Youtube daily Jul 2 2018

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Software Pulse

It is Francesco D'Alessio your host here for another video on the Keep Productive YouTube channel

So just before we dive in a big big, thank you to monday.com

who are sponsoring this full week here on the Keep Productive YouTube channel. For those who don't know monday.com is in project management

Resource I've done a full thirty-minute

review, which you can explore below and there will be an an 8% discount for yearly and 2- yearly accounts below so you can go

And enjoy that in description below a big big

Thank you to monday.com they're a very innovative and rising star in the productivity space

So it's great to have them as a sponsor. So we're back with some software news here on Software Pulse

So as I mentioned before this will be the last feature before I go on vacation so many apologies

Um, but it's a good point to ask you guys

If you have any feedback on software pulse obviously the animations we're working on than anything else things

You'd like to see apps you'd like to hear about

Maybe you want to change the style up a little pop them in the comments below

We're really open to adapting this section as it's only a weekly news segment

So without further ado, let's dive into this week here on the software pulse

so first off is evernote evernote have adapted their pricing a little I definitely on the UK side and they're showing a

per month pricing for Evernote premium

So this new pricing adaption is for premium, of course a couple of months ago

We lost evident Plus which was the middle bracket between basic and premium and now premium is for pound

99m months I'll include the u.s

Pricing below but this is a sort of a slightly different adoption

Than many people going for the yearly accounts on the premium for Evernote

so it's a big change monthly is definitely a different story for Evernote and they've also updated their

Yearly pricing for business. So now per user it's 109 pound

So that's actually good to see a nice adaption there. So next up in news is Google Tasks

Google Tasks had now

The lineup in G suite so that means any Google Apps

users will now get access to Google Tasks as a core experience of

Their setup and that's sweet. So that's a really nice addition. Of course, Google Tasks

I can definitely see rolling out on web very soon

And I believe they're going to be adding more and more functionality to it as time goes on as well as how Microsoft to do

sort of rally on I believe they're very similar in style and

Definitely company smells. So let's see how that pans out. So next up is Google Calendar

So Google's obviously and a good week Google Calendar have released a new

out-of-office feature allowing you to set out of office times and they could be for weekends or

even holidays but during this period of time it will stay tuned your calendar that you are clearly out of office and you cannot be

Booked and this is helpful for many of the new applications coming out allowing you to book through Google Calendar

Making it a bit more aware that this is your own personal time now

It's great as well because you can now set working hours which makes it a bit more definitive

Especially if you work with different time zones and different clients as well

So next up is Zen kit Zen kit. The pablor project management resource has released eight new languages

So that becomes more available and widely available

In those eight languages, so it's definitely worth checking them out. If it's one of the languages that meets your criteria

So ticktick have a brand new theme and that's the world cup theme at the moment. It's to russia

2018 well camp and ticktick have jumped on board with that. You can definitely access that in the pro experience

I'll definitely check out and add that in the description

If it's something that you can get on the free account, too

And finally, we had a big outage this week with slack slack was out for about three and a half hours

which doesn't seem a long time but pretty much all workspaces in slack were out which made a

Huge issue for a lot of us and worldwide customers that use slack. Of course, we hear that

I believe it's only eight million users or daily users of slack which seems a little low still but still a map

Imagine how many issues that caused for the workplace?

the outage went out for three and a half hours and they stated everything on social media and

Even two days after there was in small outage as well

So there was a couple of bugs creeping in the system, which I definitely think they'll be getting fixed

So guys that was this week here on the software pulse some nice adaptations, but not really any large future releases

So do keep your eye out of the next three weeks and do ping me on the Facebook group if you do see something there

Anyway guys a huge huge. Thank you for stopping by today

Thank you to monday.com for sponsoring this week here on the Keep Productive youtube channel. Now without further ado guys

Feel free to leave comments and cito is very rosy Cheers

13 SEO Tips That ACTUALLY Work in 2018 and Beyond - Duration: 17:19.

Have a mobile friendly site.

Increase your page speed.

But you already know these things!

If you're sick and tired of hearing the same SEO tips over and over and over again,

then make sure to watch this whole video,

because I have tactics, techniques and strategies

that you are not going to want to miss.

Stay tuned.

[Ahrefs intro music]

Hey, it's Sam Oh here with Ahrefs, the SEO tool that helps you grow your search traffic,

research your competitors and dominate your niche.

And we have a lot of juicy stuff to cover, so let's skip the formalities

and get straight into this thing.

The first tip is to get more traffic from your existing pages by covering subtopics

that Google wants to see.

Last year, we did a study on 3 million searches to find how many keywords you can rank for

with one page and found that the average #1 ranking page will also rank for about 1,000

other relevant keywords.

So how do you find these keywords?

Easy.

You do a content gap analysis.

So let's assume that you run SEO for bodybuilding.com.

First, you'd go to Ahrefs' Site Explorer and paste in the URL of your page on "how to lose weight,"

which ranks somewhere on page 2 or 3 of Google's search results.

And you can see that this page ranks for around 1,100 keywords with 2,600 monthly search visitors.

Not too shabby.

But let's quickly compare that against the top ranking page from healthline.com.

They rank for over 30 times the keywords and gets more than 170 times more search traffic.

So, all you need to do is go to the content gap tool in the sidebar.

Next, paste Health Line's URL here.

And I'll actually paste in a couple more of the top ranking URLs to get more relevant results.

