What's up guys, Rogue-9 here!
We all know that the pistols have been changed in Rainbow Six Siege but the update goes so
much further than just the recoil animation that everyone has been talking about.
Besides it being much easier to target your enemies now, the fire rate and damage stat
changes also significantly increase the damage output of all pistols, making them highly
competitive in close range gunfights.
So let me show you exactly what has and hasn't changed for the pistols
since the launch of Operation White noise!
I compared the reload times and aim down sight (or ADS) times for a selection of different
pistols from before and after the recent patch and I can confirm that neither of these parameters
has been modified.
Total ammo carried by the operators for each of the different pistols also remains the same.
In terms of what has changed, easily the most noticeable update is that
to the visual recoil of the pistols.
In the past, the handguns would kick upwards and to the right quite violently, covering
the most important part of your screen for a few frames and thereby making it difficult
to track targets while shooting at maximum fire rate.
And while this representation of the visual recoil is much closer to what you would experience
while shooting a pistol in real life, landing targeted headshots in the game was almost
impossible like this and depended more onluck than on skill.
With the new visual recoil, you operator is able to keep a near perfect line of sight
across the top of the gun, allowing you to track and target your opponents.
It also allows you to get a better feeling for the actual recoil affecting your point
of aim so that you can better judge where your next bullet is going to land when you're
pulling the trigger as fast as possible.
An amazing improvement already but that's not all that has changed.
Fire rate, damage and actual recoil have also been modified so let's check those updates
out, starting with the actual recoil.
When recording my comparison footage I made sure to always stand at the same spot and
fire at train cart from the same distance away.
This allows us to compare the impact patterns of the bullets to see if the actual recoil
has changed in any way.
One caveat for this test is that I was also trying to achieve the maximum fire rate, so
not all bursts were always the same length.
But that limitation aside, I think it is quite clear that for many of the lower damage guns,
the recoil seems to have increased quite a bit.
This is down to two causes: An actual minor increase in the recoil for the guns, plus
(as we will see a little later) an increase in the fire rate for each gun, meaning that
successive bullets can be shot just that little bit earlier, when the muzzle is still pointing
a little higher compared to where it would have been pre-patch.
The minor recoil increase is confirmed by the in-game recoil patterns for each gun,
as you can see here.
Of course, trusting the in-game stats is always a bit a leap of faith, but since they fit
in with my pre- & post-patch test recordings, I am inclined to trust these images.
So even though the new visual recoil makes it possible to actually see what you are shooting
at, the actual recoil affecting the bullet impact is a little harder to control.
Now let's move on to the fire rate and in previous tests, during the Blood Orchid season,
I found out that the designated marksman rifles (or DMRs) and pistols had the same fire rate.
I recorded myself shooting all of these guns as fast as I could and the mode average time
between shots was 133ms or eight frames at 60fps.
This translated into a nice round fire rate of 450rpm and while the DMRs still shoot at
this rate (I double checked) the pistols can now be fired somewhat faster.
To be able to measure the new fire rate as accurately as possible, I turned my graphics
settings down to full potato mode to get the game running as smooth as buttered silk with
a frame rate of up to 350fps.
But sadly, the benefit of doing so was still limited by the fact that I am only able to
record at a framerate of 60fps so precisely determining the new fire rate was not possible.
The time between shots after the update was usually 7 frames (indicating a fire rate of
514.3rpm) but on several occasions I also managed to fire two shots within 6 frames
of each other (which translates into 600rpm) and analysing the audio waveforms of the footage
I recorded, revealed that the time between shots was around 6.5 frames (meaning around 550rpm).
So despite the limitations of 60fps footage and my annoying human inability to click my
mouse at a consistently high rate, I would conclude that under combat conditions, most
players will be able to fire the pistols at somewhere between 500 and 550rpm with the
max possible rate being up to 600rpm.
On consoles, depending on your controller and button layout, I can imagine that achieving
this maximum fire rate is even more challenging, so for the purposes of calculating a realistic
new damage output, I will assume a fire rate of 550rpm instead of the max rate of 600rpm
I managed to achieve on occasion.
So that's step one down in estimating the damage output per second, now let's see
what has changed with the damage drop-off curves.
All pistols have kept their existing linear damage decline between 12 and 22m but the
maximum and minimum damage stats have, in some cases, changed quite significantly.
The overall tendency in the update is that high powered pistols like the Luison, LFP586,
the D-50 and the PMM keep their stats unchanged
while some of the mid-low powered guns received considerable buffs.
The only exception here is the RG15 used by Ela and Zofia; it was relatively low powered
to begin with and has received no buffs at all, which has now made it the weakest sidearm of all.
But this makes complete sense, since this pistol is also the only one that comes with
an optical sight attached so the low damage output is likely used to balance the weapon out.
The biggest winners in terms of increased damage are the 5.7 USG and P9, which both
received a 14 point buff to their max damage (that is a 50% and 45% gain over their previous stats respectively).
The Q929 and M45 are also significantly more powerful now after a 20 & 21% buff amounting
to 10 points absolute gain each.
The minimum damage buffs for ranges of 22m and onwards are, as you can see, a bit more
diverse with the 5.7 USG receiving the greatest benefit of 10 points, the P226: 8 points,
the GSh-18: 7 points, the P229: 6 points and the Q929, USP40, P12 and P9: 5 points each.
As a part of these changes, there have also been a couple of nerfs.
The P226 lost 4 points of maximum damage, which brings it more in line with the other
medium damage weapons and poor old Capitao's PRB92 also lost one point of max damage, putting
it on par with the new 5.7 USG as one of the absolutely weakest pistols in the game.
Don't ask me what this guy did to deserve being punished even more.
