I am a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Naval Reserves
I work with submarines
Last year I was at the submarine school, which is the basic submarine capital of the world
I was an instructor, one of the first female instructors there
as soon as I came off my activation, they took me on an hired me here
I am a warehouse technician
anything they need done with the warehouse, that's what I do
but this company, the people here, they uphold
the core values of any branch
they don't have to be in the military
to have honor
and courage
and be committed to the job and making sure it's done right
and done right the first time
The United States means the world to me
we're a strong company
we're a strong nation
and to me they go hand in hand

I am the roofing department's assistant administrator
so I basically get all the contacts
from all the customers
I do scheduling as far as the actual roofing projects
most of my deployments were in the Middle East
Asian Pacific
It's taught me to be able to think first
before you make actions based off of how you feel right away
but mostly, it's just being able to connect
and be cool with any type of person, any background any culture
number 1, it's veteran owned so it's veteran friendly
and then it's locally owned, it's from San Diego
and you know, I'm a hometown boy, I was raised here
I just had a feeling that the culture here
would be a perfect fit for me
one thing I like about the military is, everybody knows what their job is
everything flows right
that's how it happens here
they understand the military culture and the values everybody has when it comes to work
they don't have problems being anywhere on time
and they know the weight of having people depend on them
the effectiveness and the amount of work we do
and the amount of motivation that we put towards each customer
it's amazing, I've never seen anything like that before

I was in the U.S. Army
as a 31 Bravo Military Policeman
I was stationed in Germany and in Missouri
The military in general will give you the best integrity and honor you can have
and, that's really what I grew into
the Army is huge on team work, they only teach team work
you're always watching out for each other
if one person breaks in the phalanx, you all fall
without your soldiers or your marines, you're nothing
I heard about Semper Solaris through one of my military buddy Garrett
He's been in the Amry National Guard with me for some time
and I was looking for something new, he told me the camaraderie was great
that we even had camo colored ratchet straps
we had camo colored shirts
it was a Marine Corps owned company
everyone was motivated and it just tickled me man
and I just really wanted to get in there
and be part of that camaraderie I was so used to and I feel like I have
this is the best job I've ever had
the values in the Army are duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and courage
one of the values I see coming from top down in this company is integrity
our higher-ups love to make promises and they keep the,, it means a lot to them
I've never had leaders who care about their troops more than this company
this is not just a job to me
some of our customers are making their last largest payment of their lives
we're giving them solar systems that are going to last the rest of their life times
and then go into their children's lifetime
we're not gonna give them grommet
we're gonna give them quality American Style work
Americans are pioneers, are they not?
having solar is being a pioneer
you're gonna have your own energy
you're not gonna rely on the big man
who controls your grid who controls your energy
this is what goign solar American Style is, being your own pioneer