I'll set this filter here to show keywords where all of these targets rank in the top

100 and at least one of them ranks in the top 10, while my site doesn't rank at all.

Finally, I'll make sure that our URL is set to prefix mode and run the search.

And you can see that there are over 1,600 keywords where all of these pages rank, while

the bodybuilding.com one doesn't.

You can see ideas here like to include modifiers like "best."

And here are a couple great sub topics you can include in your post.

You can write about diets and also have a section specifically on weight loss for women.

The next tip is to reverse engineer Quora and other forums to find low competition keywords

plus a bonus traffic hack that you have to see.

No matter what niche you're in, there are likely forums that are generating search traffic

from user generated content.

And since no one is actively building links to these forum threads, they are likely going

to be really easy keyword targets.

Here's how you find popular threads on forums like Quora.

Go to Site Explorer tool and enter in a domain of a forum.

So I'll use quora.com.

And you can see that they generate over 154 million search visitors every single month.

Next, click on "top pages" in the sidebar to see which pages from Quora generate the

most search traffic.

Finally, use the search box to look for a generic topic related to your niche.

So let's say that I have a blog on bitcoin.

And right away, you'll see a couple here like bitcoin generator which only has 5 referring

domains, gets 5,000 monthly searches, and ranks in position 4.

And then there's this one, "how long does it take to mine a bitcoin" with 1 referring

domain, 3,400 monthly searches, in position 1 and owns the featured snippet.

These would likely be low competition keywords that you can go after.

But why limit your SEO knowledge and this golden data just to play the Google game?

Let's click through to this one here on bitcoin versus some other cryptocurrencies.

You can see that this question has been viewed over a million times despite having only 1,100

monthly searches for their top keyword.

If you look at this response, it was answered around 6.5 months ago from the time I'm

recording this video,

and it's gotten over 73,000 views!

So post your answer here and some relevant links to your website and start getting quality

referral traffic.

In fact, I tested this exact trick as an experiment with a brand new domain to generate over 48,000

visitors and 15,000 leads from Quora alone.

The next tip is to convert images into links back to your page.

Creating quality graphics is hard and expensive.

So what do people do?

They steal them.

If you've created an infographic, image graphs with data, or taken some cool photos,

then you probably want credit for those, right?

Here's how you do it using Google Chrome.

Just right click on the image, then click "search Google for images."

And you can see that these images appear on a bunch of different sites.

So go to these sites and make sure that they've linked back to you.

Here's an even easier way to do this:

Go to the backlinks profile for your domain in Site Explorer and type in .jpg or whatever

file extension in the search bar.

And will you look at that.

It looks like we have 868 links to our images.

From here, you can open up the referring pages and see if they linked to the post where the

image is from.

So on this page, I'll open up the page source and do a find for our domain, ahrefs.com.

And it looks like there's only one link pointing to our image that's embedded on our email

outreach post.

From here, I could contact the author and politely ask if they could change the link

to our post instead of the image, because it doesn't really pass much value to us

since we're not trying to rank the image.

Next tip: don't underestimate the effectiveness of broken link building.

Broken link building is one of the easiest link building tactics that anyone can do.

Here's how it works:

You find pages that are broken and have backlinks pointing to it, you recreate that page, then

you reach out to the websites that are linking to the broken page and ask them for a link.

The easiest way to do this is to go to Ahrefs' Site Explorer, enter in a domain of a closely

related competitor, and run the search.

Next, click on "best by links" in the sidebar.

From here, you'll use this filter to show only 404 pages.

And right away, you can see all of the pages that are broken and the number of unique linking

websites that are pointing to these pages.

Here are a few tips to make your campaigns convert better.

1. Include a screenshot of where the broken link is.

This one tip took my conversion rate from sub 7% to around 13%.

2. Don't copy people's email scripts.

They're overdone and when someone receives that first line that says, "I was looking

for some resources on 'topic'" then they'll just click away or delete it.

And #3. Make sure your resource is relevant and actually impressive.

The next tip is to include case studies and stats in your articles.

Stats build trust and links.

Period.

Exclamation point.

Happy face.

Take a look at the backlink profile for Ahrefs' blog.

If I do a search for the percent sign, you can see that we have over a thousand backlinks where

this symbol is either in the anchor or surrounding text.

But Sam, Ahrefs is a big-data company!

Well, let's look at Backlinko's backlinks.

Brian has over 2,600 backlinks with the percent sign in the anchor or surrounding text.

And if you look through some of the links that he has, they're based on his personal

results like this one that says:

"Brian Dean increased his search traffic by 110% in just 14 days."

Here are a couple more ideas on how you can add stats and data to your posts.

1. Use your own surveys with email subscribers, social media followers, or whoever would fit

the profile.

2. Gather boring data and make it interesting.

You can do this by turning it into an infographic, a video or a map.

The next tip is to avoid "Keyword Unicorns" and consider search intent first.

Just because a keyword has high search volume, it doesn't mean it's one that you should target.

Search intent says a lot.

If we look at the keyword metrics for the search query, "Google Analytics" in Ahrefs'

Keyword Explorer, you'll see that there are around 1.5 million searches per month.

The thing is that the vast majority of people searching for this , they probably wants to

login to Google Analytics, right?

So even if your page ranked in the number one or two position, you probably wouldn't

get very many clicks because you can't serve the searcher's intent.

And our Keywords Explorer shows that only 5% of the time, search results for this query

get clicked.