Both of his primaries have always been kind of lacklustre and now his already less than
stellar sidearm has been kicked down another notch.
I would say R.I.P Capitao mains but I guess there are none so I suppose none really cares?
In summary, the damage range of the pistols has been compressed by raising up the low
damage pistols and now that we have this data, we can compare the new pistol capabilities
against other classes of weapons in the game.
The online spreadsheet I created after the Blood Orchid patch has been updated now to
include the new and changed weapons for White Noise, so if you want a full insight into
stats like damage per second, shots to kill and time to kill against all three types of
armour and more, use the link in the description.
The average maximum damage per shot of the new pistols (without the Luison) is now 52
points and the average minimum damage is 28 points.
That puts the pistols in second place, in terms of raw damage output per shot, only
beaten by the DMRs (when excluding Glaz' rifle).
That may make the pistols seem overpowered but even with the new and improved fire rates,
average max damage per second is pretty mediocre and in terms of average min DPS, the pistols
come in at the very bottom of the rankings.
Average time to kill stats against all three types of armour (as always assuming max fire
rate and that all shots hit the torso or arms of your opponent) also perfectly reflect these findings.
At max damage range, the pistols are pretty average and at longer ranges, they will lose
out to all other types of weapons.
So in conclusion, ammo count, ADS time and reload time all stay the same.
The visual recoil is vastly improved, making it easier for you to track your target while
the combination of a minor recoil increaseand the higher fire rate make the guns slightly harder to control.
Damage per shot has been increased significantly for the lower damage pistols making the class
as a whole very competitive against all other types of weapons up close but their earlier
damage drop off and average minimum damage make them a poor choice for longer range engagements.

life the world the economy is going
we're going through massive changes and
some of them are unprecedented we
haven't seen for 40 50 60 70 80 years
and yet at the same time we inherently
know that with all this change there's
opportunity that there's a chance for
our lives to be better than they've ever
been that transformations are happening
in science and technology can truly
change the quality of our lives the
length of our lives the way we
experience life and yet day to day most
people live I think with a great deal of
foreboding a great deal of uncertainty
and so I thought it might be nice to
just drop in for a couple of minutes and
give you a couple of triggers to remind
you what I know you know in your heart
and that is we are not made to survive
we're made to thrive human beings our
spirit our capacity to adapt our ability
to grow I'll be able to learn with
lightning like speed our ability to find
a way to serve others that calling
inside of us that we have as a parent or
as a friend or someone who truly cares
when we put our fear aside because
there's something we want to serve
greater than ourselves we all have that
ability to find that passion in our life
and as we now are in 2014 a lot of
people start out with a new year and it
becomes a trigger for you know the
possibility of a new life but that
disappears after a few disappointments
after coming up with a few New Year's
resolutions that within a week or two
they've already broken I'm gonna talk to
you about just the simple core of
letting you and I are made for we are
not made to survive we're not made to
manage our pain or get through it we're
made to be creators of our lives we can
create anything anything we can dream
about we can create and I know that
sounds like positive thinking you know
just BS but in your soul there been
times in your life I know when you've
had something that you wanted so much
maybe you wanted something for someone
you care about maybe you want something
for yourself but you became so obsessed
with something achieving it experiencing
whether it was a transformation you know
in yourself a change in your business
you know making a certain amount of
money getting a job you know increase of
some physician increase maybe it was
doing something for your mom or your dad
or your kids somewhere in your life
you've gotten obsessed enough to really
want to create
something that may not even known how
you were gonna do it but you just wanted
it desired it that you started all of a
sudden taking action and you got
insights and before you knew it what
used to be just this impossible dream
became a reality is it fair to say that
some stage in your life that there are
some things today in your life there
once just a dream or a goal that once
seemed difficult or impossible whether
it be the job you have or the
relationship you're in and might be
taking for granted is it is there
anything in your life today that was
once like that well then you and I are
creators and very often when we get
overwhelmed by so many things we feel
out of control by we start getting into
being managers of our life managing our
pain managing through the situation so
my purpose here is to say what does it
take to thrive once again so let me give
you five quick keys number one key to
thriving is you've got to allow yourself
to be able to take advantage of
uncertainty yes the world is uncertain
right now uncertainty has changed
changes life we both know that we all
know that but if you're not gonna become
masters we have to understand and we
have to work on change change is
automatic progress is not if you're not
gonna make progress here in 2014
whatever stage of the year he's looking
at this progress comes when you tell
yourself the truth and you're able to
feel the uncertainty and take action
anyway the thing that stops us all is
fear it's no surprise if you're a
failure for your rejection fear the
unknown if you're not looking good and
that fear we could translate into the
simple thing of uncertainty now when you
look at someone who's incredibly
successful you look at someone who's
truly a leader in their life or in their
field the one thing they have in common
is they exude this sense of certainty
the words that come from is it end born
are they lucky I think just going their
way now great leaders know how to step
in the uncertainty and bring the
certainty to the situation most people
life we really feel like the level of
stress in our life comes to how much of
life do you feel like you control or how
much does life control you do you tend
to control more what's going on or
events controlling you it's very easy
that those events start to take control
unless we take control what's between
our ears our own mind you see what you
and I focus on massively affects how we
feel whether we're thriving or surviving
if you focus on what you can't control
if you focus on the past if you focus on
what's missing from your life constantly
that pattern of focus will make you
frustrated overwhelmed and depressed it
won't even matter if you're you know
taking enter depressants if you keep
focusing on what you can't control
what's missing from your life you're
gonna feel depressed though you think as
many antidepressants as you want
focus equals power if you want to thrive
you gotta focus on what you can control
you got to focus on the difference you
can make you're gonna focus on what's
already in your life that you're
grateful for and I have a little process
