarch if you are using regular flour), baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Whisk everything together.

Then make a well in the centre and add in all the wet ingredients, the oil, maple syrup

or other liquid sweetener and the vinegar.

Mix everything together gently until a dough is formed.

You may lightly mix the dough a couple of times with your hand until it is smooth and

all ingredients are well combined.

Line the bottom of a 23-cm or 9-inch springform pan with greaseproof paper.

Lightly grease the sides with some oil.

Press the dough on the bottom and spread evenly.

Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or until the filling is ready.

Once the millet is cooled, lightly break the clumps and fluff it.

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

Place the cooked millet in a blender along with the rest of the filling ingredients except

the coconut flour.

So, add in the canned coconut milk.

Choose a full fat creamy one.

In this recipe, you can't really substitute the coconut milk as it plays a crucial part

for the cheesecake to set.

Add the lemon juice, the maple syrup or other sweetener.

vanilla extract and the oil.

I am using melted coconut oil and for the same reason as the coconut milk, there is

basically no substitute for it.

You may want to blend this mixture in two batches as the amount might be a little strenuous

for some blenders.

Process to a smooth puree.

Then add the coconut flour, stir and mix well.

By the way I have a video tutorial on how to make your own coconut flour at home.

Check the description for the link.

As mentioned before, check out our website for the printable recipe

and correct amounts of ingredients.

Remove the crust from the refrigerator and pour the filling mixture.

Lightly tap to even out and remove any air bubbles.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile prepare the plum compote.

I am not peeling the plums as I do not feel it is necessary.

The skin does add some tanginess to the compote so you may want to peel them if you would

like it to be sweeter.

Remove the stone and cut the plums into wedges or cubes.

This is a very easy recipe and apart from serving this compote as a topping on this

cheesecake, you can also enjoy it as a spread too on toast, porridge or with cereal.

Place the plums in a skillet with the maple syrup or sugar and vanilla.

Like I mentioned, this compote is more on the tangy side but feel free to sweeten it

to your liking.

Cook on high heat until the plums are lightly stewed and the liquid has thickened.

Turn off the heat and let cool.

Place it in a jar and refrigerate for up to 5 days until needed.

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let cool completely.

The edges and top should still remain cream in colour.

It might still look like it is not quite firm yet but it will set in the fridge.

Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.

I find that it sets much better after 24 hours.

So you might want to make this cheesecake in advance.

Top with the plum compote to serve.

Some lime zest dramatically intensifies the flavours so I wouldn't skip it.

This millet cheesecake is a definite winner.

In fact, it proves out to be one of the best uses for millet in my opinion.

It is worth trying even for those who don't particular like millet.

In this cheesecake, it is just something else.

Franklin Graham Ignites Internet Firestorm With Demand For The "Religion of Peace", Top Stories Toda - Duration: 3:04.

The Rev. Franklin Graham, no stranger to controversy, stirred up another internet firestorm after

last week's terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain, by posting a message to Facebook regarding

his thoughts on the so-called "religion of peace."

Quoting a column published a day earlier by former CIA ops officer Bryan Dean Wright,

the 65-year-old evangelist noted that Wright "says our politicians should make it clear

that our fight is 'against a religious ideology rather than a random group of fanatics'

and should stop saying 'Islam is a religion of peace.'"

"He's right," Graham added, "we are making a mistake by allowing the operation

and spread of the dark and dangerous teachings of Islam."

By Monday morning the post had already accumulated 15,000 "likes," nearly 1,000 and been

shared almost 5,000 times.

A similar message posted to Twitter also drew wide notice:

Underlying the reverend's message was the belief that radicalism isn't a bug of Islam;

it's a prominent, integrated feature.

"While there are millions of Muslims who don't agree with or participate in the violence

of Islam, they can't leave the religion because their families would be obligated

to kill them," Graham wrote.

"Islam reigns in lives through fear and intimidation."

He may have been right.

A poll conducted last year by British broadcaster Channel 4 found that a full two-thirds of

British Muslims would not tip off the police if someone "they knew was getting involved

with people who support terrorism in Syria."

The results of the poll wound up even shocking Trevor Phillips, the former chairman of the

Equality and Human Rights Commission.

"For a long time, I, too, thought that Europe's Muslims would become like previous waves of

migrants, gradually abandoning their ancestral ways, wearing their religious and cultural

baggage lightly, and gradually blending into Britain's diverse identity landscape,"

he told the U.K. Daily Express in an April 2016 interview.

Apparently, he thought wrong, though he wasn't alone.

Liberal politicians throughout Europe and the United States have fallen for the same

myth about the so-called "religion of peace," and the results have been disastrous.

Just last week a suspected terror cell of radical Islamists orchestrated an attack in

Barcelona, Spain, that left at least 15 innocents dead.

And by Monday coverage of the attack had already mostly faded from the news, just going to

show how sickeningly accustomed the world has become to radical Islamic terrorism.

Things clearly need to change, and perhaps the change that's needed is exactly as Graham

said — that the world, and especially politicians, need to stop referring to Islam as a "religion

of peace."

Please share this news on Facebook and Twitter and let us know what you think about Franklin

Graham's belief that politicians should stop calling Islam a "religion of peace."
