Hey there the topic for this tool box tip is Google Adwords or pay-per-click advertising.
Same thing,
Google AdWords is pay-per-click we're gonna ignore Bing don't really care
about Bing and I was inspired to write this because I saw a thread on the
builders tour group Facebook group where someone was asking so so here you go I
promised a video I'm gonna try and help you navigate through this so a
pay-per-click ad it's called that because you pay every time somebody
clicks on your ad okay you you put an ad up and you get to decide when your ad
shows based on the words that people type in the search box so someone might
type plumber Brunswick heads and you can have your ad show up there when someone
types that like this and if they click on your ad you'll pay the money okay now
it can be complicated you can waste money easily and you can misdirect your
funds so I don't propose that you do this yourself I'm John from small fish
business coaching and I help my customers decide how to spend their
marketing money or how to invest their marketing money to get the best return
okay and and investing in Google AdWords isn't always the best choice and
certainly I don't recommend a DIY approach just like you probably don't
recommend a DIY approach for building a house or doing a tradesman's job a
qualified tradesman job so I recommend that you engage a marketing or US
particularly an AdWords specialist to do this for you and what I do with my
clients is I help me brief them and get it right so that they've got a proper
brief they understand your marketing and we direct just a strategic campaign not
just shooting from the hip so I'm John I was a surf story from
small fish business coaching now for some people AdWords is great but it's
not for everybody right if you serve a mass market like consumers or small
businesses I think AdWords is probably for you particularly if you serve a mass
market and you do smaller jobs rather than
projects you know if you subcontractor builders or if you're a builder and you
work with architects or what have you I don't think people are using the flow
I'm about to describe I think you're probably better off to be contacting
builders or architects or property managers directly okay but if your
electrician or a plumber or a fencer or suddenly like that this flow is very
appropriate for you right this flow of behavior from your customer right they
have a need something's broken the light doesn't work the fan doesn't work the
powers off the bathrooms overflowing whatever you know they know which trade
they need so their need comes and they know which trade they need to fix their
problem off they go picking their phone search google the name of the trade and
a location specify right in my case it's Brunswick heads in
Australia and New South Wales could be a town could be a city could be a county
could be an area a location specifier and that's the thing like you don't know
what they're going to what they're going to choose you have to guess so they have
a need they know it's trade they want they search it in their phone usually or
on their computer into Google's box the trade name and the location name up
comes the search page which I've helpfully drawn out for you or my high
tech flip chart okay and I'll come I'll explain that in a moment they choose one
and click on it based on what's written on that search page and they either
click on the ad and go to your website or your landing page or they click
straight to call and make a call so there's a number of things going on
right and once they get to your landing page they decide whether to call you or
to inquire on your website of course as well so it's a bit complicated right
we've got this flow someone with a need searched something and they get this
screen the ads are at the top they helpfully say this is an ad now then
there's the map and then there's what we call the organic listings down below and
I'll explain what each one is okay as are the ones people have paid for
there's usually three or four now Google says that 70% of the clicks
with commercial intent and upon an ad which kind of makes sense right what
that's saying I think is that more people who want to buy something will
click on an ad which kind of makes sense because if there's an ad they're you
know they're selling the thing and usually they ad copy the writing tells
you that they're selling the thing so you kind of know you're in the right
place if you're wanting to buy something I think that's a good place for trades
all right if you're wanting to buy a trade service and there's an ad that
says we do this you're doing mutant likely to get a click having said that
there's the map and that shows people close by and the ads because you can pay
to serve your ad they might not be close by so this is quite appealing for people
as well and then this down here the organic listings is Google's view of the
most appropriate website for that search phrase according to their several
hundred factors in there our guerrilla marking so I usually say to my customers
you kind of want to be in all three right you want to be here and on the map
and high up there you've got three listings on page one you're more likely
to get a click and you're more likely to look credible that way now having said
that of course costs money and time and not everybody is in a position to make
that level of investment and anyway today's video is about Google Adwords so
let me talk to you about Google AdWords all right there are nice things about
AdWords it's instant you can get your ad there Google sort of take let's everyone
take a turn in who gets to be at the top of that page so you know your ads
getting shown and your money's getting spent your daily budget is going to get
spent so you're going to get clicks from people who searched okay so if you're
right ad properly and you choose your search words carefully
you don't waste that money you get people who really are interested in what
you're selling okay so components to a Google AdWords
campaign you've got the keywords the ads and the landing pages I'll go through
them briefly right the keywords are what got searched
said this a couple of times now right generally we want to consider the name
of your trade and a location specifier and I think someone wrote in one of the