here at the end that's my gift to you
which is just a simple ritual that can
bring you back to this place so one
thing that leaders do is they focus on
the things they want they focus on what
they can control they focus on what they
have they have a combination of
gratitude strength and commitment they
really unleash the second element they
have a vision they have something that
they're after something they want to
create something they want to contribute
something they want to give something
you want to make happen and that's when
you become a creator again instead of a
manager of life and it's easy to lose
that sense of vision in your life
through disappointments hey we've all
had them you get all excited about
something and then you know life seems
to crush it
somebody betrays you you betray yourself
you don't follow through and then you
don't trust yourself at the same level
what makes somebody a leader is they
build this certainty and not only with
focus and now we do they get a vision
for what they want but they bring that
certainty in their body listen if you've
ever been to one of my live events you
know that one of the greatest things
about let's say unleash the power within
is you go through a weekend where you
literally train your nervous system
certainly I mean how the heck did you
get people to storm through fire it's
not about fire walking it's about
getting yourself to be able to take
action and the areas of your life that
normally you would more than the whole
back or your brain would take over and
say I can't do this are you crazy
somebody else did it but not me what we
do is get people in a state where you're
gonna follow through or you're gonna
face your fear and do it anyway and the
way we do that besides changing people's
focus showing how to direct and control
that focus is also by learning how to
use your body as the tool to change your
state listen if I drop my shoulders
enough I woulda breathe shallow enough
and I would have slowed down and
say you know I don't know I'll give it a
try and go into this state
I'd be like Samson get us haircut off
because what we don't realize is that
our mind is directly affected by the way
we use our body if you change the tempo
what you move it you change the way you
breathe then you change the way you use
your voice you literally change your
biochemistry and the one thing that
you'll see that's the same with a
greatest golfer in the world or the
greatest musician or the greatest you
know actor is they have this sense of
certainty and it isn't born it's
something that you make as a habit you
drill it into yourself I sure as heck
didn't have that sense of certainty
growing up not even close and what I
found myself doing early on is I felt so
uncertain I couldn't get myself to do
anything so I did all these rituals
these rituals of certainty I would go on
these runs and on the run even though I
didn't feel like it I would do these
incantations where I would say out loud
over and over again you know gods won't
this circulate in my life his wealth
flows to me an avalanche ISM abundance
all my needs desires and goals are met
instantaneously by infinite intelligence
from one with God and God is everything
and I would say that over and over and
over for 30 minutes just crazy I would
envision that God circling is well
circulating my life and I see the wealth
of love and friendship and impact and
growth and economics and all these
things physical fitness and aliveness
I'd see this wealth of abundance flowing
oceans of it into my life as I went and
did these things if you envision
something clearly enough and you bring
certainty to it over and over again if
you engage your physical body in a
simple ritual it could be as little as
10 minutes a day
I call it my hour of power or 15 minutes
to be fulfilled and all you do is you
take five minutes and in those first
five minutes you get yourself moving and
you get yourself in a state of certainty
and the way you move and the way you
breathe you focus on what you're excited
about your life you focus on what you
want to create what you want to bring to
your children what you want to bring to
the world and it it changes your state
we all know what happens when you're out
of state when you're burnt out when
you're frustrated when you're
overwhelmed you snap at people sometimes
feel bad about it you didn't mean to
it's just the state you're in
so to thrive this year take uncertainty
and bring certainty to it to thrive this
year get what I call a compelling future
pick anything a goal a dream and desire
something to excite you so much that
you're gonna feel yourself compelled to
actually find a way to make it happen
you've done it before
you've got an abscessed you know you
know how you did it but things happen
and you've gotten yourself to where you
want to be let's make that happen this
year right now regardless of its later
in the year at the beginning you you're
watching this I made this so that
hopefully I'd remind you of what you
know that your main to thrive not
survive what's the third element that
makes somebody an effective leader makes
them a thriver even when the environment
is crazy well they bring certainty and
uncertainty that's leadership skill buy
focus and physiology by the way they
move by the way they breathe by what
they do they bring that certain because
there's something they want so bad that
it makes them overcome the fear they
focus on what they want to create what
they want to give not oh my god what if
I fail but the third thing they do is
they're decisive listen nothing changes
your life like decision I mean real
decision though not Whoopie well you
know I'll try or I kind of decided I
want to give it a shot the word decision
comes some incision in Latin to cut off
from and when you make a decision you
cut off from any possibility except the
thing you've committed to I always tell
people if you want to take the island
burn the boats I mean if you make a real
decision every bit of you is committed
to something
it's amazing how life will move for the
force of nature of a human being man or
woman that says this is how it will be I
don't know how I'm gonna get it done
but I know this is what I'm gonna do I
know why I'm gonna do it was a Martin
Luther King you said it's a man any man
hasn't figured out what he's willing to
die for isn't fit to live if you can
find something you're so excited about
if you can find something that will
drive you with that certainty and you
add to that decisiveness you can change
anything you don't like your job change
it you know but there's no jobs out
there pull right change it start the job
change who you are in the job where you
are and enjoy yourself change your
perception change your appreciation
change your gratitude change your daily
rituals so you start to
things change what you notice changed
I'm trying to get something to try to
give something the whole game will
change decisiveness is the ability to
make a decision even though you're
uncertain once again what keeps people
make a decision fear of failure I
remember I had a chance to get to know
general Norman Schwarzkopf during the
time in which he was commanding our
forces an amazing man and he would step
over there Desert Storm as they called
it in those days and he could command a
guy that was just brilliant you know an
officer who came out of you know Harvard
or background of Princeton and he could
take a kid from the inner city and just
have that same command in connection
with them and I think part of what they
respected about him is he respected
every one himself he had this connection
with people but the other thing