But if we search for "how to use Google Analytics," then the search intent becomes

more clear.

People likely want a guide or tutorial on how to navigate their way around Google Analytics

and extract actionable insights.

And the clicks data shows that the search results for this query get clicked around

51% of the time.

So always consider search intent first and ask yourself questions like:

Do people searching for this likely have intent to buy what I have?

Can I convert this traffic into leads?

Is there enough search demand to make it worth creating and promoting?

If the answer is no, then you might want to move on.

The next tip is to add modifier keywords to your titles.

Modifier keywords are add-ons to a base keyword.

Here are 4 of my favorites:

Best, top, buy, or the current year.

For example, someone who is searching for "keyword research tools," they might also

look for "best keyword research tools," or even "best keyword research tools 2018."

Modifiers can help you rank for more keywords and also meet people in different parts of

their buying journey.

So, if you own an eCommerce site and you sell this Kitchen Aid mixer, you might want to

add "Buy Kitchen Aid Mixer," and then the model number.

So do your keyword research on phrases with modifiers and play around with your titles

and content.

The next tip is to monitor your competitor's links, and then steal them like a thief in the night.

When someone links to your competitors' content, you need to ask yourself, why did they link

to them and not me?

And the answer is almost always because that they don't know your resource even exists.

And even if you email them right now and you tell them about your resource, it's probably

too late because timing is a critical component in successful outreach.

You can solve this is by monitoring new backlinks for one of your competitor's pages, then

reach out to the site owner or author ASAP.

Here's how you can automate the process.

Go to Ahrefs' Alerts menu.

Then under the backlinks menu, set up a new one and enter in the URL of one of your competitor's pages.

Set the notifications to real-time and as soon as your competitor gets a link to that

page and we find it, you'll get an email notification so that you can contact the author

and pitch your resource.

The next tip is to find low competition keywords that no keyword research tool can find.

Something that's widely accepted in the SEO community is that quality backlinks help you

rank high on Google.

Agree?

But wait a second.

Then that should mean that if a page has no backlinks but gets a ton of organic search

visitors, then that page must rank for some low competition keywords, right?

So using Content Explorer, which has an index size of nearly 1 billion pages, you can do

just that.

Just type in a general topic in your niche and set the option to a "title search."

Then set the maximum number of referring domains to 0, so no backlinks at all, and then set

the minimum organic traffic value to something like 1,000.

Scrolling down a bit, you'll see this cool topic here on backpacks for professionals

that gets over 2,000 search visitors each month without a single linking website.

Next, I'll click on "details," and then "organic keywords."

And just like that, I found some great keywords that I can create a post around like professional

backpack, best professional backpack, and professional backpacks for work.

And I know that I can probably rank high for these keywords with one page and only a few

quality backlinks or maybe none at all, since this page is doing it.

The next tip is to claim unlinked mentions.

And this strategy is simple.

When someone mentions you or your company, then they should link to you, right?

Well, people don't always do that.

There are a few ways to find people who have mentioned you but haven't linked to you.

First, go to Google and search for something like "your brand name" -site:yourdomain.

But it would be quite the feat to search through this many results only to find that most people

have already linked to you.

Instead you can use Content Explorer.

You can type in something like your brand name and common misspellings, so I'll type

in brackets ("netflix" OR "net flix" as a phrase match OR "netflicks") -site:netflix.com.

This query is going to look for any of these keywords and exclude results from their own

domain.

Next, I'll click on the "one article per domain" filter to narrow down our results

set since we don't need to get links from every page that has mentioned the brand name.

Next, click on the "highlight unlinked domains" dropdown and enter in the domain, netflix.com.

Scrolling down, you can see that this result is highlighted in yellow, which tells us that

this website has never linked to netflix.com

From here, we could reach out to the site and claim an unlinked brand mention.

If you have a lot of results like Netflix, then you can click the export button and make

sure that this checkbox is checked to export only the unlinked domains.

The next tip is to repurpose your best content.

If have a blog post that has done particularly well by gaining links or garnering engagement,

then it might be a good idea to repurpose that content into different media types.

So you might turn that into an infographic, a podcast, a video, or a map, or a Slideshare

presentation.

The video that you're watching right now is the perfect example.

We have a blog post on 70+ SEO tips that's earned 254 links from different domains, over

7,000 shares and has 140 comments.

By repurposing your content, you can expand your reach on different platforms and reach

larger audiences.

The next tip is to grab links from Wikipedia and make sure they stick.

Before I show you how to do this, there are two things that I need to address:

1. Yes, Wikipedia's links are "no followed."

2. Yes, you should still consider getting links from these pages.

But why?

Because just the English version of Wikipedia gets around 3 billion search visitors every

single month.

Translation: an awesome place for referral traffic.

With Wikipedia, anyone can edit the Wikis and add links to their pages.

Just find the wiki you want to add, click the edit button and add your contribution.

But they do have a pretty tight moderation team, so you can't just spam links.

When you're adding content and/or links to the pages, you need to make sure that the

resources you're adding are bang on and adds value to what's already there.

Something that I've found to work well is to include a supporting statistic.

Next, you need to make sure that you're contributing to the right Wiki.

Here's a surefire way to find pages that get organic search traffic.

First, go to Google and type in something like site:wikipedia.org then add your keyword

term as a phrase match."

Then I'll make a note of any of the URLs that are clearly relevant to the article I want to promote.

