Youtube daily May 27 2018

Hello everyone. Thanks for tuning in again. Last week I went through a ton of

new features and updates for the Google Home and the Google Assistant

that came to us from Google i/o 2018. What I want to do this week is I

actually want to go through some of the features or the updates or the products

that we're missing from Google Assistant or the Google Home. These are things that

I would like to see in the future and I'd love to hear what you'd

like to see in the future. Now what we saw last week from Google at Google i/o 2018

was stunning. Google Duplex was an incredible feature, but you know on top

of that what I had hoped I would see are a couple of new devices from Google. They

talked about the smart display devices or the Google Home display devices. Those

are fantastic, don't get me wrong I want to see those. But what I didn't see was

an outdoor speaker or an outdoor device. This is what I'd like to see from Google

in the near future. We should be able to take one of our Google Home devices outside and

it should be portable. If we wanted to or it should be a lot like outdoor speakers

that are already available on the market, just with the capability of having a

Google Assistant on board. Something else that I feel was a little bit missing, and

we've seen some of these products from other makers where they have the battery

that attaches basically to the base of your Google Home, and then you can take

it and it becomes a portable speaker. I'd like to see that coming out from Google.

The reason I say that is again, I want to be able to head outside with

my device. I want my music outside and I want it to be capable of connecting and

using my phone cell phone connection to do everything that I wanted to do. That

would also allow me to take it in a car, maybe power it in different ways that

way. Something else that I expected and maybe this is expecting a little bit too

much. Maybe this is something that has to come from the Nest side of Google but

the different sensors that I have seen. We see in the Samsung

SmartThings, they have a motion sensor

they have door sensors, they have those kinds of things.

Even just a simple motion sensor or a simple light sensor attached to your

Google Home would allow a lot of different automation to come and and be

a part. You could you can attach that to Routines. You could attach that to all

kinds of functionality, and using the mic to sense more than just your voice would

also be beneficial in this regard. On that note we've heard from

Amazon that they're building a robot that they would hopefully integrate with

a version of Alexa. It could follow you around the home. We've heard from

Roomba that they have plans to map your home and be able to follow you or know

where you are in the home. We haven't heard anything from Google in regards to

mobility or moving around your home or being able to do more with your home. Now

what we did see a few weeks ago, and I talked about this a few weeks ago from

one of the filings that Google made a number of years ago in terms of a patent,

they have plans to use cameras to basically map your house and pick out

all kinds of options or objects and do those kinds of things. However, we still

haven't heard from them how they would implement that and give you more

automation capability, or how they would handle some mobility within

their device or create a device with some mobility. One thing I don't think

we've quite seen from Google yet in their Google Assistant is the capability

of interacting with really any app. I think when I heard the App Actions

feature being added to Android P, we're starting to get closer. Where you could

speak with Google Assistant and just ask for a specific action within any

app. It wouldn't necessarily have to have its own app within the Google

Assistant, within their whole shop there. That's what I'd like to see coming, it's

a little bit of a deeper grab for them to go out, look through your phone, or

look through the device that your you're using at the

moment. Whether that's a tablet or a phone and pull that application out. Then go

to the action that you're hoping for or at least try and get you there through a

command through your Google Assistant. So I'd like to see that little bit of

deeper automation within the Google Assistant before I'm going to use that

on a daily basis on my phone. One other thing that I haven't seen come out from

Google. They're really not keeping up with Amazon on the side of

automobiles or vehicles. You know, they just don't have an option for you in the

car that's really strong right now. Amazon has a few options that are a

little bit better. They've also been integrated into more vehicles at this

point. All right, so like I said go ahead and let me know in the comments down

below what features you'd like to see coming from Google related to their

Google Home or their Google Assistant. I'd love to hear what thoughts you guys

have it always amazes me what you are thinking about in terms of home

automation or even just personal automation. Thanks for watching everyone.

We'll see you next time.

you

Cleveland Browns Safety Donte Whitner Talks Growing Up In The Land | BLX - Duration: 3:43.

(chill electronic music)

- Right now, we standing at 3689 East 144th Street,

Kinsman, inner city Cleveland,

Ohio, you know, urban America.