everybody respected was the man was
decisive and I asked him where he
developed that decision-making
capability just the willingness to just
make a decision in trust me so Tony I'll
tell you where I worked for this general
when I was very young and I was his
assistant and he said I remember there
was a research project that the you know
the Pentagon had worked on for that time
he said I remember right like five years
and there are arguments it was a very
strategic decision for where the Defense
Department was going to move towards in
the future how they were going to
operate and he said there were arguments
for both sides and for five years
they've gone back and forth and nothing
was resolved and they came to the
general that he was serving at that time
as the assistant and they had a meeting
and the meeting lasted one hour and at
the end of the hour they didn't general
stood up and said do that and he picked
one of the two and he did it with
absolute certainty and in the military
you saluted you take your orders and you
go he said but Swartz cop said he was
just curious really curious to know you
know how can I get up and make a
decision like that because Swartz cop
said I was the one doing all the
research and there was just there was
loads and loads of research and I know
he hadn't read at all he said it
bothered me that he'd just make a
decision like that without knowing
everything he could possibly know and so
he said Swartz Goff said I finally went
to him and said sir permission to
express myself freely he said
permission granted he said sir how could
you make that decision he said
there are reams and reams and reams of
information you got a one-hour meeting
you heard what 20 minutes of discussion
for both sides and you decided the
entire directional if things are gonna
go for their Armed Services with it this
part of the armed services and he said
how could you possibly do that you don't
have all the information he said no one
does in fact information is important to
an extent but ultimately action is what
needs to be taken
someone needs to decide he was about how
you know you made the right decision he
said no one has made a decision young
man in five years a half a decade what I
decided will be right because either
we'll put all the resources and we'll
make it right or if it's wrong we'll
discover that quicker than sitting on
the fence for them in the five years and
we'll find out it's not right and will
change leadership is making decisions if
you're gonna lead your own life you got
to make decisions and what's worse Scott
says you realize rule number one in life
is when put in charge I'm put in command
take charge make the decision if it's
right or wrong you're gonna find out
quicker than if you sit around and the
interesting thing is the more you make
decisions the better you get what makes
somebody a leader what makes somebody a
leader is they're willing to make the
decision other people won't make they
want to put themself on the line knowing
that you're gonna be wrong and some of
those decisions but you're gonna find
out quicker and you can simply adapt and
change your approach to still get where
you want to go be decisive don't like
your body change it don't like your
relationship change it start by changing
you if you've changed you it's still not
right then change it but the way you
make any change happen starts with a
decision all action all results our
mother door fathered if you would by a
decision what's one small decision you
could make right now they would take you
in a direction you know you need to go
what's a big decision that might be
really tough but have you really made it
truthfully it would take you on a new
direction of your life because whatever
direction you head into will lead to an
ultimate destination or destiny when you
know it's right it's time when you're
still fearful it's still time you want
to change your life decide decide
something you're gonna do decide
something radical to commit an act that
moves you forward instead of thinking
more because we all can get caught up
you know I tell people you get in your
head you're dead the brain is a great
thing to strategize with but there's a
point what you got to get back in your
heart and you got to put yourself on the
line and doose
so if you're gonna thrive this year
bring certainty to your decision-making
by just putting yourself in that state
and trusting trust your Creator not just
a manager of life what do you have to do
get a vision for what you want what else
decide and step for real quick act there
is no such thing as a decision without
action a real decision you kind of
things off and you make it happen you do
something and I've always thought in my
life never leave the sight of making a
decision to something that's important
without doing something in that moment
that commit you to follow-through take
some action in that moment because
otherwise here's what happened you get
excited or something makes sense to you
you're passionate about it and you go
I'm gonna go do this and then you go
home and get caught up in emails and
phone calls and other people need things
from you next thing you know you're out
of state you don't follow through has it
happened to you before and I promise you
if it hasn't it will in the future
people that succeed when opportunities
there they trust they trust if I'm gonna
thrive this is here in my wife for a
purpose life isn't happening to me life
is happening for me and even this pain
or challenge or this opportunity is
something you're gonna find a way to
make yourself I need to make a decision
and I need to do something right now to
move things forward in the direction of
what I really want for my life even if I
don't know the final destination I need
to move in that direction I need you
take some form of action most people
they have all these visions maybe they
start to make a little sort of decision
but they don't make a real decision
because they don't act on it and if you
don't act on it your ideas your dreams
will die in your mind they'll die in
your lips and think about most people in
North America around the world the
Western world are they truly fit strong
and healthy do they truly have a
relationship that's totally passionate
do they love their work
are they economically free the vast
majority you and I both know the answer
is no if you want to be like most people
then what you gotta do is figure how to
survive if you want to lead you got to
thrive and you have that capability and
you're probably already doing and I'm
probably speaking to the choir to some
extent if you're still watching this
right now you have turned me off as a
raging maniac who's on a rant because
that's where I am I'm gonna win right
now a rant to call to your soul to say
you know in our great life is take it to
the next level find the way
thrive on the very things that stop
other people in the tracks thrive on
what produces fear inside you and and
other people thrive on something that
you envision that you have a higher
purpose for thrive by being decisive
thrive by taking massive action and if
the massive action doesn't work what you
try doesn't work just simply try
something else if that doesn't work try
something else that doesn't work try
something else until you find what works
now you can speed that up try modeling
by finding somebody who's already
getting the results that you want to get
in your life somebody already has lost
30 pounds and kept it off
they aren't lucky it's been five years
somebody who started with nothing and
now they're financially free and their
family has an extraordinary quality