Next, I'll go to Ahrefs' batch analysis tool, and paste these URLs here and run the search.

And right away, you can see which pages are getting the most organic search traffic and

now, it's just a matter of finding the balance between impressions and relevance.

The final SEO tip I have for you is an important one and I predict it's only going to become

more important.

And that's to optimize for featured snippets.

Featured snippets are when Google shows an answer, or a partial answer to the question

directly in the search results.

Ahrefs did a study on featured snippets and found that 8.6% of clicks go to these featured

snippets, which is stealing clicks away from the top organic rankings.

Whether you like these SERP features or not, you're going to have to adapt and play the game.

Here are a few quick tips to optimize your content for featured snippets.

1. Our study showed that 99.58% of featured pages ranked in the top 10 search results.

Not top 3, top 10.

So your first task is to make sure your page ranks there.

2. Look and see how the current featured snippet is formatted and understand what part of the

question is being answered.

For example, if we search for "how to make chicken soup" then you'll see the featured

snippet that highlights the directions and only the directions as a numbered list.

If we look up "chicken soup ingredients", then you'll see just the ingredients appear

and from a different website than our first example.

Looking deeper at one of these pages, you'll see that there's a simple headline and no

introductory text.

Just the list.

There are a lot of great resources out there on optimizing for featured snippets.

And hey, we actually have a great video on this topic which I highly recommend watching.

There were probably some, maybe even a lot of tips in here that you haven't used so

Jeep Wrangler JK RIPP Black Ops Edition Supercharger Stage 2 Intercooled (2007-2011) Review - Duration: 4:39.

The RIPP Black Ops Stage 2 Supercharger Kit with Intercooler is for those of you that

have a 2007 to 2011 JK, that are looking for a way to add some boost to get more power

out of that 3.8 liter engine.

This is going to be a very complete kit that is designed to be very, very easy to install.

You can do this in your driveway in anywhere between six and eight hours if you choose

to install it yourself, which is a very nice feature of this kit.

This isn't going to be dramatically more or less expensive than a lot of the other Supercharger

options for your JK.

They all fall really in the same type of range as far as the cost of the system.

So whether you choose to go with the centrifugal Supercharger like this, or a root-style twin

screw blower, you have a few different options, and it is really up to you, depending on how

you want to do your build.

Now, what sets this apart from some of the other Superchargers is the fact that this

is the Black Ops edition.

This has a black compressor as well as a black intercooler.

So you're not going to have quite the same flash of seeing that intercooler sticking

through the grille.

It's going to be a little bit more subdued, a little bit more of that stealthy look, if

that's what you're after.

Again, I'm going to give this a strong two out of three wrenches, but I'm not even going

to go three out of three wrenches on this Supercharger install.

This is going to be a very easy kit to install, even in your driveway at home.

Like I said, it's going to be a very complete kit.

You're going to get all of your plumbing.

You're going to get your tuner.

You're going to have all of your belts, your hoses, everything that you need to get this

thing installed in your Jeep very easily, and start making more power.

So as I mentioned, this is going to be a centrifugal Supercharger.

So this can look to some people like a Turbo.

It's not.

This isn't belt driven.

This is a Supercharger, not a Turbocharger.

But, because this is centrifugal, what that means is that the compressor is not mounted

on top of the engine.

It doesn't take the place of the factory intake manifold on the vehicle.

So what this allows you to do is not open up the engine at all.

You're going to mount this.

That's going to tap into your accessory belt, so it's going to drive off the belt, and you

really just have some plumbing to go from the Supercharger, through the intercooler,

and into the engine.

So not having to pull anything off the engine does make this install very easy.

Now, because you do have that piping between the compressor here, the charge going through

the intercooler and into the engine, you do have a little bit of lag for that boost that

you don't have with the root Supercharger that is going to be more instantaneous because

it is bolted directly on top of the motor.

So some pros and cons there.

Again, there are a lot of options.

The pricing is going to be very, very competitive between one style and another style, one brand,

another brand.

So the style you choose, the brand you choose is up to you.

If you are looking for something that is a nice, easy garage install at home, I really

like the RIPP kits for that.

So again, a fairly easy two out of three wrenches for this installation.

This is pretty much going to bolt onto your Jeep.

There's a little bit of disassembly that you're going to have to do to make some room for

things.

There is a little bit of cutting out of the back of the grilled in order to make the intercooler

fit, but other than that it's really just bolting up some brackets, and doing some plumbing

and a little bit of wiring to get this installed.

Of course, this does come with the tuner that you're going to flash your ECU with in order

to make everything start up and run right.

So it is a very all inclusive kit, a very easy kit to install.

This kit's going to run your $600.

It's a little bit more than the other Stage 2 kit from RIPP for those 2007 to 2011 3.8

liter.

Because it is the Black Ops edition, it does bump up the price a little bit.

If you don't care what color things are, you can go with the other version.

If you're into the black, you have a little bit more to spend for the visual impact of

the Black Ops edition, then go this direction.

Overall though, for a kit that's as complete as this one is, and as easy of an install

as this one is, I think you're getting a good deal here.

If you purchase one of the other Superchargers and you didn't feel comfortable or weren't

able to install it, you're gonna have to pay somebody a lot of money to install it.

So you might have saved a little bit on the Supercharger, and had to pay a bunch more

for the install.

If you're somebody who takes a look at the instructions and decides to install this themselves,

because that's really what this kit is built for, to install by yourself at home, then

even if you have to spend a little bit more for the system, it's going to be worth it

in the end because you don't have to pay somebody to install it for you.

