Youtube daily Nov 24 2017

I am Mrs. Frank Signa.

I am 91 and a half years old,

and I'm from Greenville, Mississippi.

Found a job and worked at a furniture store until

my husband came along; we started dating.

One night, he was going to take me to a movie.

He said, "One of my sisters was sick tonight,

"can you come fry potatoes?"

So what do you do, I come in and right over there,

fried potatoes, all night, and he was openin' oysters.

Course I don't think I let any french fries burn

but, course I was lookin' at that good-lookin' man

openin' the oysters IN the window.

I like to walk in a place where people recognize me.

You know, you walk in a place, you walk in and people

walk on by you like you don't know.

They don't care whether you're here or not.

But when they walk through that door,

I want them to feel welcome.

I make everybody glad that comes in this restaurant.

When they come in and they look around, you know,

and with that look on their face, you know,

is this building gonna hold up before I leave here?

And I said, "I can guarantee you one thing,

"it's not gon' to fall in before you get to eat."

I was waiting on tables and whatever they needed me for.

But, to work, but make hot tamales.

I have never made hot tamales.

I can't tell you what's in 'em.

So me and they came, and they came from England,

and so I, me and my big mouth, I got to talkin'

to one of 'em, and that's been 15 years ago.

And right now, he comes once a year and we correspond,

call each other, and we sit right here.

When they leave, I want 'em to be able to tell people

that the food was the best they ever had anywhere.

I would want them to have enjoyed the food,

and the fellowship so much that they

can't wait to tell everybody they see.

By the time I get through talkin' to 'em,

they can't help but try to get away

from me and hug me around the neck.

The rangers are en route with the imager,

but we also have a security issue.

Circle logs indicate one of the analysts made a copy

of the network intrusion signal.

The signal strength is through the roof. Where did you say you got this?

It hacked the national military air-guard frequency

in less than a minute.

- No way. - Yeah.

Looks like there's a message embedded in the signal. Let me work my magic.

"Project Iceman"?

- What's Sector Seven? - Who is Captain Witwicky?

Are you playing those video games again?

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - THE END of the WORLD we KNOW? - Duration: 6:22.

The term "artificial intelligence" appeared more than 60 years ago, in 1956 more precisely,

then everything seemed like a utopia, a dream too beautiful to be realized,

a stage of development considered almost impossible to reach,

but in recent years everything has gotten out of shape, becoming a reality.

Artificial intelligence is "the art of creating cars that are capable of performing functions that would require intelligence if they were met by people."

There are two types of artificial intelligence, weak artificial intelligence, Weak AI and Strong AI.

Weak AI can not think, but it can solve some problems in a more or less intelligent

way based on algorithms, more precisely, focusing on just one task, having as example the robots used in the assembly lines of products.

But Strong AI is at a whole different level, it can continually learn this process by calling Deep Learning,

it is self-conscious, reproduces human emotions, and can also teach like a child through social and physical interaction.

Currently AI is used in almost any field such as expert systems, genetic algorithms, neural networks, intelligent assistants, hybrid intelligent systems, robots, and the list can continue.

Some examples of intelligent assistants are Google Home, Alexa, Echo, Cortana, Siri and others, but so far there is nothing very impressive.

Interesting AI is what robots used, and now the smartest robot in the world is Sophia being also the first robot to receive citizenship.

Sophia uses AI, visual information processing, facial recognition,

voice recognition and is capable of reproducing human gestures and facial expressions.

She can now have simple conversations, she can answer questions, and she continually improves her social skills managing to make conversations more and more complex.

In an interview with Sophia in Neom, Saudi Arabia, she gave a very interesting answer to the question,

"Can robots be self-aware and know they are robots?"

saying the next thing :

AI has lately frightened some important people like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, or Mark Zuckerberg,

recently Facebook has deactivated two AI Bots after scientists at the AI Research Laboratory of Facebook,

said the two bots began to communicate with each other in a new language invented by them, managing to ignore the instructions imposed by the program.