why not figure out what they do somebody
who truly is happy not because
everything's going their way
because they find a deeper meaning and a
richness in everything around them
selves whether it be their children or
nature or even problems because
obviously if we have no problems if
you're dead inside problems can either
destroy you
or call you to become more if you look
at the biggest challenges in your life
if you brought certainty to it if you
better vision beyond the problem if you
made some decision of what you're gonna
change even if you know how and if you
took immediate action with enough
intensity massive action you probably
found the cure-all you probably found a
way to adapt and get where you want to
be
that's what thriving is really all about
but the ultimate thriving is not just
breaking through and making things
happen the open thriving for this year
any year of your life is to remember the
secret to living is giving it's too as
corny as that sounds it's to connect to
something bigger than yourself and it
can be done so easily it can be doing
right there at home instead of running
past your kids looking at your phone
it's stopping connecting it's getting
kissing your spouse in a way where those
sparks happen like when you're first met
instead of how you do when I'm moving on
most of us are moving so fast trying to
manage our lives that we're not thriving
thriving comes with depth you're not
gonna find thriving in a friendship that
happens in milliseconds online nothing
wrong with it's great connection but a
depth of a real friendship is not your
Facebook friend it's not the same as
being with some
actually having a full attention not
while you're monitoring what's going on
on your cell phone just the experience
of being with somebody but contributing
your caring contributing your interest
contributing you know in a simple way
finding some way to give love attention
care joy or happiness to any human being
it doesn't have to be working in a soup
kitchen but I could be pretty wonderful
to volunteering an hour in a month an
hour and a week can change a person's
life but it can be outside world can
also be really on the inside world if
you want to thrive then you got a member
life's not about me it's about we you
already know it it's in your soul you
know there doesn't matter words I say if
I'm saying something that's BS you can
feel it if I'm saying something's true
you can feel it your heart and soul and
the thing that's true is we're here for
more than just ourselves and we feel
most alive when we're doing something
that's beyond ourselves when there's
something well we think that by this
interaction someone's gonna feel more
loved somebody's gonna feel more lifted
someone who is down is gonna get up
someone's gonna know that they're cared
for or I'm gonna help somebody
physically through the skills ability
talent whatever helping a stranger or
helping someone you love help comes from
a place where you're abundant you're not
scarce so the most important time to
help is when you think you need it so
next time you're really feeling down and
out maybe find somebody else who's much
worse off because there's always
somebody there if you look around and
see what you can do to help them and
watch what that does to change your
entire spirit psychology and state
you'll find yourself thriving when you
step into a life of meaning beyond you
and ironically life is about you too and
when you're in that thriving state of
growing and giving in that state of
certainty and that state of a vision of
what you want with a sense of purpose in
that state of decisiveness and that
state of action and that state of giving
oh how can you break a loose and you're
still gonna thrive oh how can you break
a loose and you're having a great time
so next time you're feeling uncertain
remind yourself you're a creator of life
not a manager of circumstances and I
hope this little trigger will remind you
that also what'll help you have this is
not just this video that you watched
here which may be watch it it'll be
helpful
maybe not it's up to
you but if you get the heart of what I'm
really sharing it leads to the end
understanding that we are really our
lives are reflection of our rituals you
know if somebody tells me this is their
dream this is their goal I said that's a
wonderful tell me your plan but more
importantly let me see your rituals and
we all have rituals what they know
they're not rituals equal results if
you're overweight it's because your
rituals just find out what they are and
change them your rituals are to get up
every morning and go to Starbucks and
have a mocha smoker or whatever the hell
it is you have you know and a bunch of
carbs and who everyone knows what it's
not hard to figure out your blood
Sugar's gonna be dropping and you're
looking for how to coffee a few hours
later that does a great life of energy
that's on fire that creates a place
where you're riding the roller coaster
of how much energy you have for now
there's an unlimited level of energy
with a different ritual when you start
out your day doing what I call really my
hour power of my 15 minutes to be
fulfilled so three or four days a week
five days a week it took five or ten or
fifteen minutes I want every now and
then you'll get so much momentum you'll
give yourself an hour an hour for
yourself an hour to connect to what
matters most and Howard to be grateful
an hour to get strong working out at
least 15 minutes I'm gonna tell you
it'll frame your life in a different
level and you'll find yourself driving
so take a look what rituals you have
that don't work and what might be some
new rituals like instead of focusing
what you don't have being truly grateful
for what you do have instead of focusing
on what you can't control
think what you can do right now to
participate in your own rescue not
waiting for someone else to do it
rituals define us and so my hope is
maybe these five things to thrive can
trigger you to get in a state where you
create some new rituals as they will
create the habits and the experiences of
the life that you desire and that you
deserve so that's my rant I hope it

Finance ministry laids out detailed plans of 2018 economic policy direction - Duration: 2:08.
And in order to achieve that goal set by the president, the government rolled out their
blue print for 2018.
This economic meeting was led by the Finance Minister.
Kim Ji-yeon has the details on what was discussed.
Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon said next year's economic policy direction will be focused
on increasing the quality of economic growth... and differentiated it from this year's policy
direction laid out in July, directed toward achieving a paradigm shift aimed at creating
new jobs and boosting income.
He said the government will reform the current support system for attracting investments...
in order to boost the number of jobs and innovative industries.
He also said the government will implement a tax exempt policy for entities of up to
10-point-3-thousand U.S. dollars per person when they newly hire employees... even if
they don't make facility investments.
It'll also exempt taxes for small-and-medium-sized companies that retain employment of women
that have returned from maternity leave.
The ministry says it'll run a one-on-one job matching service for one-thousand young prospective
workers to provide them with an opportunity to work at a quality job at SMEs for at least
three years.
The ministry also said it'll work with China and the U.S. to simplify the application process
for working visas in those countries.