So if you are looking to get more pep out of your JK and you want to go forced induction,

I would definitely recommend taking a look at this kit from RIPP, and you can find it

right here at extremeterrain.com.

Trump's Muslim Ban Was Never About National Security - Duration: 7:31.

The Supreme Court this week upheld Trumps travel ban with the conservative court majority

saying that the ban is here to stay and, you know what, it is.

Now, let's back up.

We had this discussion when this first happened.

Right?

Yeah.

It was like a year and a half ago.

I don't know.

It seemed like a long time ago.

You and I said, we concluded that this ban was going to be held constitutional.

I remember being on the air saying and then people, we got covered up with emails saying

how could you say that?

Well, the reason we could say that is because we understood how much flexibility a president

has with an executive order where you're talking about national security.

It falls within, you know, we've talked about this notion of police powers.

This is very strong and they never ... Nobody seemed to get that.

The libs were saying well, this is going to be overturned, it's just a matter of time.

We knew this was going to happen.

Yeah.

Just to point out to people too, it's not because we agree on that on the merits and

we think it's good.

No.

I don't agree at all.

It is because obviously with this conservative majority on the Supreme Court, there's no

way regardless of what the lower courts do, it was going to make it there and it was going

to get upheld.

But too, yeah, the power that the president does have while it's being pushed to the extreme,

something like this is unfortunately within his power.

Now, that's just the can he or can he not do this.

Let's talk about the merits of it.

If this about national security, we're banning people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, and

Yemen who have not done a single thing over here to Americans to harm them.

If you want to protect American citizens ...

How about Saudi Arabia?

Exactly.

This was not, even though he argued it was, this wasn't really about national security.

Because if it were, if this was about treating human beings with decency, we would be going

after Saudi Arabia on every possible front.

Here's what and I think a lot of people missed what was happening when this came about.

The EU was saying to the entire EU, all the European nations, you're going to have to

let in ... You're just going to have to permit this immigration flow.

That was part of the deal.

As an EU country, you must do this.

Greece, Spain, Italy, Belgium, all these countries all of a sudden seeing this huge influx of

Syrians.

African and Syrian primarily.

What he did was he picked up on that.

He picked up that that was causing a lot of problems politically for people like Merkel

and May and people who are in leadership over in Europe and he said I'm going to use that.

I'm going to say that's not going to happen here.

Well, first of all, the EU's proclamation that you must take these immigrations had

no impact on us anyway.

Right.

The UN, maybe.

UN negotiation, you say well we'll take in 10,000, 20,000 Syrians or immigrants that

are justified to come into this country.

The point being it wasn't really about national security.

It was about a political agenda that again Democrats were out maneuvered on.

He knew he was going to win this.

Any constitutional lawyer worth their weight would've said yeah you're going to win this.

He set the fight up.

I don't want happen in the US what's happening in Italy and France and Switzerland or Sweden.

I don't want that happening in the US.

We're not part of all that.

We're going to be different.

This was what he set up and the other side of it was if you remember you've heard the

term America first.

Yeah.

We've heard it ad nauseam.

What is that?

America first is again, it's a brand.

Just like Trump's brand is we're not going to allow immigration in and that's really

what this was all about.

It was all about ... It's part of the immigration narrative.

We've been sitting here watching.

The average person watching all this has not paid attention to how strong the America first

brand is becoming.

Look at South Carolina last week.

Was it this week or last week?

Look at South Carolina.

The big Trump ... You know, the big.

Yeah.

Monday evening, yeah.

Okay.

What was that?

That was America first.

What's he done?

He's set up this ... He's set up the ... This is all branding, Farron.

It's branding on America first, which is picking up a lot, a lot of steam.

It's almost like the tea baggers who picked up all that steam.

This is the same kind of deal.

His brand then becomes I'm not May, I'm not Merkel, I'm not these folks that are really

messing up on immigration.

This was the first shot.

This happened during the time that was becoming a big, big issue over in Europe.

Right.

Part of it is predicated on the fact that his supporters, those average people in that

crowd at South Carolina Monday night, they don't actually know what's happening in Germany

or anywhere else.

It relies on this standard of ignorance about foreign policy.

No.

I disagree with you.

I think they see the articles, they hear it on the news, another bombing, people being

raped in Sweden when they try to go to festivals.

They see this.

Yeah, but that's not ... Those are in the news because they are rare.

This is not something that these people are dealing with constantly.

I see.

It's not every single person.

Yeah, I get the point.

But, you do.

You latch on.

These Republicans, they latch on onto any single one issue or instance that they can

and that becomes the norm.

In their eyes, this thing, a bombing, it's because well they get bombed all the time

because of all the immigrants.

Watch television, watch the series on Fox, watch any of these shows, they're covered

up with these issues about the dangerous Muslim.

To say they don't know, they know it.

They know exactly what's going on.

It's on their TV.

It's on movies.

They kind of peripherally they know, they hear the stories that are happening in Europe.

They hear the stories about Merkel and May.

They don't put everything together, but they get a sense that Trump is different because

he wants to stop it and that's what this ban was about to begin with.

Well, it is and it's also like Donald Trump and Fox News just did this recently where

they bring on a mother who had their child killed by an illegal immigrant here in the

US.

You got it.

Exactly.

It's a rare, rare, rare instance.

You're far more likely ...