Now this is the house, you know, no matter wherever

I go in the world, anything I do,

this is the house that I always remember.

So many birthday parties in that backyard.

The tool shed back there, my grand daddy

tell you to get off his grass and get out of his yard

or he gon' get his gun, it's everything.

It's everything to me, it still is.

It's hard to come by and see this,

especially this place looking like this.

And when I lived here, I thought this was the biggest

house in America; I didn't know anything else.

I just knew everybody was gonna be here,

you know, we can afford to have 30 people sleepin' in here.

And you don't really know the struggles

and the pain and what really goes on.

But you know, when you get older and you get a chance

to look back, it helps you, so that's how it shaped me.

It shaped me and let me know that no matter

how bad it is, it can't be as bad as this.

(RnB instrumental)

Glenville, this high school was top notch.

I know we don't have much, but you know when you play

Glenville, you know they gon' be ready in all sports.

Some of the best athletes have come out of this school,

you know, it's not even just basketball.

You had guys that were waitin' from football

and couldn't wait to get to basketball and get on the court

and you know, we had a lot of fun in this gym.

It was a lot of hard work put in on this court right here.

(basket swoosh)

- Hey don't, hey, we gotta hit at least one man!

(swoosh) Hey, I told 'em; pull this out, whoa.

- Hit you right there. - I would throw it away.

- What we lookin' at, my senior photo,

and it's more than like a brotherhood,

and it's like when you come up and and it's like,

we all struggled together and we should be out there

on that football field 'til the lights went out

practicing on gravel with no trainers, no nothing.

And that was really the message: we have to do this

to get out of where we come from.

(house music)

Through these doors, we'll emerge leaders.

And this is the way, this is it, yeah?

Uh huh, look at this; this is what we had to use

to get to what we had; it ain't much, but we made it work.

You know, it used to be 50-60 guys in this one little thing.

You know, we had heart, determination to go and make it,

so that's all you really need.

(house music)

Game day around here was like, you know, nothing else.

We were really about trying to intimidate people,

pretty much, and we would sneak up on a team,

maybe if the game is supposed to start in two minutes,

we would come through with maybe a minute left,

and you would just hear us screamin' and yellin'

and "Ville" and "Ville" and clappin' and chattin'

and come through those, back there and come out here

and do what we had to do, so, you know,

games were crazy around here; everybody in this neighborhood

all of this would be packed, that would be packed.

You know, game day was just a beautiful thing around here.

(house music)

You know, being a Brown means everything to me,

because I can come to places like this

and see, you know, if I'm having a bad day,

I can drive down here or, you know, I can see my family.

It hurts to lose, you know, it hurts

even more when you're from a place.

I really have to do everything I can to make sure

that we win, before I retire I have to,

because this means everything to me.

Like I want to win here in Cleveland and that's my passion,

and I'm passionate about Cleveland,

I'm passionate about this team.

BREAKING: Hillary Vying For HUGE Power Position At Facebook, Will Give Up Politics For It - Duration: 5:26.

BREAKING: Hillary Vying For HUGE Power Position At Facebook, Will Give Up Politics For It.

Former presidential nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been on the paid

speaking circuit since she lost the 2016 presidential election.

Not surprising considering that former president and first lady Barack & Michelle Obama have

been doing the same exact thing.

However, it is what she has been saying while she is doing it that is raising eyebrows.

Specifically, what Clinton said about Facebook.

Breitbart News reported the following,

"Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she would like to be CEO of Facebook.

Speaking to an audience at Harvard University, alongside Massachusetts Attorney General Maura

Healey, Clinton was asked what company, if any, she would like to be CEO of.

Clinton said she made Facebook her choice because the social media giant is the "biggest

news platform in the world."

"We can listen to really brilliant, experienced writers like David Ignatius and try to keep

up with the news," continued Clinton "But most people in our country get their news,

true or not, from Facebook."

Clinton went on to talk about Facebook's efforts to limit the reach of anti-establishment

news sources on Facebook.

The company has presented this as a politically neutral crusade against "fake news," but

the results of the social network's recent changes show that the mainstream media's

reach on the platform has soared while conservative and anti-establishment media has fallen.