It will also expand the number of new employees in the public sector next year by around 25-thousand
from this year's.
For those in the low income bracket... it'll provide a fund of nearly 2-point-8-billion
U.S. dollars to support the minimum wage increase next year... which was raised by nearly 16-and-a-half
percent from this year to seven dollars an hour.
It says it'll increase the unemployment allowance from the current 50-percent to 60-percent...
and increase public resident of around 190-thousand.
and to boost work-life balance, the ministry says it will advise public sector employees
to take a two-week vacation every year... as well as expand more substitute holidays.

hi everybody and welcome back to Relax My Dog! Today me and Milo are going to be
talking to you about what you can do if you have an anxious pet around new years
especially when you have fireworks going. Firstly I want to say I hope you
all had an amazing Christmas if you celebrate it and I hope you're all
getting ready for the New Year celebrations as well and to introduce
2018 with a bang as some of you guys may know me and Milo have been doing a
giveaway on this channel where we are going to be giving away a Petcube bites
Today we're going to be introducing the winner at the end of
this video so do stay tuned to find out if you are the lucky winner but for now
let's just get started with our top tips
Now the first thing to understand is that parties like for humans aren't for everyone especially for dogs
loud music shouts people having fun laughter anything like that can be
really really daunting for a dog who is very very anxious as this can actually
make your dog feel like they are under attack a little bit as there as that can make your
dog aware of everything around them and it can actually make them very very
scared and anxious and it's on these nights that dogs are more likely to run
away or to hide away from their owners. Okay so tip number one that you may want
to do is to confine your pet. Do they have a favorite hiding place? Do they
have a crate they can go in? Do they have a particular area or room in your
house that they like to feel comfortable in? Because if so, that is probably the
perfect place for you to place your dog this will then it create a lot bit of
safety for your dog, a little bit of security that they are going to be okay
and that all the noises that they are hearing are absolutely fine; However they
it's important to understand that if they haven't grown up with a crate or a
cage that it can actually be quite stressful for them and it can make them
even more stressful than if they were not in a crate because they feel like
they are too confide in that particular area now tip. Now tip number two is to use music
to distract your pet make sure this is calming music or not for music or rock
music or anything that because that if your dog doesn't like that and that won't be
the best thing for you to use also make sure you are using a volume that is just
to distract the dog, don't make it super super loud because then it can be even
more stressful for your dog to listen to another thing is if your dog likes
watching TV maybe set them up in another room and put the TV
and that might help them a little bit more as well. Now tip number three is
something that Mylo lat absolutely loves because we do this regularly if we are
going to listen to fireworks or anything like that and that is to give them quite
a lot of exercise whether that is going for walks or just playing out in the
garden or throwing a ball for him he absolutely loves that and it does really
really tire him out so make sure you are exercising your dog as much as possible
so when they get in the house they'll just go straight to sleep
and they are completely relaxed for the whole night and they don't have enough
energy to become stressful then. Now number four is another great one that
Mylo absolutely loves - and that is to just distract your pet from whatever's
going on this it can be by using food puzzles like the lot of stuff toys you
can get where your stuff treats in there and they could just be distracted for
hours on end or introducing some new toys that again it can keep your dog
distracted or anything else that you know will distract your dog Milo has
recently become absolutely addicted to socks so we could just give him some socks
and he will be gone for hours now number five is one that can be used obviously
as a last resort and that is by dropping your dog off with family or friends
obviously if a dog is super super anxious around laughter fireworks
anything around the New Year scene then it might be a good idea to drop them off
with friends or family just somewhere you know aren't
celebrating as much as you are at your house. Now if you are going away when you

I'm your host Chris Chappell.
In our top story,
North Korea has successfully completed another missile test.
According to the totally unbiased reporting from state-run media,
it's capable of striking
"anywhere in whole US mainland."
But don't worry,
because US President Donald Trump
still has a good bromance going on with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
After a phone call,
new sanctions are on the way!
But there's one thing the Chinese regime
is still exporting to North Korea: refugees.
Like one mother and son who were recently caught
attempting to flee North Korea.
They crossed the border into China,
ultimately on their way to South Korea.
That's where the husband/father is waiting
after himself fleeing in 2015.
His name is Lee,
and he's sent a message to Xi Jinping
begging him to save his family.
"When defectors are caught trying to go to South Korea,
Lee tells me they're sent to political camps,
and never leave.
From what I know, in 2–3 years,
maybe less, you'll wither to death."
The Chinese regime should know how wrong that is!
They've been able to keep prisoners alive
in Chinese forced labor camps for over a decade...
before they wither to death.
But not wanting to be outdone by North Korea,
either in cruelty or missile technology,
the Chinese regime is close to rolling out
its own ballistic missile capable of striking anywhere in the world.
They even broadcast a series of videos on state-run TV about it.
But don't worry.
The Chinese Communist Party is committed to world peace.
They only kill innocent people inside China.
Speaking of people inside China,
a Chinese court this week sentenced
a Taiwanese activist to five years in prison.
We talked about Lee Ming-che back in September.
Well this week he was found guilty of "subverting state power"
by promoting dangerous ideas in group messaging chats.
Ideas like like multi-party democracy.
His sentence has the bonus effect
of striking fear into the hearts of Chinese activists
and the people of Taiwan in general.
Instead of promoting multi-party democracy,
what Lee should have done,
is promote the system they already have in mainland China,
which is...multi-party cooperation.
You see, while China has eight political parties
other than the Chinese Communist Party,
the CCP is "the sole party exercising political leadership
in this system of multi-party cooperation."
Cooperation means that all the parties are equal.
The CCP is just more equal than everyone else.
And besides, everyone knows that Chinese people
aren't ready for democracy!
