NATO and Seoul stress cooperation in facing North Korea's 'global threat' - Duration: 1:03.

NATO's Secretary General is in Seoul for a three day trip.

North Korea-related issues are high on the agenda.

Jens Stoltenberg met with foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha and stressed the importance

of cooperation in tackling Pyongyang's nuclear threats.

(English) "We are certainly very, very grateful for

NATO's strong support in the face of these provocations, there has been a number of statements

coming out of NATO against these provocations and we need that support from the international

community."

(English) "It's a big challenge for the Republic of

Korea being so close, but it is also a challenge for the rest of the world, because North Korea

is now developing more longer range missiles."

The duo reportedly discussed other global threats as well, such as terrorism and cybersecurity.

They also signed a partnership agreement renewing Korea's relationship with NATO.

The Secretary General is also scheduled to meet with President Moon Jae-in on Thursday.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Breaks Down How Taxes Work Using 10 People in a Bar - Duration: 2:45.

As the public face of the Trump administration, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee

Sanders is one of the people out there selling the president's new tax plan.

And during Monday's news briefing, she used a famous analogy to do it.

"I'd like to start the briefing today by addressing a topic that I know all of you

are preparing to ask me about, and that's tax reform," Sanders said to laughter (Monday

was, after all, the day Paul Manafort was indicted).

"A couple of you got it," she joked.

"This story has been floating around the internet for a while, and it's important

to keep in mind that the numbers are not exact, and I'm also not encouraging any drinking,"

she joked.

"So file that away — it's mostly for my parents.

But I think you'll enjoy it."

"Suppose that every day, 10 people — for our purposes, we'll say reporters — go

out for beer, and the bill for all 10 comes to $100," Sanders said.

"If these 10 reporters paid their tab every night the way we pay our taxes, it would go

something like this: first four, the poorest, would pay nothing.

The fifth would pay $1.

The sixth would pay $3.

The seventh would pay $7.

The eighth would pay $12.

The ninth would pay $18.

The tenth, the richest, would pay $59.

So that's what they decided to do."

However, as Huckabee Sanders explained, things all changed one day when the bartender made

a proposition.

"And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how our tax system works," Huckabee Sanders

concluded.

"The people who already pay the highest taxes will naturally benefit from a tax reduction,

but not the largest percent benefit.

Taxing them too much — attack them — and they might start drinking overseas, where

the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier."

And, mic dropped.

Now, of course, reporters weren't terribly interested in asking about analogies of tax

reform — it was mostly questions about the indictments that had been unsealed earlier

that day.

However, for those who are looking for a good argument of why we give the richest Americans

tax cuts, this is a pretty solid answer: It creates more opportunities for Americans.

One decade on from the Great Recession, the recovery still isn't complete.

We need more jobs, and tax policy is the best way to ensure those get created.

The bar analogy may be simple, but it's a great way to explain to angry liberals who

don't like reading economics books just how this whole tax policy thing works.

Initial Setup: Stride SiteLink Wired VPN - Duration: 3:45.

In this video, we will show the 4 easy steps to get your Plc or ethernet device connected

over The Stridelink VPN router First you will need to navigate to the Stride

Sitelink website.

Now you will need to create a new account, so Click down here to register a new account.

Fill out the information on this page and be sure to use a valid email account as you

will receive an activation notice to this address.

Once you see this message you will need to access the email account to complete the registration.

Click on the link in the email and that will take you back to the Stride sitelink page,

to complete the activation.

Now log in with the information that you had entered previously

Here you can see we that there isn't any devices listed, yet.

We will need to configure the router before it can be displayed here.

This configuration will need to be transferred to the Router via a thumdrive, like the one

included with the router.

To configure this router, click here and select Tools.

Now, click here to start a configuration.

You will be asked to verify which company to use.

You will then be asked which style of router you have.

This video is for the wired version but there are videos specific to each other styles and

the links for them can be found in the description below.

So I am going to select Wired.

You will need to know certain things on your Network setup, to complete this configuration.

This will be the Network example I will be using that has the needed information.

You are now given the Default configuration for IP addresses of devices on the router,

DNS, and the digital input.

If you want to change any of these settings, you can so now by selecting, Show more or

you can also change these setting after the initial configuration from this website.

Now you are asked to provide the LAN side IP address of Stride router.

This will be the IP address, shown here, in the example.

Click Next and then click on download.

This will place the file at the default download location on your PC.

Your file name should look like this.

If your PC placed any numbering in the name, please remove.

Now you will need to copy this file over to your USB thumbdrive.

Then plug it into the router here and power up the unit.

When your router is connected, open your Sitelink account and under devices you should see your

router in orange.

Click here and select Activate.

You will then be prompted to give your router a Name.