Self-awareness has been an extremely difficult threshold to achieve artificial intelligence so far,

but NAO robots have been the first to show that they are self-aware.

In the video you see in the background, the 3 robots have been programmed to believe they have received a pill that makes them unable to speak,

but at question : "What pill did you get?" only one of them could speak, realizing that he did not receive the pill, proving he is self-aware.

Next we can see how a robot learns to walk,

it is interesting that he does not know how the legs are positioned, how many feet he actually have, not even know if he has feet or the position he is in.

The robot learns through the Try & Error method until he can figure out how to move,

a similar thing is Google DeepMind project that is able to learn from mistakes,

a little time ago, a robot of google managed to beat the world champion at GO Game, infinite.

an impressive thing as the Go posible moves are almost infinite!

But still, though the world claims that AI has been created to make our lives easier,

we are still working over 40 hours a week to live a miserable life.

The real reason why it was created and continues to be improved is to produce money, but not for ordinary people.

From my point of view the technology that fascinates us today will lead us to extinction,

maybe I'm exaggerating .. but just think how many jobs have been taken by robots, why has that happened?

Simply, the robots do not get tired, do not commit errors, they do not need a break, they do not need money.

In a few years the transport will be done with autonomous cars, cars that drive alone, so a lot of drivers will lose their jobs.

We are witnessing a revolution in technology that will change mankind forever, how it will evolve over time depends only on us.

Expert Claims as Many as 2,000 Serial Killers Could Be on The Loose Throughout US - Duration: 3:50.

There may be up to 2,000 serial killers on the loose in the United States, according

to a homicide archivist who has spent the past seven years compiling municipal records

of murder.

Thomas Hargrove's database, which contains 751,785 murders carried out in the U.S. since

1976, is the largest catalog of murders in the nation.

Hargrove's archive serves as the foundation for the Murder Accountability Project, a nonprofit

he founded to help the country solve the more than 5,000 unsolved murders that take place

in the nation every year.

About one-third of all murders in the U.S. go unsolved, according to MAP.

"As a result, more than 229,000 Americans have perished in unsolved homicides committed

since 1980 — more than the combined death toll of all U.S. military actions since World

War II.

In fact, total U.S. military fatalities during the eight-year invasion and occupation of

Iraq were less than a single year of civilian losses from unsolved domestic homicides,"

MAP states on its website.

Hargrove, 61, believes the failure to solve America's unsolved murders has allowed almost

2,000 serial killers to prowl the streets unaccounted for.

The FBI believes less than 1 percent of killings in the U.S. are carried out by serial killers,

but Hargrove thinks the real percentage is much higher.

"How do I know?"

Hargrove told The New Yorker.

"A few years ago, I got some people at the FBI to run the question of how many murders

in their records are unsolved but have been linked through DNA," Hargrove said.

The FBI told Hargrove just over 2 percent of unsolved murders — about 1,400 — had

DNA records on file.

"Those are just the cases they were able to lock down with DNA," Hargrove said.

"And killers don't always leave DNA — it's a gift when you get it.

So 2 percent is a floor, not a ceiling."

Hargrove's database of murders, along with an algorithm he dubbed the "serial-killer

detector," aggregates data on killings that share similarities from a variety of factors,

including the method of killing, place, tie and the victim's sex.

Hargrove put his algorithm to the test in August 2010 when he detected a pattern of

killings in Lake County, Indiana.

Fifteen women had been strangled in the county, which contains the city of Gary, between 1980

and 2008.

Hargrove believed a serial killer was behind the stranglings.

However, Gary police didn't respond to Hargrove's messages urging them to look into the possibility

of a serial killer in the area.

"It was the most frustrating experience of my professional life," Hargrove told

Bloomberg.

In 2014, Hargrove's suspicions were confirmed when a man was arrested for strangling a woman

in a Motel 6 in Hammond, the town next to Gary.

"They make an arrest of a guy named Darren Vann, and, as so often happens in these cases,

he says, 'You got me,' " Hargrove said.

