what it means to be congenial, it's her.

She was a voice of reason, she was easy listen to,

she always was open-hearted and was always a joy

to be around and to lend her help

to other people whenever needed.

She's my sister, she is one of of my top two

favorite girls of the seasons that I was closest with.

And I think if anybody deserves to be

in this moment with us, it is Miz Cracker.

I think out of all the contestants on RuPaul's Drag Race

season 10, she is the one who actually led with her heart.

that when I got eliminated and on set

she was there for me when I had to cry.

And I was on her shoulders, having my emotional moment.

So I chose Eureka O'Hara for Miss Congeniality

because she's a sweetheart.

for RuPaul's Drag Race season 10 (laughs).

And why I vote for her is because she has such a kind heart.

And during this whole season,

I feel that she's been out there to help everybody

including herself along with everyone else.

Monique came into the season saying

that she was the heart of season 10 and she really did.

Monique was very funny, she's very likable

and Monique filled the room with lots of personality

and she was very electric.

And to me, Miss Congeniality is more about,

it's more than just being friendly or congenial,

it's about you feeling, giving the other

competitors electricity and making us all feel

that we're having fun and we're here for a good time.

But also, dare to say the challenge as well,

and I feel like she did a great job

of doing all those things.

that y'all won't hate on for winning.

season 10 and this year for Miss Congeniality,

I voted for myself 'cause I lost, and I could need a title.

I'm just kidding, I voted for Miz Cracker

because after I got the critiques for my third episode,

I knew I was gonna be at the bottom two,

and I started crying in the corner by myself

during lunch time and she came over

and she started brushing my hair and hugged me

and I voted for her 'cause that's why.

- I though I would vote for someone, and one person

in particular that stood out to me against a lot of others,

who's been a really good friend to mine

and not because they had to but because I felt a connection

with them and that was Dusty Ray Bottoms

because I felt that she was someone who has been genuine

in multiple levels to me besides just being a friend

and just someone who I thought was very congenial.

- I mean for me, the person that smiled in my face

every day and treated me with nothing but kindness,

China issues U.S. travel warnings amid escalating trade tensions - Duration: 2:08.

Washington and Beijing.,.... are firing back and forth in different ways.

China issued a U.S. travel warning last week.... and the American government moved to block

China Mobile from offering services in the country.

Our Ko Roon-hee has the latest on the growing trade tensions between the two giants.

China's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday defended a security advisory to Chinese nationals traveling

to the United States.

This comes after the Chinese embassy in Washington issued a travel warning last Thursday….saying

public security in the U.S. is not good because of frequent shootings and robberies.

"Summer vacation is coming, and the summer is the high season for Chinese tourists going

to the United States.

I think this kind of reminder from the Chinese embassy and consulate is absolutely within

the scope of our duty."

U.S. news outlets are reporting that this move is related to the escalating trade tensions

between the world's two biggest economies... because China generally issues travel warnings

in regions affected by war.

Meanwhile, the U.S. government has blocked China Mobile, a state-owned Chinese wireless

carrier, from entering the American Market,… citing security reasons.

According to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration's post on Monday…

the U.S. Department of Commerce said "concerns about increased risks to U.S. law enforcement

and national security interests were unable to be resolved."

This all comes as the Trump administration's plans to impose tariffs on 34-billion U.S.

dollars worth of goods from China.

Beijing is expected to respond with its own measures.

And the ongoing trade-spat is not just between the U.S. and China.

Nations across the world are imposing retaliatory tariffs against the United States,... in response

to the Trump administration's tariff policy.

Canada, Mexico, and the European Union slapped retaliatory tariffs on goods produced in U.S.

The EU said the U.S. import tariffs on cars and car parts would harm its own economy and

would likely lead to counter-measures by its trading partners.

Finance minister calls for deregulation to boost innovative growth - Duration: 2:13.

Innovative growth is one of the key initiatives of the Moon Jae-in administration.

Today, government officials gathered in Incheon to discuss measures to enhance innovation

in the country.

Kim Hyesung has the highlights from that session.

Economic policymakers gathered in Incheon Wednesday to discuss ways to boost the nation's

innovative growth.

It was the second meeting for government ministers related to innovative growth, and there, Finance

Minister Kim Dong-yeon called for speeding up deregulation to boost innovative growth

and create new jobs.

At the meeting, the ministers of trade, labor and the newly appointed Senior Presidential

Secretary for Economic Affairs, Yoon Jong-won, among others, discussed three key agendas.

First, creating an ICT security cluster in Seoul's Songpa gu-district.

The plan is to invest over 500 million U.S. dollars by 2025 to build a complex 25 times

the size of a soccer stadium for use by ICT-related startups and public organizations and to help

create value-added goods and strengthen cyber security.