Unless they live in Taiwan…
And apparently Chinese people aren't ready
for violent video games, either.
That's why hit South Korean multiplayer shooter
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, or PUBG,
is coming to China...
with Chinese characteristics.
Chinese tech giant Tencent has bought the rights
to bring PUBG to China.
And they've agreed to make some changes
to the original South Korean version.
Chinese censors had said the game was
"too violent and said it would likely be blocked
because it 'severely deviates from socialist core values.'"
But what could be more in line with socialist core values
than violence and senseless killing?
Maybe they can just slap some
Communist Party flags in the background,
and then it will be ok.
That's at least what another video game company in China did.
I guess the blood just blends in.
And speaking of sticking to core values,
a Chinese scholar is criticizing India
for doing military drills in the Indian Ocean.
He says, "It should be stressed that
the Indian Ocean belongs to all mankind,
and India's actions are an attempt to
turn the ocean into India's territorial waters,
which is a violation of International Law."
All the world's oceans froze over in irony.
And the Trump Administration is making another move
against the Chinese regime for unfair trade practices.
The Commerce Department has officially launched
a probe into China's aluminum exports to the US.
If China is found to be dumping at prices
that are artificially low,
the US could impose tariffs.
And it's not just the US that's having trade trouble with China.
A group of German businesses is warning
that some German companies may pull out of China.
Why?
Because of "a request from the ruling Communist Party
to set up cells in their companies."
Apparently, there are already more than 100,000 foreign-invested companies in China
that have a Party secretary embedded within their staff.
It's something the Communist Party requires.
But hey, who doesn't want a Party in their company?
Oh, wait.
The Germans don't.
That actually makes sense.

Liverpool returned to winning ways at Anfield with a thumping victory over Swansea in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.

Jurgen Klopp made four changes to the starting lineup which drew at Arsenalrecently, with one of those enforced due to Jordan Henderson's injury.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gini Wijnaldum, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matipall came into the side, with Philippe Coutinho—captain on the day—pushed forward to the left of the attack.
Meanwhile Simon Mignolet kept his place in goal despite a collection of mistakes in his last outing against Arsenal.
Swansea, under the guidance of temporary boss Leon Britton, opted for Oliver McBurnie to lead the attacking line, with Tammy Abraham on the bench and Wilfried Bony absent.
Mignolet given the nod in goal Oxlade-Chamberlain replaces Mane, Matip back from injury Coutinho stunner opens scoring on his 200th appearance Firmino scores 15th and 16th of the season Alexander-Arnold batters in his first league goal Oxlade-Chamberlain wraps up the win.
Liverpool quickly got into their stride to dominate possession, starting in a 4-3-3 shape but quickly seeking to free Mohamed Salah central at every opportunity.
It didn't take long for the first chance on goal to crop up—and it was a telling one.
Roberto Firmino won the ball back in midfield, fed it to Salah and his first-time pass found Philipe Coutinho in space.
The No. 10 took a touch and immediately bent an unstoppable shot into the far top corner to give the Reds the lead.
Swansea mounted a counter of their own as they sought to mount a quick response, but a tame Wayne Routledge header produced a straight-forward save for Mignolet.
Chances came quickly for Liverpool thereafter; Firmino sat down centre-back Federico Fernandez only for his cross to be blocked, before Coutinho opened the Swansea defence again and teed up Andrew Robertson for an angled shot wide.
Swansea tried to work their way back into the match with some controlled possession of their own, but it was all in deep areas—nowhere where they could get numbers into dangerous positions and hurt the Reds.
Emre Can was next to try his luck, driving forward and curling a shot on target, as Swansea continued to give the ball away in their own half.
The Reds continued to press for a second goal, with Salah seeing a shot blocked, Oxlade-Chamberlain hammering an effort well over and Firmino striking wide from 25 yards as the half-hour mark approached.
Instead of getting closer to extending their lead though, Liverpool became sloppy in their play and slow in their tempo as half time neared.
Ragnar Klavan, impressive in the first half, had to make a big block on McBurnie to deny a shock equaliser eight minutes before the break.
It sparked the Reds back into action, but the biggest chance to extend their lead was spurned right on 45 minutes—Firmino firing wide when clear on goal after Salah's through-pass.
After half time the first chance fell the way of the Egyptian, but his left-footed curler was placed too soft and too central.
Just as in the first half though, Liverpool found the net soon after kick-off.
This time Coutinho's free-kick delivery was met by Firmino, full on the volley at the far post, and he controlled his finish past Lukasz Fabianski for 2-0.
Salah then went close twice in 30 seconds, steering a low shot wide after another clever Coutinho free-kick before being blocked one-on-one by the keeper.
Just after the hour though, Liverpool ended the game as a contest with two goals in a minute.
First Robertson's cross was only half-cleared, with fellow full-back Alexander-Arnold racing in to win possession and thunder in first league goal off the crossbar.
Moments later another quick transition saw Salah freed in the box and he rolled it across for Firmino to tap home a no-look finish for 4-0.
Jurgen Klopp acted decisively at that point, subbing off Firmino and Salah for Dominic Solanke and Adam Lallana for much-needed game time.
James Milneralso replaced Robertson for the last 15 minutes, with the left-back having been required to play every game of late.
Liverpool comfortably saw out the remainder of the game and there was even time for a late Oxlade-Chamberlain fifth, lobbing a finish into the far corner after more shambolic defending.
The result saw the Reds jump back up to fourth, above Tottenham, with the three points on Boxing Day.