"Facebook is trying to take on some of the unexpected consequences of their business

model, and I for one hope they get it right because it really is critical to our democracy

that people get accurate information on which to make decisions."

It would make sense why she wants to work for Facebook considering the fact that Facebook

has gotten scrutiny lately for their shady business deals.

It is the same reason why their founder Mark Zuckerberg had to go testify before Congress

a month ago to discuss why they are doing to combat censorship and tracking of their

clients.

Newsweek reported the following about how badly Facebook has been doing lately,

"In April, Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg was grilled by senators over the use of the

platform by Russian trolls spreading disinformation during the 2016 presidential election, much

of it critical of Clinton.

Zuckerberg has said he supports legislation designed to clamp down on Russian political

ads on the site.

On Tuesday, Zuckerberg was questioned by European Parliament lawmakers over the platform's

data privacy policy, following revelations that firm London Cambridge Analytica, a client

of Donald Trump's election campaign, had harvested information about millions of users

for targeted propaganda.

Clinton said it was important that the company gets its response right.

"Now Facebook is trying to take on some of the unexpected consequences of their business

model, and I for one hope they get it right because it really is critical to our democracy

that people get accurate information on which to make decisions," she said."

The Los Angeles Times reported,

"Clinton said that she'd want to be in charge of the social media giant because of

the immense power it has over the world's flow of information.

"It's the biggest news platform in the world," she said.

"We can listen to really brilliant experienced writers like [Washington Post columnist] David

Ignatius and try to keep up with the news, but most people in our country get their news,

true or not, from Facebook."

Since the 2016 election, Facebook, as well as other tech companies such as Google and

Twitter, have been the focus of intense criticism for the role they played in spreading misinformation

and Russian state propaganda during the 2016 election, raising questions about unchecked

political advertising on those platforms.

And unlike Google and Twitter, Facebook has been singled out for privacy-related concerns

after the disclosure that a data analytics firm contract by the Trump campaign improperly

obtained the personal information of millions of Facebook users.

The company has announced policy changes aimed at eradicating false information, providing

more transparency about political advertisements and tightening privacy controls.

Clinton referred to some of these issues as the "unexpected consequences of their business

model."

"And I for one hope that they get it right, because it really is critical to our democracy

that people get accurate information on which to make decisions," she said.

Clinton's approximately half-hour conversation with Healey touched on topics including her

childhood, a recurring theme; challenges facing the country; her optimism about the future;

and her time at the State Department.

Clinton said she grew up getting her information from Life magazine."

If Clinton was not even qualified enough to be President of the United States she surely

is not qualified to run Facebook.

A multinational corporation that has billions of worldwide users.

However, she has to do something in order to keep her day job and make money now that

she is disgraced from politics and no longer able to contribute in that sphere.

Subtropical Storm Alberto is in the Gulf of Mexico - Duration: 7:33.

Subtropical Storm Alberto is in the Gulf of Mexico

Subtropical Storm Alberto turned to the north and is expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico

on Saturday (May 26), hurricane forecasters said.

It's expected to bring heavy rain and rip currents to New Orleans and much of the Gulf

Coast later on Memorial Day weekend.

Alberto is the first named Atlantic storm of 2018, days ahead of the traditional start

of hurricane season on June 1.

Here's what we know as of Saturday.

Where's Alberto now and where is it heading?

The 10 p.m. Saturday update on Subtropical Storm Alberto from the National Hurricane

Center indicates its center has reformed slightly to the northeast.

It about 120 miles west-southwest of the Dry Tortugas and 400 miles south of Apalachicola,

Fla.

The storm is holding its forward speed at 13 mph and winds remain at 40 mph.

After traveling north for most of Saturday, forecasters said Alberto was heading north-northeast.

Forecasters have also shifted Alberto's storm surge watch to the east, although the range

of tropical storm watch is unchanged from the 4 p.m. update.

With the storm drawing nearer, a tropical storm warning is now in effect for portions

of the northeastern Gulf Coast.

A tropical storm watch is in effect from the mouth of the Pearl River east to the Mississippi-Alabama

state line.

A tropical storm warning is in place for the Dry Tortugas and from the Aucilla River in

Florida to the Mississippi/Alabama border.

