The weekend, huh? What is it good for? Playing Android games, of course! That's what we

specialise in, so we're going to recommend you a bunch of the best that came out this week.

We've got a new game from the excellent

Nitrome, a quirky blend of genres, and the latest episode in a chilling space drama.

We won't spoiler though, you'll have to watch on to learn more.

Meteorfall: Journeys takes the crown this week thanks to its masterful blending of two

of our favourite genres. You'll create a deck out of basic attack cards then set off

on an adventure. Along the way, you'll collect even more powerful cards but if you die, you

lose the lot. Sounds like fun to us!

Out There Chronicles: Episode Two continues the adventures of Darius, as he strives to

survive on a desolate purple desert planet. You should probably go and help him out.

Slime Pizza Nitrome's games always feel super fun to

play, and Slime Pizza is no different. It's basically a Metroidvania in which you fling

your slime around a variety of clever levels, collecting its lost pizza. Heartwarming stuff.

Four Last Things Here's an interesting one. Four Last Things is

a traditional point and click adventure, except it takes place within paintings that take

inspiration from the Renaissance era. Definitely worth a look.

Block Quest Maker Move over, Mario Maker, a new sheriff's

in town. Meet Block Quest Maker, a level making tool that uses the assets from the

excellent Block Quest. Build your very own dungeon in this excellent creator.

Knight Maker We had to include Knight Maker on this list

because it's absolutely bonkers. You run a smith with the help of a swordstress PR

person, who you're also dating. Smith weapons, go on chests, and chat up an employee.

Soul Magic Online

Wrapping things up this week is a brand new MMORPG on Android. This one is isometric,

and perfect playing on your phone because it plays in portrait.

Samsung already announced the official unveiling date for the Galaxy S9 duo - it will take place on February 25.

We also saw leaked press images, suggesting the new phones will look largely similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+.

Latest information, coming from South Korea reveals that not only looks, but prices are also really close

the Samsung Galaxy S9 will cost KRW950,000, while the Plus-sized variant will be KRW990,000.

For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S8 cost KRW935,000 (around $875) when launched.

Bear in mind that Samsung tags its products more expensive at the domestic scene,

so the Samsung Galaxy S9 will likely be around $800, while the Galaxy S9+ will hardly surpass the $900 barrier on the global scene.

Pre-orders in South Korea will begin on March 2, just five days after the official launch in Barcelona

The phones will be shipped six days later, on March 8, with market availability expected in the following days.

The waiting period is way shorter than last year - the launch was postponed with a month

and pre-orders took two-three weeks until the Galaxy S8 finally started arriving mid-April.

2018's early arrival is also a step ahead of competitors

like Huawei and LG who decided to skip the launch of their flagship, later joined by HTC.

How to play PC VR (HTC Vive) games with Google Cardboard - VRidge Basic Tutorial - Duration: 3:34.

Hello. In this tutorial we will show you how to play

PC virtual reality games with your phone

by using VRidge technology.

VRidge is a software that makes your PC think

that your phone is an HTC Vive headset

allowing you to play most of PC virtual reality games.

To begin, go to RIFTCAT.COM to download

and install RiftCat client on your PC

The installation process is fairly easy and is similar

to any other Windows program installation.

After successful installation, launch RiftCat client

You will see a connection window

First - you will need to select a VRidge

version that you want to use. Pick the version

appropriate for your phone and install it.

With this guide - we will continue with standard Android version available

on Google Play. Launch the VRidge app on your phone.

We will now have to select a type of

connection that we want to use. We have two options:

WiFi and USB connection.

WiFi connection is wireless but it might be unstable

causing artifacts and lags without proper conditions

That's why for this type of connection a 5 GHz

WiFi router is recommended. Also, make sure

that your phone is connected to the same WiFi network that your PC is.

USB connection is the most stable

solution and is recommended when WiFi connection doesn't work properly.

To be able to use this connection, make sure to enable USB tethering on your phone

or your PC will not be able to detect it.

We also recommend to disable cellular data on your phone

during the connection as your PC

might start to use your phone Internet.

After choosing your connection type and launching the VRidge app

RiftCat will detect your phone. Confirm it and

both applications will state that they are connected

VRidge is now ready.

The final step is to get SteamVR running

SteamVR is a public standard for virtual reality games that is a part

of Steam platform. It is required to run nearly all VR games.

Press the Play button at the top of the RiftCat application window.

If you do not have Steam program installed it will take you

to the Steam home page where you will be able to download it.

You will also have to login into Steam with your account.

If you already have Steam, the Play button will launch

SteamVR installation if it's not present.

The installation process is very simple

and shouldn't take a long time.

With Steam and SteamVR installed, the Play button will launch SteamVR.

If it's the first launch for SteamVR, you will have to run "Room Setup".

Launch room setup from within newly opened SteamVR window

by selecting "Run room setup" option.

In the room setup, choose "Standing Only" option.

If everything is working correctly, the headset status

will be marked as ready. Press the "next" button.

Turn your phone into a forward direction and press "calibrate center" button.

Finish the process by pressing "next" button.

On the next page, type in your body height in

centimeters to set the head elevation.

After doing so, press the "calibrate floor" button and wait for it to finish.

End this step with the "next" button.

Your room setup is done.

You can close "Room Setup" window with "Done" button.

SteamVR lobby will launch and you will see that VRidge started streaming it to your phone.

You are ready to play SteamVR games now.

Just put your phone into Google Cardboard or any other mobile

virtual reality headset that is compatible with your phone model

and launch any SteamVR game you'd like.

You can control the stream quality with the slider in RiftCat

application and enable or disable the sound streaming as well.