Another plan is to create innovative cluster areas specially tailored for young people.

The government will select six industrial complexes by this year, and boost private

sector investment.

To help reduce job mismatches, where there's a gap between an individual's skills and the

demands of the job, the government also pushed for vocational training.

Proposed by the labor ministry, the vocational training program of three to ten months aims

to nurture talent in new tech industries like smart manufacturing, bio and IoT in the private

sector and help young people find jobs.

"The proposed measures are goverment-led innovative growth, not that different from the previous

administration.

To really help drive innovation, there needs to be deregulation on top of good infrastructure.

Deregulation to enable startups and new players to enter the market, get financing and opportunities,

and protection of their intellectual property rights so they can grow."

The finance ministry is expected to finalize its regulatory innovation plan by this month

and report it to the Blue House.

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update.

Typhoon Prapiroon is no longer affecting the country as it's now over the East Sea,...

and soon will dissipate.

Now, that the rain has cleared, it's feeling like a steaming oven.

Due to the fast-rising temperatures, the atmosphere is becoming more unstable, bringing spots

of showers across the country tonight and tomorrow.

The uncomfortable humid weather won't go anywhere.

But, the highs will be about 2 to 3 degrees lower than today.

There are sticky conditions in the morning as well.

Tomorrow starts at 22 degrees Celsius in Seoul, and only a couple of degrees cooler in Daegu

and Gyeongju.

And then, there are more spotty showers across the country in the afternoon except in the

east.

Seoul will rise to 28 degrees, Gwangju 29, Busan is partly cloudy at 26.

The eastern region and Jeju can expect some extra rain through the week,... while the

rest of the country will generally stay cloudy.

On Monday, another round of monsoon rain is expected to hit the central areas.

Korea's FDI reached period's record-high in H1 - Duration: 1:49.

Initial figures for foreign direct investment pledged to Korea during the first half of

the year is out.

It's a record setting level according to the trade ministry.

Kim Ji-yeon help us look beyond the uplifting digits.

Korea's foreign direct investment during the January-to-June period this year amounted

to nearly 16 billion U.S. dollars... a record-high for a year's first half.

The estimate, based on reported figures, is an increase of more than 64-percent compared

to the same period last year.

The lion's share of the FDI came from traditionally primary investing countries including the

European Union, the United States, China and Japan.

Also compared to previous years, there were rising investments from Middle Eastern countries.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy attributes the record-high figures to Korea's

strong economic fundamentals and a surge in joint investments through its 'global value

chain,' where different stages of goods production take place in different countries.

Strong fundamentals that have led Korea to become a favorable investment environment

include strong exports, which surpassed 50-billion dollars for the fourth consecutive month leading

up to May.

Also cited are an increase in the consumption of Korea's durable goods and a market boom

in the country's semiconductor and petrochemical sectors.

The ministry adds that the record-high FDI is particularly special in that it was achieved

amid dwindling numbers of global mergers and acquisitions, intensifying trade tensions

between the U.S. and China and a widening interest rate gap between Korea and the U.S.

With this, the ministry expects Korea to gradually reach the government's aim of reaching 20-billion

dollars of FDI annually over the next four years.

Turning to some world cup action now.

Sweden took on Switzerland to make it to the quarterfinals.

And it was quite the nail-biter between England and Colombia.

Lee Seung-jae has the highlights and the heartbreaks from Russia.

The tournament's final round of 16 matches kicked off in St. Petersburg.... where Group

F winners Sweden went head-to-head with Group E runners-up Switzerland.

Sweden... who qualified for the World Cup by beating Italy in the playoffs,... looked

to continue their dream run.

Despite Switzerland controlling possession for most of the match,... the first half ended

goalless.

The deadlock was broken in the 66th minute when Sweden's Emil Forsberg found space on

the edge of the box,... and his strike deflected off Swiss defender Manuel Akanji,... and past

the goalkeeper,... for a 1-0 lead.

The Swedish defense did the rest,.... as Sweden held on to win and advance to the World Cup

quarterfinals for the first time in 24 years.

Sweden knew they'd be playing the winner of the final round of 16 match,...

Colombia versus England.

The match at a deadlock at nil-nil after the first half,...

Colombia's Carlos Sanchez fouls inside the penalty area in the 54th minute,...

giving England a penalty.

Harry Kane, the tournament's leading scorer, confidently drilling the ball down the middle,...

for his 6th goal of the tournament.

Five minutes added to stoppage time,... and a corner is given to Colombia 2 minutes in,...

it's Yerry Mina to the rescue for the South Americans,... as his header sends this match

into extra time,... at one goal a piece.

No further goals in extra-time meant penalties.

England held their nerve,...winning 4-3.

The result means England will play in the quarter-final against Sweden on Saturday.