comments on this Facebook thread you know if you try and if you pick London
or Sydney you'll spend a lot more money for every click then if you do G if you
try Brunswick heads or dy or bethnal green or partnering or whatever right so
the the bigger area you try and cover the bigger the competition and the more
you'll pay for you click and the more specific you are the less you'll pay for
you click now I think that people are increasingly typing their sub earner but
not London I don't want to find a plan if I'm in London in Northland and I
don't want a Google plumber London and get somebody from South London who's
going to be not want to come I want somebody close to hand and I think
people have woken up to this now and aren't typing Sydney you know our big
city names anymore I think they're typing suburbs and location specifiers
near home more specific ones so think like that okay
now you got to write some ads oh I'm sorry think of all the names for your
trade right you can be a kitchen person in a cabinetmaker kitchen installer
kitchen designer joiner right all those things are names for similar stuff and
you don't know what what they're going to search you have to try and guess and
you have to try and cover all the bases okay so you done Kiwis of keywords now
would think about the ads you have to write an ad they see the ad if you
recall from the other page they see a nice ad with some words that says
cabinet maker you know North Sydney guaranteed price fixed price quote free
quote whatever right and you've got to write something there that attracts
people to click on the add some of them you can call directly from the ad so you
want to entice people to take to make the call so don't just write we're a
plumber well we're a kitchen maker tell them something nice about yourself and
give them something that entices them to click and then the last thing is where
they land right if they just land on your home page that's one thing if you
have
a landing page a separate page on your website that's consistent with what you
said in the ad you get more click-through to get more clicks for
your money so that's a good thing too so look here we are it's getting
complicated right I'm running a workshop in June where I'll spend half an hour on
this not four minutes and when I'm coaching people I've got training videos
that last for an hour each an hour and there's two or three on this so there's
more to it than I can get across in a short video I hope this is help if you

Israeli PM Netanyahu says he has proof Iran lied about nuclear program - Duration: 2:41.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has evidence Iran was lying when it
said it had given up its pursuit of nuclear weapons.
Ro Aram reports.
Netanyahu went on national television on Monday to present what he called evidence of a secret
Iranian nuclear weapons program.
He said Iranian officials had deceived the world by denying it had ever sought nuclear
weapons, adding they moved relevant documents to a secret location in Tehran.
"Iran lied, big time.
After signing the nuclear deal in 2015, Iran intensified its efforts to hide its secret
nuclear files.
In 2017 Iran moved its nuclear weapons files to a highly secret location in Tehran....A
few weeks ago in a great intelligence achievement, Israel obtained half a ton of the material
inside these vaults and here is what we got, 55,000 pages another 55,000 files and 183
CDs..."
President Trump, who has long been critical of the Iran nuclear deal, said his Israeli
counterpart's presentation showed he was right about Iran.
"What Israel has done today with the news conference and Prime Minister Netanyahu just
gave a very, I don't know if everybody's seen it but I got to see a little bit of it, and
that is just not an acceptable situation.
And I've been saying that's happening.
They're not sitting back idly.
They're setting off missiles which they say are for television purposes.
I don't think so.
So we'll see what happens.
I'm not telling you what I'm doing but a lot of people think they know and on or before
the 12th we'll make a decision.
Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif pushed back against Netanyahu's claims, dismissing
his presentation as propaganda.
In a tweet he said the evidence was a "rehash of old allegations" which had already been
dealt with by the UN nuclear watchdog.
The 2015 deal has been a hot topic since Trump came to office, who has long threatened to
pull out of the agreement.
European nations have been acknowledged that the deal had its shortcomings, but have urged
Trump to keep it for now as it still provides the best deterrent for Iran not to obtain
nuclear weapons.

Good afternoon.
There's varied weather conditions across Korea on this first day of May, which is also Labor
Day in Korea and China.
Cloudy skies will feature all day with rain expected to fall on Jeju Island and along
the south coast from this afternoon, while the capital area will have to wait until tomorrow
to see some welcome showers.
Until the rain falls, we'll be covered by high levels of smog and fine dust,... the
capital area is likely to be dusty all day while the rest of the country will see the
air quality improving gradually.
Temperatures will remain warm.
Seoul, Daejeon and Chuncheon will all make it to 25 degrees Celsius, Gyeongju and Daegu
will climb to 24.
With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.
South Korea will see some welcome rain from this afternoon into tomorrow, and most parts
of North Korea will also see showers but with mild temperatures.
New Delhi on Monday recorded a high of 40 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's
average, and another sizzling Tuesday is in store for India's capital.
Those in Wellington will need to grab your scarfs... chilly weather looms for much of
the week.
Heading to North America, it was the fourth coldest April on record in Chicago, but all
is forgiven as Monday was the warmest day of the year so far.
Expect more of the summer-like weather on Tuesday.
As for South America, most major cities will be under mainly sunny skies.
Taking you to Europe,... expect some morning showers if you are in Moscow.
Lastly to Africa, it's getting hotter by the day in Cairo... and temperatures will peak
on Friday.
