What's up YouTube let's talk about landing page marketing what are landing
pages and when should you be using them in your campaigns well the truth is you
should always use landing pages whether it's from organic results or paid
traffic you should really be using some sort of landing page you don't wanted to
send visitors to your homepage because then they get confused and they leave
but with paid traffic it's especially critical because you're paying for them
to click on your spun years on your link or your site's whatever it is so I have
a couple examples here on the left-hand side will see some Facebook examples of
ads on Facebook and how those work and how they look you're probably familiar
with those I'm sure you guys have some sort of Facebook account or have used it
before and then on the right side we can see some of these Google search results
and pay-per-click ads right so essentially when you go to Google or
Facebook we're gonna focus on Google right now both come in the back to
Facebook and a little bit but when you're running a campaign and AdWords
and you're purchasing keyword terms and you're spending money you're trying to
get conversions one of the critical aspects is to send them to a page that
converts them if you're spending money in these campaigns in these terms and
you're not actually converting visitors your Quality Score is going to go down
if they don't take an action your Quality Score is gonna go down and you
have to pay more money in Adwords bidding process right quality score is
critical to that and landing pages are one of the ways you can improve that
what are landing pages to look like right so here's an example of a simple
landing page maybe from Moz right what are they trying to get you to do letting
pages drive people to take an action the usually contain multiple CTAs or call to
actions as you can see here on this page they're using try it now and this is
just a above-the-fold example but I'm sure later on the page they have several
more options for their users to click and try it now another example would be
to sign up and put your email address in or sign up and put your password in or
sign up for free it's just one simple example and here's
one of the best ones I have found it's the cleanest I've seen but using example
of requesting a quote they want you to request a quote they want your name your
email your phone number and I'm sure if you scroll down more they'll show you
more examples of that and try to get you to drive that quote so what do these do
well if you had paid for this regular traffic you can send them to a blog post
what's the point of that the point of paying for your marketing is to get them
to eventually become a lead or convert them into a customer landing pages are
customized to those certain terms you're bidding on or the traffic you're trying
to acquire and pre selling them on why they should take an action it's critical
to your campaigns because if you're not doing this they're just gonna leave and
be confused visitors to your site that come in through ads they're very
impatient right if it's not immediately clear to someone what they have to do in
your website they're gonna leave and go somewhere else that's just how it is
when you're on a phone or you're browsing Facebook it's an interruption
for you to click an ad or if you're on Google and you're typing in a specific
keyword phrase they want an answer right now and you have to explain to them why
they should be taking this action and how it's gonna help them and what it's
gonna do for them these are all sales and marketing techniques but landing
page marketing is the most underutilized aspect of marketing I think I've seen
I've seen I've worked with several companies that are just bidding on
AdWords campaigns and not saying them to any kind of kind of landing page it's
really bad in their quality scores are tanking one way to improve that like I
said is to split test your landing pages and as we'll see in a second there's
several tools you can use to do this in landing pages they're not full websites
they're just a page and usually you can make several types of landing pages and
see which one converts the best this is called split testing this is a huge
factor of letting page marketing really what you want to do when you're split
testing is split test certain items maybe you'll change the text maybe on
this one will change the test the text from take the guesswork out your content
marketing strategy to you try out our new software now
whatever it is usually you want to try to keep the design a little similar and
just change small things once you find a winning template you can split test it
with another version of that so maybe you'll change button colors or text or
or background colors whatever that is that's a critical way to improve your
landing pages and using data to tell you which page you should be doing you might
like the design of one but your it might not convert as well as another version
so you have to use that kind of data to make these decisions especially when
you're spending large amounts of money on Adwords or Facebook whatever it is so
that's really the overview of landing page marketing but let's dive into some
real examples and look at some software we can use to build these landing pages
I'm going to let us I'm going to look up Atlanta dental whitening right and with
this term we can see there's four ads here and these are all dental companies