MS-13 is going to kill you.

Right.

You're far more likely to be killed by anyone else in this country other than an illegal

immigrant, but you highlight the one instance or the two instances or however many ...

His press conference.

Right.

And that State of the Union Address.

My God, everybody in the audience was somehow affected by an immigrant.

Family that was affected, they were affected.

I'm telling you when he did this, it was all about branding.

Baked Oatmeal with Blueberries & Walnuts - Duration: 2:25.

(upbeat music)

- Hey, everyone, Jerry James Stone here

and today's recipe is well, it's a baked oatmeal.

It's a blueberry and walnut baked oatmeal

and I love oatmeal, it's one of my favorite things

but if you kinda have an issue with the texture of oatmeal

'cause it's not the most appealing,

this is a really great way to get a lot of that yummy,

healthy oatmeal into your body

in a delicious new structure and format.

It's baked.

It's like a little polenta cake almost.

I think you're really gonna love this.

Let's get to it.

Okay, so to start making this recipe,

we're gonna begin with some rolled oats,

we're gonna add in some baking powder,

some ground cinnamon, salt, some brown sugar

and I'm just gonna mix that together a little bit

before I add in the wet ingredients.

Break down that sugar.

Okay, I'm gonna add in some Half N Half,

the beaten eggs and some vanilla extract.

Let's go ahead and mix that all together.

Now, we're gonna fold in our frozen blueberries

and some chopped walnuts and just fold this all together.

Add the mixture to a 9" x 9" pan.

Get it spread out evenly.

Let's give it a good shake

and now we're gonna bake it at 350 degrees

for about 40 minutes.

After you remove it from the oven, when it's done baking,

just let it cool for a little bit and then dig in.

How great does that look?

There you go, that's your next breakfast, right?

Okay, let me know what you think of it.

Drop a comment below.

If you like this video, give me a thumbs up

and hey, if it's your first time watching, please subscribe.

GC1000XE - Replacing Your Whirlpool Garbage Disposal - AP3121407, PS395791 - Duration: 19:09.

Hi, my name is Bill and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace or install a

garbage disposal.

The reason why you might have to do this is because your old garbage disposal is no longer

working or because you don't have one in the first place and want to put one in.

For this repair, we'll be using a Flathead screwdriver, a Philip's head screwdriver,

a putty knife, a hammer, a couple of wire nuts, and a serrated knife or a hacksaw.

You also may need to use some plumber's putty.

The first thing we need to do is find the circuit that goes to the disposal and turn

that off.

So after we've verified that there's no more electricity running to our unit, we're going

to start to unhook the old one.

So right here we have a drain line from our dishwasher to the disposal, that we have to

disconnect.

We've also got the main pipe from the disposal and out.

Then, we've got our electric wires right here.

So, we're going to start at the top and I'm going to work my way down.

And once that's loose, you can pull it right off.

And now we'll just get that out of the way.

So, the next thing I'm going to do is remove this pipe here, and the easiest way to do

that is going to be to get the screws out here.

Now that those screws are off, pull this down and it'll pull out or you can twist it out

of there.

So for the disposal here, this is kind of a better shot, since you can't really see

it under the sink.

What we've got here is a locking mechanism.

So, to get this off from the flange up top, you're going to want to twist the metal piece

right here.

And, that'll come off.

And then, you'll be able to remove your disposal.

When you're putting it back on, same thing, you're going to line up this little knob right

here, and put it on the pole.

And then, turn it, and you want to turn it as much as you can.

And, once you've got it locked into place, you'll be good to go.

And now you're going to want to twist the old disposal off.

If you're having a hard time like I was, you can just start by pounding it a little bit

with a hammer, but once you got it loose, it'll come right off.

So now that we've got that down, you've got to get this screw out, to get into this panel

here.

Now, we're just going to pull these out.

So, you can see right here that these are connected, we've got a couple of wire nuts

on it, and we're just going to unscrew the wire nut, on both of these.

And, you're going to untwist the wires, and separate them.

So,these ones are the ones that are going to our disposal.

The other ones are going to our outlet.

So, we are going to have to get these out now.

So, the next thing that we're going to do, is loosen up this screw here.

And, once that's loosened up, it'll pull right out.

These wires here, they're a bit rigid, so we just have to kind of bend them until they're

straight, and then we can pull them out.

And now, we get rid of our old disposal.

Now, we have to take the old sink flange out.

To do that, we're going to loosen these screws.

Now, this is nice and loose, and we just got to twist it and get that old seal out of there.

Now that we've twisted it a bit, and it's kind of loosened up, this top piece here,

you can just kind of pull down on it.

And, just kind of twist it, there's some putty and stuff, from the old one.

Just hold it in place, with a couple of twists we'll get all that old stuff out of there. Now,

I've got a retaining ring, and we just need a Flathead screwdriver, and we're going to

pry that off.

And, now I'm going to hold onto this stuff, so it doesn't fall down on me.

And now, we should be able to push up the old sink flange.

And, the next thing I'm going to do is, I'm just going to take a wet paper towel, and

just get rid of the old plumber's putty here.

Clean it all off, so I can make room for the new stuff.

Do the best that you can to get it all off.

Want to make sure that we've got a nice, watertight seal.

Now, we're just going to use a dry paper towel, and make sure we dry our sink out, right where

we'll be putting our new flange and putty.

So, this is our new disposal, GC1000XE from Whirlpool.

