UNESCO postpones listing of 'comfort women' documents for archive preservation - Duration: 2:20.

UNESCO is postponing a decision on listing documents related to Japan's sexual enslavement

of Korean women... in its Memory of the World Register.

The Seoul's government has expressed regret over the move, while Tokyo described it as

an "appropriate response."

Lee Ji-won has the full story.

UNESCO'S International Advisory Committee, in France, on Monday local time, postponed

listing the "comfort women" documents... for preservation in its Memory of the World Archive.

To this, the Korean government reiterated its stance that the documents should be preserved.

(Korean) "The government expresses its regret over

the IAC's recommendation and the decision by its secretary general.

We oppose any remarks or actions that discourage speaking the truth about Japan's wartime sexual

slavery."

This comes as more than 2,700 records chronicling Japan's wartime sexual slavery of an estimated

200-thousand women all across Asia... had been submitted to UNESCO by 9 countries,...

including South Korea, China and Taiwan.

However, after a four-day deliberation period... to assess the historical and cultural significance

of the documents,...

UNESCO decided to postpone the listing... for "pending dialogue" between the two sides.

In response, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said he believes UNESCO's decision

to encourage dialogue and prevent further diplomatic tensions between the countries

is very appropriate.

But many critics suspect... that the decision was influenced by strong opposition from Japan,...

which is a major UNESCO donor.

With Japan failing to pay the roughly 10 percent of the annual budget it normally contributes,...

critics say the organization was under pressure.

UNESCO's IAC meets only once every two years.

And starting in 2019, it will be able to postpone decisions for up to four years, casting doubt

on when, if ever, the 'comfort women' records can be listed in the Memory of the World archive.

Meanwhile, several other historical documents have been added to the register,... including

centuries-old diplomatic records... relayed by Korean envoys in Japan, and royal seals

used by the Chosun Dynasty.

Jeep Wrangler Dirty Dog 4x4 Front, Rear & Back Sun Screen (2007-2017 JK 4 Door) Review & Install - Duration: 5:38.

We all love driving without our top on our Jeeps in the summer, but sometimes it can

get too hot and too sunny, leaving you stuck with your top on.

That is I'm happy to say until now.

This full-screen kit by Dirty Dog is just for you if you have a four-door JK and want

that open-air driving experience without being roasted.

This top will protect you from the sun and its very harmful UV rays, making sunburn and

a fading interior two less things to worry about when you have your top down.

With that, the mesh will still keep the air flowing and keep the cabin environment cooler.

Now, to mention, this will keep the glare out of your eyes from front to back, making

you more comfortable when you're driving.

Since this only attaches with some buckles and straps and bungee cords it's a very easy

one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and I'll go more into the install in

just a bit.

The screen on this is very similar to other mesh tops that we offer.

This is a black UV protective fabric that will keep up to 70% of sunlight and UV rays

out.

Even though it stops 70% of the sunlight, this mesh will still allow light and air through,

still keeping a comfortable driving experience.

Like I said, this attaches to the roll bar with heavy-duty nylon straps and buckles as

well as a couple bungee cords, so this makes it really easy to install and uninstall, and

you can easily adjust the tension and positioning whenever you'd like.

Because this does not need a header assembly like other options that we offer on the site,

this works in conjunction with your soft top or your hard top, so you can keep this on

all the time.

What I really like about this sunscreen combination is that Dirty Dog includes a rear cargo screen

that wraps all the way around the rear roll bar.

At this time we don't offer any other mesh tops that reach all the way back down to the

tailgate to shave the whole cargo area.

Most all other tops cover only half of that cargo space.

This is a nice modular set up so you can take off or keep on whatever piece you would like

without affecting any other screens.

You can even purchase all of them separately or in different combinations instead of this

one that I have here, if you're set on a particular configuration and if you wanna save a little

cash.

And on that note, this full kit cost right around $180 for the front seat, back seat

and rear cargo cover area.

Now, compared to other options, this is a little higher priced than some other mesh

tops.

Keep in mind this is still not the most expensive option that we offer and this comes with a

rear cargo cover giving the mesh top more to offer for a relatively lesser price.