Hi guys! Welcome back to the channel it's Claire and Rags and it is nearly
New Year's Eve which means there's going to be a lot of celebration but while
this is a really fun time of year for us we do need to remember that can be quite
stressful for our pets so Rags and I are going to be sharing with you some
tips on your cats protocols, parties and New Year's Eve and at the end of the
vlog we are going to be announcing the winner of the petcube competition so
stay tuned so if you're going away or going out for New Year's leaving in your
pet at home you need to remember that there may be things going around your
home that include things like fireworks and noises flushes bangs and that kind
of thing and your cat is gonna find this quite stressful and scary so make sure
that your cat is shut away in a room somewhere that is quiet somewhere that
is comfortable and warm and somewhere that has water at their food and their
litter box make sure that all the curtains are closed as to make things
like fireworks sound a little bit more dollar and make sure that they don't get
scared by any flashes or bangs or anything like that now if you're staying
home over the New Year's Eve having people over remember that your cat might not
like all the extra people in their house now Ragsy is quite social when it comes
to people that she knows so she will probably spend an hour or two
downstairs with everybody sort of going around and getting fussed for everybody
but she does have a limit as most cats do especially if your cat is a
particularly shy one make sure that that somewhere that your cat can retire to
very easily and it's away from all the commotion also let your guests know that
you do have a cat in the house and that you do have a safe little space either
upstairs or somewhere else in the house as long as they're aware that that's
where their cat goes when they want to be on their own then your guest should
know that they're not to bother it when it's in there. Now when it comes to
fireworks the most important thing to know is that your cat should be shutting
doors it is not safe for a cat to be outside when there's things like
fireworks going off now if you're away over New Year's Eve and there's going to
be fireworks around your home make sure that you have all curtains in your house
shut as to dull any noises from outside as before make sure that is somewhere
that your cat feels safe in so this could just be one room that's got
food water and nice comfy bed for your cat try putting on the radio to sort of
drown out any firework noises or some of my relax my cat tracks specifically for
fireworks they work wonders. Now if you are having fireworks at your own home
on New Year's Eve make sure first of all that your cat is indoors and if
you're going to be setting them off in your own backyard
make sure that the room that your cat is being shut away in is on the opposite
side of the house this is the kindest thing you can do as it will lessen the
noises and all the lights and everything that your cat can see and hear
now with regards to the food a drink especially if you're going to your way over New
Year's Eve overnight you have to make sure that your cat is catered for now I
understand that it's a very busy and exciting time of year but you do need to
remember that your cat is being looked after make sure if you're staying
overnight especially that they have enough food cats can be quite good at
being grazes so and leaving food out for them every day sometimes works
some are more prone to overeating than others. I will not name names but just for one night
should be okay so make sure that you either your cat has enough food left or
them out or you have someone popping by and maybe a relative or neighbor to give
them their meals and make sure that they have enough water now if you're having
people over for New Year's Eve you are probably going to be having a lot of party
food, party drinks and that kind of thing and a lot of these things are not
suitable for your cat things like certain fruits certain sweet things
fatty foods and especially alcohol - these things should not be you than any reach
of your cat so if you have a party food table make sure that it is somewhere
that your cat cannot get to and keep a sharp lookout for a cat trying to steal
some food off it - she's done that a couple of times. She particularly likes the pigs in blankets, don't you? You little sneak!
Just make sure that all your guests know not to feed the cat and not to get silly
with it if they have had a little bit to drink. Thanks guys, I hope that these tips

Huawei Honor 9 Camera Review | Photo & Video Samples - Duration: 4:49.

of this beautiful phone on our channel,
but we didn't pay too much attention to the camera performance.
So, let's see the specs for the cameras,
and move on with the photo and video samples.
The front camera is an 8mp sensor with f/2.0 aperture,
and full hd video recording at 30fps.
On the back we have two 12mp lenses with f/2.2 aperture,
dual LED flash, hybrid zoom, autofocus,
and 4k video recording @ 30fps.
The camera app is full of features
just like on every Huawei phone these days.
This is a perfect phone
for those who like to play with all this modes and options.
Let's see the samples now,
starting with the front camera video.
The light was pretty harsh,
but there are no crushed shadows
or blown-out highlights here,
the image is sharp and pretty well stabilized,
so VLOGing is not a problem with this phone.
The back camera also has solid stabilization,
it's a bit darker than the front camera
but the colors are true to life,
the video is sharp without too much artefacts.
Slow motion video is decent, @120fps with full hd,
or 720p @240fps.
For photos, let's start with the selfies.
You have the bokeh effect and beauty mode available,
and the photos come out pretty well,
but even with the beauty effect off,
the face is still a bit processed.
I was moving while taking this selfie,
but the photo is ok,
the blurring of the background is not the most precise,
and the lens flare kinda ruined this photo,
but the sun was very bright in the background.
The wide aperture mode works better for the main camera
With the right scenery, and the good lightning,
photos look amazing!
This one is not as good,
but I was also walking while taking this photo.
This mode doesn't just work for portraits,
and you can adjust the amount of blur
before and after taking the photo.
Some might argue that a zoom lens is a better option
than a monochrome that Huawei uses,
but the amount of details,
the contrast,
the tone,
the artistic look of these B&W photos,
s just amazing!
And there is a hybrid zoom option available
which works pretty well,
so another plus for Huawei!
The dynamic range is very good,
and the colours are not oversaturated,
also not flat but pretty natural-looking!
In a completely dark room,
you can barely see me in the left photo,
but on the right I used a screen flash,
and the photo I got is pretty good for the given scenario.
For the main camera the situation is similar,
the LED flash does the job,
but I prefer to use the PRO mode,
and play with the exposure to get some
great shots in very dark situations!
Only your creativity is the limit!
Let me just mention the 3D panorama mode,
which is a nice way to have fun,
for example with VR glasses,
otherwise, 2D panoramas are enough for me.