We'll be using this to replace our old one.

What comes with you disposal unit it;s got the top part that goes on the sink, it's got

the other accessories that are needed to connect to the drainpipe.

So, if you need to replace your disposal, grab your new OEM replacement disposal, if

you don't have it already, you can find it on our online store.

Now I'm just going to get a bit of putty here, and all that I'm going to do is I'm just going

to roll it up.

And, put it on the outside here.

And that wasn't quite enough, so let's get a little bit more.

We'll overlap it a little bit, and we'll put it on the rest of the way.

Now, for the flange we're going to have to take this apart.

So, try to remember how you take it apart.

Well, we've got this bottom part here, this gasket, which should come out first.

And then, this metal piece comes off.

Now, we're going to unscrew the plastic piece here, set that off to the side.

Now, we've got a couple of gaskets underneath, and I'll show you that.

And then this rubber gasket, if you look at the instructions says for stainless steel

sinks.

We don't have a stainless steel sink here, so that's why we're using the plumber's putty.

But, if you do have a stainless steel sink, instead of using the plumber's putty, you

would use this rubber gasket, as it says in the instructions.

So, now we are going to put the flange in, when you do that you can set it down, and

then just push down to get a nice seal in there.

And before we cut this putty, so that we're not doing it twice, we're just going to go

underneath, and put our other gaskets and flanges on, tighten it up, and that'll expose

some more of the putty when it gets tighter, and we'll cut it all off.

And at the bottom here, you can see some putty came out here as well.

We'll remove that excess putty real quick.

Or, you can have yourself just push it up in there.

Either way is fine.

So, we just have to get it out of the way of our threads.

So now, we're going to put on our first gasket here, and we'll go all the way up to the top.

Putty is helping it stick to the top there.

And now, you've got this flange here.

And the way that you can tell the way it's supposed to go is there's an arrow facing

up on it, so you make sure that is pointing up.

And, we screw that on.

We'll screw that on, nice and tight.

And, once you can't screw it on anymore, you take a look at the top and see all the extra

putty that's squished out, and then we'll clean that up.

So you can see here, you've got a nice tight seal now, it's squished out some of the putty.

So, this is actually pretty easy, I can take it out by hand.

Just get all that extra putty out.

Now, what you can do is kind of squish it all together and use it to get anything else

that you might miss.

Or, if you're having a hard time, like with this stuff right here, you get the putty knife,

or another tool with a blade, and just scrape the rest out.

Now, we're putting this back up here.

You're going to want to make sure that you put it on the right way.

You'll know it's the right way because the bottom here has this part that'll neck onto

your disposal.

So, you just out it up in there.

And, we'll get our rubber gasket.

You're going to make sure you put it on the same way you took it off.

This piece faces up, with the widest part at the bottom.

It might be a little bit difficult, you just have to kind of work it around, as best as

you can.

But it will snap into place, just like that.

And now, we have everything ready to put the disposal on.

So, now what I''m going to do is I'm going to pull out this old pipe here, and you can

take a look at it, if the pipe is good enough you can keep it, in that way it'll save you

a little bit of work, not having to cut a new one.

So, we'll get that off.

We got that old piece, right there, I don't really want to use it on our brand new disposal.

With this piece, all we really have to do is wash it off.

Like I said again though, you can use this also as a template to cut your new one.

So, if this is pretty worn out or pretty beat up, you can grab your new one, measure it

with that, draw a line or something, and then cut it where you need to.

Now, we need to cut our pipe to length.

What we need to do is compare these two here, and this one is about right there.

I'm going to do a little bit more though, just because we can always cut off again,

if we need to.

So, we'll cut it off right about here.

Now, it's best to have the proper tools when you do something like this.

I've got a serrated knife, instead of say, a hacksaw, because not everyone has a hacksaw

at home.

Most people have these serrated knives though, it's going to dull your knife, I'm not going

to lie, you probably won't be able to use the knife anymore, but, it works in a pinch.

So, we'll just cut around the pipe here, and try to do your best, to cut a straight line

all the way around.

Notice I'm also wearing my gloves, especially doing something like this, want to make sure

you stay safe.

Now, you can't really tell, but I'm through on this side, so I'm just going to continue

cutting around.

Alright, and now, let's break it off.

It's a little rough around the edges, definitely not my best work, but it'll do.

Now before we climb under the sink again, what I'm going to do with our new disposal

is I'm going to get rid of this orange sticker here.

Now what this is, is it's for the dishwasher drainage.

So, if you don't have a dishwasher drainage already hooked up, you don't need to worry

about this part.

However, for our example, we do have a dishwasher hooked up.

So, we need to take this sticker off.

Then, what we need to do, is get a screwdriver or something else to poke in here, and just

kind of give it a couple taps.

And, there's a piece of plastic, it's a plastic plug that you're going to have to try to knock

out.

So if you can't, the other thing is that if you can't knock it out, if it's really in

there, you get a hammer and tap on the end of that screwdriver.

There we go.

So here's the plastic plug we knocked out, it's in a few pieces, so I'm just going to

make sure I clean out the disposal, and get the rest of the little chunks out.

Unscrew the bottom panel of your disposal.

I'll be pulling out the wires from the hole here, and we're going to connect the white

wires together.

And, once the wires are connected, use a wire nut to secure them.

Now, we'll do the same thing with the black wires.

We're going to want to twist the wires together, and once they are twisted together, use a

wire nut to secure them.