Once activated it should Now show as green, which indicates that It is successfully connected

to the VPN Cloud.

To connect your PC to this VPN network you will need to download the VPN client.

So, navigate back to the tools menu and select to download the client.

Once downloaded install it into your PC.

The last step of this setup would be to connect your PC to the Stride Sitelink VPN router

through this client.

So, navigate back to the Device menu then select your router.

You will also be able to change settings to your router remotely without having to reload

from the a usb drive.

To initiate the actual connection to the router, go to the info tab and then click on Connect.

Then will be asked to open up the Client.

From now on this will be how easy it is to establish a link to your VPN router and become

part of the network remotely from around the world.

Another victim of Japan's wartime sexual slavery dies; 34 left alive - Duration: 0:38.

Another survivor of Japan's wartime sexual slavery passed away.

At her family's request, the Korean woman's identity has not been revealed.

But according to a related civic group,... she was forcibly taken to serve the Japanese

military at age 17... and was drafted to Thailand, Singapore and Myanmmar.

An estimated 80-to-200-thousand women across Asia were enslaved in this manner, most of

them Korean... until the end of Japan's colonial rule of Korea in 1945.

Around 240 survivors were later registered by the South Korean government... but with

the latest death, their number stands at only 34.

Sources Say NYC Attacker Left Note in Truck, Killed for ISIS - Duration: 3:18.

Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, the 29-year-old immigrant from Uzbekistan who killed at least

eight victims in a truck attack in New York City on Tuesday, left behind a note declaring

he committed the terror attack in the name of the Islamic State group, New York news

outlets reported.

According to the New York Post, the handwitten note, in Arabic, pledged loyalty to the terrorist

organization.

Authorities also found an image of an Islamic State group flag inside the truck he used

to plow into a crowd on the Hudson River Greenway in lower Manhattan.

NBC News reported that Saipov rented the truck from an outlet of The Home Depot in Passaic,

New Jersey, crossed into New York City on the George Washington Bridge, then drove the

vehicle into a crowd along the Greenway, the popular bike path that runs along the Hudson

River on Manhattan's West Side.

Saipov then drove into a school bus near Stuyvesant High School, at the southern end of the Greenway,

injuring two adults and two children on board.

He then got out of the truck holding a paintball gun and pellet gun while yelling "Allahu

Akbar," witnesses say.

He was eventually shot in the abdomen by a police officer, taken into custody, and transported

to Bellvue Hospital.

According to news reports, Saipov had a Florida license but was believed to be living in Paterson,

New Jersey, with his wife and two children.

He worked as an Uber driver and reportedly passed a background check.

Uber says it is now cooperating with authorities on the matter.

Saipov was said by fellow Muslims in the Patterson area to be a practicing Muslim, although they

added they only saw him and his wife at the local mosque a few times.

However, NorthJersey.com reported that the Omar Mosque — which Saipov reportedly attended

— has been under investigation by NYPD, which targeted it under a surveillance program

designed to unearth "budding terrorist conspiracies."

A 2006 report by the department, while noting that no criminal activity had been linked

to the mosque, added that it "is believed to have been the subject of federal investigations."

Mahmoud Attallah, a former spokesman for the mosque, expressed anger over the attack and

said he feared backlash against the Muslim community.

"I was so upset with this situation, these innocent people,'' Attalah said, according

to NorthJersey.com.

"Every time we think this is over, and now this, and there is this guy from Uzbekistan,

and he's not even Arabic."

The New York Times reported Tuesday night that Saipov "had come to the federal authorities'

attention as a result of an unrelated investigation, but it was not clear whether that was because

he was a friend, an associate or a family member of someone under scrutiny or because

he himself had been the focus of an investigation."

Authorities, however, continued to insist that Saipov was a "lone actor."

Saipov, who has been living in the United States since 2010, was the recipient of a

visa through what's known as the Diversity Visa Program — a random drawing in which

less than 1 percent foreign applicants are approved, according to The Daily Wire.

President Donald Trump and Republicans have sought to replace that program with a points-based

system that awards visas based on merit.

Michelle, it was quite warm despite the clouds.

Daniel, today was a mild autumn day in many respects.

However, clouds will continue to develop and by tomorrow afternoon it will be raining in

the central region.

On Friday, there will be a second bout of rain waiting to fall nationwide.

Seoul will start out the morning at 12 degrees Celsius while Daegu and Busan begin with 10

and 12 degrees.

Into the afternoon, Seoul will reach up to 19 degrees while Gwangju and Busan peak at

20 degrees.

After tomorrow and Friday's rain, we'll get that cold coming back,... especially in the

morning where it will drop down to 2 degrees on Saturday,... which will be the lowest reading

so far this season.