that are bidding on this phrase or something similar to it let's click on
the first one so as you can see here immediately when I'm brought to this
page I see I should schedule an appointment
your smile is brand is your brand let's make it remarkable I go down and I see
some more reasons why I should give them my business convenience payment options
they have comprehensive surface services and they have a digital office that's
interesting so I scroll down and they're showing me
reviews people who really like the service why it's important this is all
pre selling me on trying to get me a taking action now if I were them I would
have another button down here to schedule equipment and not just this one
up here but this is a good example of a landing page and as you can see the
ranking first which means their quality score is pretty hot now if we go down to
the second one
another good landing page request and appointments right here it's clear and I
can see people that work there why I would want to you know and get involved
with them I can call them I can see their hours the book of employment right
here this is all really good examples of what you should be doing let's look at
another example auto repair shop so let's go to you this
one Magnum collision center and here we see
I can immediately see that they offer a lifetime warranty manufacturer training
genuine OEM parts and then I didn't want me to get an estimate now
really they should be putting this estimate here the first thing you see
just you know small tip for them but it's an example here's another example
using attorneys so I thought did an estate lawyer Atlanta and we can see
different attorneys come up and request an appointment these are all landing
pages right they're sending me to a specific page to take an action and they
want my name my email my phone number and then their opt-in is I want to
protect my family that's really powerful you should always
use different kinds of words other than submit or enter you really want the your
CTAs to answer the question I want to Dada so in this case I want to protect
my family I want to schedule an appointment I want to book now whatever
that is so make sure when you're using these buttons don't overlook the text
you should be using on your landing pages and you can split test these
colors usually orange yellow greens those kind of colors are bright and
attract attention to the button so they get more clicks these are all things
that you can split test with a tool like run mounts Unbounce is a perfect example
of one of these landing page tools they're I think they're the first ones
that came out with this idea but they allow you to easily drag and drop
components split test add forms whatever you want to do as far as landing pages
ago you can do with Unbounce and they have like an awesome little
editor here you can change your text you can completely customize your your pages
and they also have a good template library here too for any type of
campaign that you want to run really it's great and then you can start within
their templates then you can edit it these are all mobile responsive as well
and they also tie into your CRMs which is great another one is instapage
something very similar as well they have the page builder optimization
drag-and-drop editors as you can see that they offer very similar very
similar idea and then there's another one I like to use is called click
funnels so click funnels is different in that they offer a complete funnel
building solution if you're not familiar with sales funnels and marketing funnels
I will link down to the one of my videos on that in the description or I'll link
it up here and the video just click on that but what basically what a funnel is
is it's a series of landing pages or steps that you want your customers to
take when they come to your site so maybe the first one is you get a quote
and the next one is you upsell them on a instant appointment or you upsell them
on bumper repair whatever it is and this is all catered to your business I'm just
using examples I have in my head and then at the end of the process you
capture some information and depending on where they ended up in that process
you send them different information so maybe it's a phone call if they get to
Page or step 3 maybe it's an email when they register for the webinar maybe it's
a follow-up email if they didn't click on that these are all things that you
can have in a funnel instead of just one page a landing page refers to just one
page whereas clickfunnels offers you the option to build entire funnels and
depending on what you're trying to do this might be too much it might be too
little it really depends on your specific use case and what you're trying
to do with your landing page marketing if you want to build an entire funnel I
would recommend click funnels you just want to stick to a cup of landing pages
to optimize your AdWords campaigns and quality scores I probably go has been
like Unbounce for instapage and I think there's there's a lot more of them
there's plenty of software out there that does this so in this example I've
been using Google Adwords but the same is true for any platform you're running
paid traffic to your using Facebook Ads if you're using Twitter ads LinkedIn ads
whatever it is that you're using to run paid traffic to even organic traffic you
should really consider implementing some sort of landing page for that campaign
alright so that wraps it up for the landing page marketing tutorial guys