And, push the wires in one at a time so they fit through the hole.

There we go.

And, now we can put the plate back on.

And, screw it back down.

So, now what you're going to want to do, is make sure the disposal is facing the right

way.

So, you've got your connections here, near the pipes, and you can bring it up, and line

up these other little pieces here that connect onto the sink.

And, once you've got that lined up, just twist it into place.

And, then adjust it as needed, like so.

Now, what we're going to do is put our rubber gasket on first, put that all the way up,

until it goes around the corner, and there.

Now, put this metal piece on, and we can put the pipe into the other pipe there.

Now, you just have to attack the pipe in here.

So, we just have to adjust it a little bit.

Put this piece in place, and screw these screws nice and tight into place, so we don't get

any leaks.

And, there we go.

Now, we can connect the dishwasher.

So, line up the hose, right there, clamp forward into place, and tighten it down.

Now, you can go back to your circuit breaker, and turn it back on.

Now, we can put the splash guard in, and we'll just make sure that goes in there, and that

it's nice and tight.

Just push it down around the edges, until it gets to the bottom.

And then, you've got this part as well.

So, you can put the stopper in there, whenever you want to plug up your sink.

We'll just leave it out for now.

Run some water, just to test it and make sure there's no leaks.

And, we'll turn it on, make sure everything is working properly.

So, it's sounding like we don't have any problems, and your repair is complete.

If you need to replace any part for your appliances, you can find any OEM replacement part on our

Powerful Panel Discussion Tip #156 with Glenn Thayer: Meeting with the Panelists Prior to the Panel - Duration: 1:03.

Glenn, do you meet with the panelists prior to the panel discussion?

Oh you know what, I think it depends.

Most of the time I find people that people that I have on the panels are usually at a

level that they are not able to; I can't get them on site before the conversation so

typically we're having these conversations in the green room backstage before we bring

everybody on.

If I get them for rehearsal, then I spend fifteen, twenty minutes with them in rehearsal

saying here is how it's going to go, we walk through how the introductions are going

to go, we play their videos, if there's AV.

If there's any presentations, we need to do, we are really doing the walk through there.

So if I can get that, awesome.

There's a lot of times it doesn't happen.

Aimee Vlogs - rebooted?! - Duration: 7:44.

Ok, before we start - I know that I look very insecure in this video, and that I keep looking down at my desktop

and there are two specific reasons for that. Number one - I haven't done a video in ages!

Number two - I used a manuscript.

And now you know!

And what you see in this video is not really what I'm about or how I look, but yeah. It's just the way it is.

And that's it… so… Here we go!

Take it away, Aimee!

It sure has been a while since I made a video... *thinking*

Hi!

My name is Anna-Maria Eriksson, but you - you can call me Aimee!

I have had like a gazillion YouTube channels since I started my first one back in 2009

or so.

Hopefully this will be my last attempt, and I hope I have learned from my mistakes.

Would you like to know some history?

Well, no matter what - here it comes!

Back in May or so in 2016, I started a YouTube channel called GreatDaneManiac.

It's linked up here somewhere.

On that channel I planned on only making videos about my favorite dog breed - Great Danes!

Well.

Life happened, and all those plans have gotten delayed.

Before that, the channel was called Aimee Vlogs, and I made a bunch of videos about

the Inman Aligner.

You can find the playlist of those videos here.

Those videos made the channel a bit more popular, but I did not get dog lovers interested, sadly.

Sometime after I started the channel about Great Danes, I started this one.

It was supposed to be a "Vlog & Gaming" channel.

As you can see, nothing much has happened here yet.

But I plan to change all that.

When?

I have no idea, but I'm planning videos and other stuff as well.

If you've seen my video about my plans for the other channel, linked up here & down below,

you know some of my topics already.

Those are primarily veganism and technology in some form.

At least for now.

It can always change.

I have so much to say, and I love making YouTube videos - even if nobody watches them or subscribes.

Of course, as I've explained before (in another video) - I go nuts if I don't get the "attention"

I crave over here, so I have tried not thinking about it too much.

The result of that is - no videos or any other action happens on either of my channels.

I guess I'm doing this as a sort of an experiment?!

In one way I'd like to learn to become more patient with not getting views...

And in other ways I'd like to try if I still have the potential of becoming somewhat successful

YouTuber.

If I do, it would be nice, but I am counting on remaining a tiny channel with like 12 subscribers

and perhaps 50 views per video if I'm lucky.

It is good to be realistic these days.

I know for a fact that "Vlogs" will not happen here… Just so you know.

I've sort of gotten tired of watching those and making them before has never been a success

either, so why bother?

If I do videos here, they will share a lot of information, inspired by some of my favorite

YouTubers out there.

Some are vegans, but others are just simply amazing at what they do.

To name a few, I really like Mic. the Vegan, for his science based stuff.

I'm also a huge fan of Tailosive Tech, for his amazing ways of having an opinion and

discussions. Amazing…!

I'll never become as great as they are, but I don't care!

I want to make awesome YouTube videos.

My goal is to spread good messages with correct information.

Especially when it comes to veganism.

So much of what we know is so wrong in today's society.

It is so scary...

I do not know if I'll be doing this in both English and Swedish, but I'll try to subtitle

each video in both languages anyways.

That way, I'll reach a whole lot more people!

Also, you'll never see a horrible vertical video on this channel.

Eww...

I guess that's it for now. Thank you for watching!
