Welcome back to AppleFrendly.
One of my subscriber asked me to suggest an app for editing Instagram Photos with minimum efforts.
So, the app I'm going to recommend is 'MIX'
It's a free app.
You can checkout the App download links in the description below.
So, let's get started!
So, when you launch the app, this is the App interface you should see.
Now, you need to tap this little 'Edit' Button.
Now select the photo you want to edit for Instagram from your Camera Roll.
This should open up the new interface.
At the bottom of it, you'll find some amazing filters.
Just tap on any category to reveal more options
and select the one that makes your photo more appealing.
So, this is how my Instagram photo looks with this particular filter.
And if you're not happy with any particular filter, just tap this + button.
And you'll see your photo with all the available filter effects at once.
Just amazing!
You can scroll through all the filters and select the one that you'll like.
I'll select my favorite filter, that is SUMMER for this demo purpose.
In most of the cases, you should be Okay with any Filter selection of your choice
and you don't need to do any further adjustments.
You can simply save your photo and upload it to Instagram.
But in case, if you want to add some more effects to your Instagram photo,
let me quickly show you how you can do that with minimum tools.
You can tap this 'Adjustment' option and you should find this 'Shadows' tool.
you can tap this option
and drag the slider to the right.
And you should see the shadows being removed from your Instagram Photo.
I love this tool!
Now, you can tap on the photo to see the original photo as against the updated one.
And as you can see there is significantly a big difference with just a Filter and a Shadow effect.
Now, you've got many other tools for editing.
If you wish, you can use them.
I'll go through the important ones quickly.
Like, you can apply Effects
Skin Effects,
Selfie Effects
and many more of such categories.
And then, you've got various Textures to apply to your Instagram photo.
I'll select any random one for this demo purpose.
And then, you can apply some Blur effect.
I'll select this Circular icon,
tap on the face
and you can change the Blur intensity
using the slider.
I'll keep it at minimum level.
Now, you've got few more options to play with the color of the photo.
Like this Curve option.
I'll select the Blue color.
I'll hold the curve in the center and stretch it a bit to the left to make the Blue color
more prominent in the Photo.
And then, you've got some more options like HSL,
Split Toning and Color Balance to play with the color of the Photo.
We don't need them for this demo purpose.
So finally, when you're done editing your Instagram photo,
you can tap to see the final with the color of the Photo.
as against the original Photo.
And if you're happy with it, simply tap 'Save' on the top right hand corner.
Now, you're Photo is saved to Camera Roll. you can also share this picture directly
on your social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from this app itself.
But, we will not do that right now.
We will go and see our Photo in the Photos App.
So now, when you launch Photos App.
Here is the old Photo
and this is the edited one.
Now, you can see the difference between the Photo we shot on iPhone
and the one edited with MIX app.
Pretty awesome, right?
So, just to summarize the sequence of editing, I used Filter,
then I removed Shadows from the Photo.
Then I added Texture and some Blur effects.
And finally, we changed the CURVE to make the Blue color more prominent.
So, that's how easy it is to edit Instagram Photos on iPhone using this MIX app.