"Over several days, he takes police to abandoned buildings where they recover the bodies of

six women, all of them strangled, just like the pattern we were seeing in the algorithm."

Hargrove hopes police forces will start adopting his algorithm to begin tracking down serial

killers.

"Our primary purpose is to gather as many records as possible," he said.

"It's seductive how powerful these records are, though.

Just through looking, you can spot serial killers.

In various places over various years, you can see that something god-awful has happened."

Trump Only Needed Three Words to Tell US Military Exactly How He Feels About Them in Thanksgiving - Duration: 4:23.

President Donald Trump sent a special Thanksgiving message to members of the U.S. military on

Thursday, telling armed forces representatives around the world, "We love you."

Trump spoke to the troops from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida via satellite, The Daily

Caller reported.

"It's an honor to speak with you all and to give God thanks for the blessings of freedom

and for the heroes who really have this tremendous courage that you do to defend us and to defend

freedom.

So we want to thank you all very much.

Very, very special people.

It doesn't get more special," Trump said.

Trump addressed a representative for the First Brigade Combat Team of the 82nd Airborne in

Kandahar, Afghanistan.

"I have to say, just directly to the folks in Afghanistan, everybody is talking about

the progress you've made in the last few months since I opened it open.

We opened it up.

We said go ahead, we're going to fight to win.

We're not fighting anymore to just walk around.

We're fighting to win," Trump said, referring to his change in the strategy for troops based

in Afghanistan.

"And you people are really — you've turned it around over the last three to four

months like nobody has seen.

And they are talking about it.

So, thank you very much — brave, incredible fighters," Trump said.

In speaking to Direct Support Team Golf of the Marine Corps Special Operations based

in Iraq, Trump said, "what you're doing with ISIS is, again, being talked about.

We're being talked about again as an armed forces.

We're really winning.

We know how to win, but we have to let you win.

They weren't letting you win before; they we're letting you play even.

We're letting you win."

Trump also praised the work of the 74th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron from Incirlik Air Base in

Turkey.

"The fight against ISIS, it's coming our way — coming our way.

Big, big difference.

A lot of things have happened.

They say we've made more progress against ISIS than they did in years of the previous

administration, and that's because I'm letting you do your job," Trump said.

"You're performing more than 1,000 missions over the skies of Iraq and Syria in the last

four months.

We're very, very proud of you.

And believe me, everybody in this country is watching and they're seeing, and they're

seeing positive reports for a change, instead of the neutral and negative reports.

It's all positive," Trump said.

Trump addressed the sailors aboard the USS Monterey and the Coast Guard cutter Wrangell.

"For each of you, I know it's very hard to be away from home at this time of the year,"

Trump said, later adding that he hoped the members of the armed forces know the depth

of the support they have at home.

"I know I speak on behalf of all Americans when I say that we totally support you.

In fact, we love you — we really do.

We love you.

And this is a thanksgiving that you won't forget.

You're in a very different part of the world than you were used to, but, boy, are you doing

a job there.

And thank God for you.

Thank God for you," Trump said.

Trump also mentioned those who wait for their family members to return.

"We also want to give thanks to our loved ones — our amazing military families.

I know they miss you, and they miss you so deeply and so badly.

They're every bit as important as every else you work with because they put up with

so much.

They put up with the time away and all of those things that they have to endure.

And they endure it because they love our country and because they love you.

And believe me, I know so much about military families.

They respect and appreciate what you're doing for this country, and they respect and

appreciate what you're doing for them, as a family.

So your families love you and they miss you," Trump said.

Trump then closed the public part of his video conversation in true Trump style.

"And again, I'm going to now — I'm surrounded by reporters and press, and I'm

going to ask them to leave, and we're going to have very confidential, personal conversations.

We're set up for that.

You know, it's really wonderful what technology can do.

So I'll ask the press to get out, and I'll say, "You're fired."

And, by the way, media, Happy thanksgiving, I must say.

Have a good Thanksgiving in Palm Beach, Florida.

Thank you all for being here.

I appreciate it," Trump said.
