German Chancellor Angela Merkel has once again topped the Forbe's list of the world's 100
most powerful women.
It marks the seventh consecutive year for her to clinch the top spot and the 12th time
overall.
British Prime Minister Theresa May placed second, despite having a tough year in which
her Conservative Party lost a big majority in a snap general election that she called.
In third is philanthropist Melinda Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation,
and she is followed by Facebook's chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg.
The Forbe's list is culled from sectors such as politics, business, technology, media and
philanthropy.

The latest revelation from Seoul's intelligence agency shows North Korea may have reached
a stage where it's capable of carrying out *another nuclear test at any given time.
Quoting the National Intelligence Service, rival party lawmakers said Pyongyang is ready
for another nuke test at tunnel 3 of its Punggye-ri test site, while tunnel number-4 is currently
under construction.
They also noted the regime could begin re-processing spent fuel rods at its Yongbyon nuclear complex
late this year.
The North is pressing ahead with its missile program,... citing satellite images of vehicles
going in and out of a missile research facility in Pyongyang.
The lawmakers also added that leader Kim Jong-un is raising surveillance on top officials and
the regime appears to have resumed public executions.

Brazile Tell-All: Hillary Controlled DNC Using Extortion, Ignored FEC Laws.
The DNC seems to be sinking, and now the rats — Democrats, that is — are clawing over
each other to abandon ship.
A scathing look inside the Democratic National Committee has finally revealed what most people
suspected all year.
Hillary Clinton "rigged" the primary election, and funneled money around to avoid federal
election laws.
The jaw-dropping exposé was released Thursday by the news magazine Politico, but it isn't
the work of investigative journalists.
Amazingly, the stinging piece came from someone who was inside the Democrat party: Donna Brazile,
the interim chairperson of the DNC during the 2016 election.
In a tell-all article that is part of her upcoming book, Brazile burned many people
on the left, including Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Hillary Clinton and even Barack Obama.
The core of the story is a bombshell: For lack of a better term, Hillary used extortion
to leverage the nomination in her favor.
By controlling the financial future of the entire DNC, she held them for ransom… and
the price she demanded was the presidency.
"My predecessor, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had not been the most active chair
in fundraising at a time when President Barack Obama's neglect had left the party in significant
debt," Brazile explained, pulling no punches against her former bosses.
"As Hillary's campaign gained momentum, she resolved the party's [$2 million] debt
and put it on a starvation diet," Brazile continued.
"It had become dependent on her campaign for survival, for which she expected to wield
control of its operations."
"Control of its operations" is the key phrase.
Like a loan shark who bails a struggling business out but demands half the revenue, Clinton
channeled her inner mob boss and used money to buy control.
At the heart of that control scheme was the "victory fund," a multi-state donation
funnel that allowed the party nominee to sidestep Federal Election Commission contribution limits,
and receive six-figure checks from wealthy donors.
The victory fund was supposed to benefit whoever the actual DNC nominee was.
Amazingly, Clinton bullied the party into funneling victory fund cash to her campaign
— long before she had actually secured the nomination.
"Individuals who had maxed out their $2,700 contribution limit to the campaign could write
an additional check for $353,400 to the Hillary Victory Fund," Brazile explained.
"Wait," the DNC chair recalls saying to Gary Gensler, the chief financial officer
for Hillary's campaign.
"That victory fund was supposed to be for whoever was the nominee, and the state party
races.
You're telling me that Hillary has been controlling it since before she got the nomination?"
Gensler revealed to Brazile that former DNC chairperson Debbie Wasserman-Schultz had made
a deal with the Hillary Clinton campaign to funnel that money early, in exchange for a
Clinton-backed loan that was necessary to keep the entire DNC from going belly-up.
This scheme was confirmed when emails from within the DNC were leaked during the campaign.
It seems the Democrats managed money as poorly as they managed their email servers.
"Right around the time of the convention, the leaked emails revealed Hillary's campaign
was grabbing money from the state," Brazile explained.
"The Politico story described this arrangement as 'essentially … money laundering'
for the Clinton campaign."
In addition to being told about the scheme and reading about it in emails, Brazile claims
that she also has the one document that represents the "smoking gun" of the entire twisted
arrangement.
"I at last found the document that described it all: the Joint Fund-Raising Agreement between
the DNC, the Hillary Victory Fund, and Hillary for America," she revealed.
Remember, this is the former chairperson of the Democratic National Committee who is blowing
the whistle on her own party.
"The agreement—signed by Amy Dacey, the former CEO of the DNC, and Robby Mook with
a copy to Marc Elias—specified that in exchange for raising money and investing in the DNC,
Hillary would control the party's finances, strategy, and all the money raised," Brazile
continued.
There are so many takeaways from this article that it's hard to know where to start.
The two most important points, however, are these: The Clintons are as corrupt and conniving
as they come, and the entire Democrat Party is in such disarray that its own members are
turning on each other.
America dodged a bullet during the last election, if for no other reason than avoiding the deep
graft and nepotism of another Clinton in the White House.
At the same time, this eye-opening article should be a reminder of just how inept Democrats
are with other people's money, and how quickly the party of "Yes We Can" and "Stronger
Together" falls apart and rabidly turns on itself as a result of that incompetence.