Other less expensive options as you can expect will not cover the full cargo area, they are

not modular and they're gonna be more of a quick and simple solution to get that sun

protection.

Speaking of the modular setup, like I said before, this is offered in a couple different

combinations.

You can get the front, back and rear in a full kit or they're available separately.

The front and back are offered together as well and Dirty Dog has an option for the front

and back connected like a traditional mesh top.

This gives you options so you don't have to fully commit to a full kit and the screen

options are great if you don't want to buy all of the pieces together at the same time.

Each piece is around $70 by itself, so keep in mind that it will be about $30 more in

the long run when buying them all separately.

If you know Dirty Dog then you know that they make good quality products that will last

for a long time.

For a premium sunscreen that gives you maximum protection and a ton of options, I definitely

think that this is worth the money.

Like I said before this is a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter

because all the install consists of are a bunch of straps.

You won't need any tools or a header to get this installed and it should take you about

30 minutes to get everything all hooked up.

I would start with the front portion first with the front snaps on each of the footmen

loops on the windshield.

Then for the front corner straps, you can wrap it around the roll bar and hook the bungee

cord onto the hole in the inside of the A-pillar.

Moving to the back, feed the straps between the roll bar and the sound bar down and around

the roll bar securing it with the side ladder lock.

The same goes for the side just wrap the straps around the roll bar and through the ladder

lock.

For the rear, you're going to do the same thing that you just did for the front, you're

just going to do it in reverse.

You feed the front straps through the sound bar and the cross bar and attach them through

the ladder locks, and do the same for the sides, and then for the rear straps just wrap

them around the rear cross bar and secure them down by another ladder lock.

Lastly, for the back screen, you're gonna wrap the front straps around the rear cross

bar just like the back straps on the rear screen, and hook the bottom two bungees into

the hole in the body of the Jeep.

You can tighten everything and adjust everything as needed when it's all attached.

So, if you're looking for some sun protection in your Ford or JK, this sunscreen by Dirty

Dog is a great option to check out.

Pres. Moon calls N. Korea's participation in 2018 Olympics the start of Peninsula's peace and ... - Duration: 2:33.

President Moon Jae-in spoke at the general meeting of the National Unification Advisory

Council today.

Placing emphasis on a peaceful reunification of the divided nation, the liberal leader

also highlighted the upcoming 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics as an important event to promote

peace on the Peninsula..

Hwang Hojun shares with us his remarks.

President Moon reaffirmed Tuesday that his invitation to North Korea to participate in

the upcoming Pyeongchang Winter Olympics is still standing,... and urged the regime to

choose the path of peace.

(KOREAN) "The door to Pyeongchang, the road to peace

are open even to North Korea.

North Korea taking that one step toward Pyeongchang would represent massive progress toward peace,

like nothing it could hope to gain even from hundreds of missiles."

He said the two Koreas taking the opportunity to come together and meet the world would

make the host city a wellspring of peace and prosperity for the Peninsula, just like the

literal meaning of the city's name, Pyeongchang.

The President's remarks came during the general meeting of the National Unification Advisory

Council, the Presidential consultative body on the reunification of the two Koreas.

And with less than 100 days until the Olympic Flame reaches Pyeongchang, the meeting was

held at the Gangneung Ice Arena,... an indoor facility built specifically for the Games;

it was the first time the council has met outside of Seoul since it was launched in

1981.

To the 10-thousand people who attended,... composed of council members from home and

abroad, as well as leaders of the regional governments, the South Korean President asked

for their love and support for a successful Olympics.

President Moon also asserted once again that the Korean government should take and is taking

the lead in resolving issues on the Korean Peninsula.

He also called the council members ambassadors for peaceful reunification, and reemphasized

the government's firm principle and pursuit of peace, its ultimate goal.

(KOREAN) "Peace is a right that every Korean must

enjoy.

A peaceful Peninsula is the responsibility of us all.

Our destination is clear; it is a Korean Peninsula of peace and prosperity."

(STANDUP) President Moon reiterated that the road to

peaceful reunification and unity within South Korea are part of the same process.

And to achieve lasting peace, he asked the council members to listen to the public and

work to achieve a national consensus to that end.