Will New Orleans see rain from Alberto?

The late Saturday rainfall projections for Alberto did not include the New Orleans area.

Still, a flash flood watch remains in effect for southeast Louisiana through 7 p.m. Monday.

Alberto is expected to produce total rain accumulations of 10 to 15 inches with isolated

totals of 25 inches across western Cuba.

Rainfall accumulations of 3 to 7 inches with maximum amounts of 10 inches are possible

across the Florida Keys and southern Florida.

Heavy rains will begin to affect the eastern Gulf Coast region into the southeastern United

States on Sunday and continue into the middle of next week as Alberto moves northward after

landfall.

Tropical Storm conditions are expected within the warning area along the northern Gulf Coast

by Sunday night.

Tropical Storm conditions are possible in the watch area along the northern Gulf Coast

by Monday.

Southeast Louisiana could feel storm-force winds starting late Sunday night, depending

on Alberto's path.

Storm surge, flash flood threats exist The combination of storm surge and the tide

will cause normally dry areas near the coast to be flooded by rising waters moving inland

from the shoreline.

The water could reach the following heights above ground somewhere in the indicated areas

if the peak surge occurs at the time of high tide.

New Orleans and its area lakes are included in the National Hurricane Center's illustration

of areas that face a flash flood threat.

When will we know more?

The National Hurricane Center will issue an intermediate advisory at 2 a.m.

Sunday and its next full advisory three hours later.

When does hurricane season start?

Hurricane season starts June 1 and ends Nov. 30.

NOAA predicts a 75 percent chance this season will be near or above normal.

NOAA forecasts:

10 to 16 named storms, which includes tropical storms.

There is a 70 percent likelihood we'll fall within this range, the forecast says.

5 to 9 hurricanes.

Remember, hurricanes are storms that have winds of 74 miles or higher.

1 to 4 major hurricanes.

These are the big Category 3, 4 and 5 storms with winds at 111 miles per hour or higher.

By comparison, NOAA said the average hurricane season produces about 12 named storms, six

of which develop into hurricanes.

The average hurricane season sees three major hurricanes.

How unusual is it to have a May storm?

May storms are "highly unusual," though they have happened before, said Mike Bettes, a

meteorologist with The Weather Channel.

Scientists have counted 14 named May storms since 1951, added Dr. Phil Klotzbach, a research

scientist in Colorado State University's Department of Atmospheric Science.

Hurricane seasons that have May storms tend to average near-normal activity for the rest

of the season, Klotzbach added.

What should you do now?

This system could mean rain for New Orleans, but it is still too early to tell exactly

how much rain.

Now is a good time to:

Clean your gutters.

Remove debris from the catch basins in your area.

If you are flying out of the city over Memorial Day weekend, the New Orleans airport advises

you to monitor your flight status.

It's also a good time to get your hurricane plan in place.

FEMA recommends keeping the following basic supplies in a disaster preparation kit:

Water, one gallon of water per person per day for at least three days, for drinking

and sanitation Food, at least a three-day supply of non-perishable

food Battery-powered or hand crank radio and a

NOAA Weather Radio with tone alert and extra batteries for both

Flashlight and extra batteries First aid kit

Whistle to signal for help Dust mask, to help filter contaminated air

and plastic sheeting and duct tape to shelter-in-place Moist towelettes, garbage bags and plastic

ties for personal sanitation Wrench or pliers to turn off utilities

Can opener for food (if kit contains canned food)

Local maps Of course, you'll also want to consider your

specific circumstances.

If you have children or pets, you'll want supplies for them.

And if you evacuate, you'll probably want to load your car with additional items such

as important documents.

Beware of boating this holiday weekend.

The Coast Guard warns against boating this holiday weekend amidst potentially hazardous

conditions.

They issued the following tips:

Those needing passage through drawbridges should seek access well in advance of the

arrival of gale force winds.

The bridges may deviate from normal operation as the storm approaches.

Stay clear of beaches since rip currents and strong waves are likely.

Ensure all boating gear is properly stored.

Wait for the go-ahead from authorities before entering any storm-damaged areas.

Do not board a partially sunken boat; seek salvage assistance from a professional.