Let's start with the Catalan crisis… what's the latest?
Well Semin… nine dismissed Catalan ministers have been remanded in custody by a Spanish
high court judge and are accused of rebellion, sedition and misuse of public funds.
However, ex-Business Minister Santi Vila, who had resigned before the Catalan parliament
voted for independence last Friday, was the only one to be granted bail.
Prosecutors also requested the court to issue a European-wide arrest warrant on Thursday
for ousted Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont and four other sacked ministers, who have
fled to Brussels.
Puigdemont has said he will only return to Spain if Madrid guarantees he will get a fair
hearing.
The crisis kicked off since an independence referendum early last month and got worse
when Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy imposed direct rule on Catalonia, dissolving
the regional parliament and calling local elections for December 21st.
The court's decision to hold the officials sparked protests, with Catalan political parties
and civic groups gathering outside the regional parliament in Barcelona, demanding they be
freed.
Six other senior members of the Catalan parliament, including its Speaker, are facing the same
charges, but their case will be handle by the Supreme Court and has been postponed until
next Thursday.

2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics offline ticket sales start nationwide from November - Duration: 2:16.
Korea and the world is brimming with anticipation for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics,... which
get underway in just over three months.
Surprisingly though, interest hasn't translated to ticket sales, which were only available
online.
But that's going to change from next Monday,... and our Won Jung-hwan reports.
According to the PyeongChang 2018 Organizing Committee, out of almost 1-point-2 million
tickets available for spectators, only around 30% have been sold so far.
Even more concerning is the large variation between ticket sales of different sports.
Popular sports such as short-track speed skating, figure skating and ice-hockey show excellent
sales, but other events such as freestyle skiing and cross-country skiing, are struggling
to attract spectators.
The organizers will be hoping that this will change with the start of offline sales in
November.
From the beginning of this month, offline tickets will be available from Seoul City
Hall, Gangwon-do Provincial Office and Gangneung City Office,…
But the important date will be Monday 6th November, when tickets for the events that
have sold out their online allocations will become available offline.
As the offline sales begins, the design of the tickets is attracting much attention.
There are 28 different commemorative ticket designs, each expressing the dynamics of the
games through pictograms of each event.
But the tickets have another special feature:

"As part of the push to make this Olympics the most high-tech Games yet, electronic tickets
are available as well as regular paper tickets.
These tickets can also come as a QR code on spectators' smartphones."
(KOREAN)
"There are additional benefits for ticket buyers, such as free access to the Olympic
Park in Gangneung and the Olympic Plaza.
Also, tollgate fees for private car owners will be waived, and ticket holders will be
able to make early bookings for the KTX train starting from December this year."
With the Olympic torch arriving in Korea on Wednesday, and the start of offline ticket
sales, the countdown to the games is most certainly underway.

I'm Shannon Jackson, also known as Ulfrvif.
Therianthropy Day is on November 4th, the day of the full moon.
Twenty-three years ago, on the weekend of the full moon in November 1994, the 1st Therian
Howl (irl gathering) was organized by Smash Greywolf and held at Valley Lake Campground
in Ohio.
The first Howl brought Therianthropes together and strengthened the community.
Prior to the first Howl, a year earlier on November 7, 1993, the first member of Alt.Horror.Werewolves
began a thread in which he discussed his intense and very frequent dreams throughout his life
of being a bat or a werebat.
He also mentioned that he felt that bats were his "personal spirit."
This day can be a time to reflect on our history.
Consider learning something new about the origins of Modern Therianthropy or take the
day to learn something new about yourself.
This could also be a day to reach out to other Therians.
Chat with someone new or spend time with a friend that you haven't seen or chatted with
in a while.
Strengthen the bonds and relationships that we have with each other as Therians.
This builds a better support structure for everyone so that more of us can help others.
I encourage you to do that as part of observing Therianthropy Day on Saturday, November 4th.
